These are great shorts, but I wish that you had more color options.

My husband loves the men's 6" dock shorts. They are made of very good fabric and constructed very well. He also loves the pockets. Thank you Bean for offering such good quality again.

I bought the shorts for my son who is extremely picky. He loved the shorts - fit well, made well, and comfortable.

These are my favorite shorts. I loved the pants version for winter and scooped these up for summer! Great fit. Good fabric weightnot too heavy and not too light. Can't say enough great things about these shorts!

This is the second time I have purchased these shorts. They are extremely comfortable and provide ample pocket space.

The cotton twill material is very nice. It is sturdy. The sewing construction is excellent. I prefer the 6" inseam. I am a 34" waist and the mediums fit perfectly. The pockets are also well designed and made of strong material. In the age of polyester , cotton shorts are rare, especially in a twill material.

Husband's philosophy of style is about the same as it is for art, i.e., he doesn't know much about it but he knows what he likes, and he loves these shorts. He's about 5'9" tall and has a hard time finding shorts that aren't too long. He will not wear longer shorts or, heaven forbid, cargo shorts. Prior to my getting these for him, he was cutting off sweat pants, usually too short, but he's so happy with these shorts that he has thrown the cut offs away, something I've hoped for for years.

These shorts are perfect for summertime relaxing. Good length, soft fabric, casual look.

Nice summer shorts. Fit true to size. I bought large, but could have bought mediums as I'm in between sizes when buying men's shorts. Nice colors.

this is 4th pair of these shorts I have just purchased, a new product offered by LL Bean----like the smart colors, low inseam, tie off and nice easy fit. most likely will order another pair!

Love the comfort. Bought them to have well constructed Cottom shorts, not synthetic. Much better in hot weather for sitting. Wore them every day during the hot weather. However, the red pair's size (L) is slightly smaller than the blue (L) pair I bought in at the same time. Odd.

Fit is passable; seems a little small in the waist.

I love these shorts and have owned three of them in the past. Unfortunately, I bleach stained one pair, bought a replacement and then left that in a hotel room. So I bought to more now. This iteration is very good but not quite as great. The material feels a bit thinner, though not really a problem. My real complaint is that the pockets are shallower. Not a deal breaker but I've had keys and other items slide out when I'm sitting on the couch. Still a 4 star item that I will buy again if I need to.

Nice fitting shorts per my son. This is what he was looking for in length and fabric. The only thing llbean is way too expensive, they never had a good sale unless 20% off and that is usually at end of season. There are plenty of other quality brands just as good at a more decent price. I have had this same discussion with others and they all agree about pricing. That's why I bought them for my son, he said he was going to wait for them to go on sale and knew that would not be happening. I took 2 stars away for pricing.

Not what i wanted. But theyre nice shorts. I wanted fleece.

Great summer short. Just wish it didn't have the fake zipper stiching. Who are you trying to fool? Maybe next summer just take it out.

Very comfortable shorts, sturdy and soft material. Only ding is the side pockets should be an inch or so deeper to secure phone, keys, other things I keep on me when out and about.

I was disappointed in the elastic waistband it seemed a little weak

Not a fan of the fit but the quality is good and the color is true to the catalog. Shorts seem tight on my the front thighs but baggy in back.

I have owned multiple pairs of these and while they are great whatever dye L.L. Bean uses for the khaki seems to run when I wash them (I use Grove detergent). Of all my clothes I have only had this issue with these shorts, particularly the khaki. I haven't had the issue with the green and it isn't as bad with the blue ( I've had two pair of those).
