Love these shorts. They look great and the fit is right on. Good for very casual or for times that require a little more upscale. I bought 3 pairs.

Well-made classic shorts are buttery soft but thick and not thin. They fit great and are very comfortable.

I purchase 5 pairs of varying colors of the Men's Dock Shorts in XXL. As they were too large, I returned them for a refund. I reordered the shorts in size XL and they fit perfectly. I enjoy the cotton material, especially as the days of summer are approaching. Thank you LL Bean for making an outstanding short.

These are nice shorts for my husband to wear for his pickleball games, because they wash well, are comfortable and are also easy to press. (Sorry, I grew up in the "iron it and look presentable at all times age" and old habits die hard!) I wish they were less expensive, but it is what it is. Bought several colors.

These are the only shorts that my very particular husband will wear. Last count, he has 8 pairs.

Surprised my husband loved these so much. Normally he is very fussy and doesn't care for pull-ons. He has these on all the time.

I spent all last summer in these shorts; they are the most comfortable shorts I've ever worn.

It was recommended to us by an occupational therapist that we purchase drawstring waist shorts for someone who was in rehab following surgery. It would be easier to re-learn how to dress with this type of short than the usual kind that requires a belt. The fabric is great and these shorts will last long after the person has recovered and resumed usual activities.

I bought a pair of LL Bean dock pants last year and ended up going back to get a second pair this year. In between then and now, I stumbled upon LL Bean's dock shorts and tried them out. Super lucky for me, my first purchase was with a couple colors on clearance that happened to be the colors I liked the most. Easily I found everything to like about LL Bean's dock shorts. They're comfortable, not too big, not too small. The pockets are nicely fitted and I enjoy switching it up with the drawstring waist from my other button/zipper shorts. I've gone back a couple more times and now have 3 solid colors and 2 print dock shorts. It all started with that first pair of dock pants though. I highly recommend this line to anyone who thinks they might enjoy them. I certainly do. The shorts are comfortable all summer. I never find them to be too warm or to hold much heat, so they're nicely breathable and not heavy. I can't say enough of about them.

The shorts are awesome. Fit is very comfortable. Looks neat enough to wear out to restaurants and also durable enough for hiking or yard work. Took them on several trips including abroad. Wash and dry look good right out of the dryer.

These are great casual shorts. Very well made and, according to my husband, quite comfortable.

Been trying all kinds of shorts over the past few years. Finally decided to go back to my favorite fabric, cotton with front pockets, a rear pocket and draw cord for the waist. My old ones wore like iron, were comfortable to the point not being aware of them. These were everything I remembered the old ones to be. Bought two pair with this order, will most likely add a couple of more next spring. I have a 35-36" waist, bought large, around 6' tall and weight 195. Fit just right.

The description is accurate. Comfortable; maintains its appearance.

I have already purchased 3 pairs of these and would purchase one more if they would let me get the tan ones again at the special price.

Leg width is perfect, not sloppy. Trim-looking appearance on a guy who's lost weight and downsized from XXL shorts to XL. All elastic waist band is comfortable, especially at the end of the day when relaxing. A workable fly, I imagine, would be an added benefit. My husband likes them.
