I come to LL Bean for several items they sell. One of my favorite items are these t-shirts. I started buying them because they are 100% cotton and good medium weight shirts. Most other companies sell paper thin, poly/ring spun cotton junk mix. Well now LL Bean has reduced the weight of these and I might as well be wearing a skin tight Under Armour workout shirt with perma-stink. I'd rather them increase the cost a little then decrease the quality. Now the search for a better tee is back on .....again.

Shirts have lovel fabric, beautiful color and generous fit, but if you look at them they stain. Years back I stopped buying Bean's carefree tee shirts because they were not carefree. Other national brands do not claim stain free, but when you use shout and launder with premium detergent they look like new. Sadly, Bean does not pay attention to what matters to consumers, who wants to walk around in tee shirt with stains that don't was out.

Purchase four of these shirts and within two washes every one of them has "bacon neck" I expected better considering the price. I washed them on cold and dried in medium.

Unlike the rest of the shirt, the collar ribbing is very low quality and doesn't hold up well at all. It quickly loses its shape and becomes unwearable in public. I keep replacing them but at this point it's time to find another brand.

This tee shirt is the worst tee I have ever bought. The sleeves are giagantic in both width and length. You could easily fit one of my legs in it. And LL Bean claims this tee would not shrink??? I measured the length pre wash and then post wash in warm water. Shirt shrank 1.5 inch in length. So much for their claim of being unshrinkable.

I have one of these unshrinkable tee's from Sri Lanka. It's super comfortable and feels very high quality. I got excited and ordered 5 more directly from L.L. Bean. However, when I tried them on, the fit was entirely different and the fabric quality as MUCH lower than my original t-shirt. I'm returning all of them.

It's hard to find 100% cotton tees these days. LL Bean's have been my go-to for years, but the quality has changed. Usually, I wear a lge., but now that size is ridiculous in the neck, arms, and waist (for me, who's fairly slim still).
Bean has been increased their "slim" and "slightly fitted" versions of clothes. I think many of us would appreciate that option in these once-great t-shirts.

I brought three large T-shirts but these t-shirt were much bigger then the ones I've brought in the past. They look and wore like extra large t-shirt. I took an old one laid it on top the the new one and it was clearly larger then the older one. So I do not know if this is the new normal to make men feel like their not getting fatter by making them think they're getting a large shirt but instead are getting an extra large one. Since I have washed and worn them and don't want to go through the hassle of returning them I will take the loss and will just buy middles shirts now.

Wore these shirts for years. Wear as primary shirt in summer and as undershirt in winter. Wear really well and last, have been purchasing these for years. Always ordered same traditional fit medium for perfect fit. Latest order of shirts were much larger than previously sent. I will only be able to wear these as undershirts as they are so baggy. Very disappointed and will be afraid to order in the future. Maybe Bean customers are getting fatter, and they are trying to accommodate.

I know this to be a very nice shirt from previous purchases. They start to fray way too soon but not as soon as LLBean's trolling for new credit card purchases to get a "for sale" price.. Why don't you honestly put them on sale, rather than only on sale if it's on YOUR credit card?

I've bought these T's for many years and was very happy. I recently purchased three more, and apparently LLBean has switched suppliers. I have always purchased a Large Regular which was perfect. The 3 new ones are way too big and very sloppy. They are almost like an XL And the fabric weight seems to be slightly lower, and the collar detail has degraded. I threw them all in the washer before wearing, so I am probably out $75 plus shipping. If you liked the old LL Bean Unshrinkable Tees and purchase them now, you have been warned.

After about 10 washings the stitching on the pocket is showing through.
This is going back and I'm not buying these Tee shirts anymore.
They have changed the fabric on these Tee shirts and I don't care for the change.
I have older LL BEAN Tee shirts with the pocket that have been washed hundreds of times without any issue like this.
I just "love" the marketing that LL BEAN used in an email I just received regarding these exact same Tee shirts:
"Unshrinkable, Fade-Resistant Tees
We've tested and retested these cotton tees in our labs, so you can depend on them season after season."
I suppose if they tested these Tee shirts by actually washing them, that they would have noticed this issue.

It can't be a large! LLBean I suppose has modified their sizing to meet a growing American public. I've worn large for 30 years, this is more like a dress

I've purchased several of these shirts in the past, but the quality of these last two is substandard. Much thinner and stretchier than what I was expecting.
Won't be purchasing any more of these any time soon.

I have 6 or 7 of these shirts. I like them very much. I ordered the Mist Blue and it is "paper tissue" thin. It wrinkles so easily even after ironing the shirt. Terrible quality all around. Returning.

I never wore these tshirts because the collars stretched and curled after the first laundering (I always launder new clothing before wearing it).
