I've worn these shirts for decades due to excellent performance. Today I wore one recently purchased while doing landscaping in very humid weather. It didn't absorb sweat- the sweat just clung to my skin. Very unpleasant. Would have thought I was wearing polyester. I bought three and now have worn two. I might return the one I haven't worn yet.

The neck seams were very rough. I'm not sure if it was the type thread used, or the way it was sewn. I had to return half of the shirts I ordered.

On March 6, 2018 I purchased two, tall, Carefree Unshrinkable t-shirts. A t-henly in navy and and just a regular t-shirt in deep olive heather. The shirts fit and washed well so on May 10, 2018, I ordered another Carefree Unshrinkable t-shirt in bayside blue heather. When the weather got warm, my husband found that he can not wear the heathered t-shirts. All three are Carefree Unshrinkable t-shirts and the description reads 100% cotton, which we have always associated with being able to absorb perspiration. These shirts do not absorb any perspiration at all, the water actually "beads" up on the shirt like it has a waterproof coating. My husband loves the navy, t-henly, wears it all the time. I had hoped the problem would resolve with several washings but no luck. Today as I was reading other reviews, there have been complaints about this exact issue as far back as 2010. Prior purchases included a navy t-shirt on September 8, 2016 and a v-neck t-shirt in black on January 27, 2017. These shirts are fine, no problem with perspiration absorption. Again it seems the problem may be specific to the heathered fabrics. I would say that the majority of my husband's casual clothes are from LLBean. Also, he is in need of more t-shirts so this is a pretty big disappointment. I will not be purchasing any more of these shirts and I would not recommend them. I give the purchase two stars because my husband opted to keep the shirts to wear during the cooler weather even though LLBean offered to accept a return.

Well I tried these because Bean did not have any of the similar tees for women they used to have. Sadly I had to return them because they just were too long for me. Please bring back unthinkable tees for women. Only good for men

I have been buying these t-shirts for over 20 years. They have been a relied-upon item for all of that time. BUT UNLESS THE QUALITY IMPROVES TO ITS PREVIOUS LEVEL, I WILL NOT BUY THEM. When these arrived, they felt lighter. I washed them; wore them. Still seemed lighter. Looked through them in not bright light -- WOW "I can see right through a LL Bean t-shirt?!" Last year's not so much. Then, did a closed-eyes test with my spouse comparing last year with this year: "thinner, lighter." I would very much like to see a tangible response from the company on this one. Kind of sad to see a great item decline. Wouldn't it be cool to see the company say something like, "yes; we noticed. Next year, the reliable quality will return."

Have been buying these pocket Ts for my husband for years. But a few years ago he started complaining that the hem threads were coming out leaving the hems flapping. I sewed some and got tired of that. Returned some and I appreciate that LLBean's guarantee works but WHY are the hem threads not as good as in the past? I see this in LLB's Ts for women too. My cheap Hanes Ts still had original hems after 10 years when the shirt itself rotted away and they became rags.

I have purchased these shirts in white before several times in the past but the last two times they have arrived sort of dingy yellow in color. I didn't send them back because I was short on warm weather clothing after moving south from the northeast. Washing them, even with bleach, did not seem to help. I don't think I would waste money on this item again.

I ordered a "Medium" and it is the size of an "XL" shirt. Clothing needs to fit to be comfortable, and look good. I look like I'm a little kid who stole my dad's work shirt. It doesn't tuck in without making me look like a pumpkin! Ordered a dozen which I now have to throw out, they fit so badly.

This is my second time ordering LL Bean Tshirts, plus other Bean shirts. Good material, neck does not sag. Longer than most T shirts. And look good as an outer shirt.

Good old LL Bean Pocket Tee Shirts have been altered, and not for the better. The shirt no longer loosens up during the day and the Lycra Elastane makes the neck stay tight on me all day. Also, in the Why We Love It description is shows the fabric 100% cotton and the Fabric and Care description shows Ribbed trim is 90% cotton/10% Lycra elastane.

I ordered large size and it's slightly larger than I would wish. I do not want to return it and get a medium only to find out that it's smaller than I would wish. I have previously asked for the actual measurements of the large and medium size T-shirts. When I get back is.... Crickets

(2025) 6 of 8 shirts were irregular 1) single side might be curved 2) shoulders don't match 3) bacon strip collars ____ Older years @ too much waterproofing (must wash a few times for a natural feel) ***Only reason to buy is consistent colors*** between purchases shades are the same year to year (unlike other stores where a blue, black might be different even if brand-new)

This was the best T for me for Decades now. The neckband was always so hearty and firm, never flopping wash after wash. But the T I just purchased a week ago now looks like a cheap shirt, the band is wrinkled like my neck. WHY

I ordered one shirt to test its sizing. It fit pretty good. I then ordered 5 more. The 5 new ones were significantly larger, almost unwearable. I guess I just have to admit I made a $125 mistake in trusting that quality control still existed with this company.

I've worn these shirts for 15-20 years. Probably bought over a hundred. Maybe more. For the longest time, these were the king of T-Shirts. All I wore. They were perfect. Hefty, not clingy, held their shape and washed well. Fit was spot on perfect. Long lasting. And the executives in charge have ruined it to save pennies. LL Bean, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This is not the work of an icon. Not the work of an institution. This is corporate greed and disregard for customer service. Disregard for repeat business. Disregard for what you once stood for. Complete failure on your part. But you can fix it. Get back to what you did well. Quality. Make your items quality again. Stop feeding executives bellies and get back to making quality products again. Until then, you'll find me at Fils*n or W**lrich. Shame on you.

These shirts are undoubtedly made with polyester and are in no way 100% cotton. I was very suspicious from the initial wash at how the material felt while wet. After several weeks and different models of shirts began raising suspicions I decided to test them out. In the dark with a light shone on them these shirts sparkled all over in a way ONLY plastic would. No cotton in the world reflects in a plastic iridescence. I then went a step further and conducted a burn test on the middle of the material (not the trim or seams). Sure enough the shirt did not burn and ash but melted into tiny plastic balls. L.L.bean is deceiving its customers to save money- they are poisoning our bodies and planet with more plastic for cost efficiency. This is extremely upsetting and I will no longer be buying from a company with such questionable morals.

I'll admit that I haven't purchased a traditional fit unshrinkable tee for about 4 years. The recent purchase isn't traditional: 1.) the length is too long, 2.) the crewneck tight and uncomfortable and, 3.) the material is thin.

I have been buying these tees for many years. However, the material you have been using in recent years is not to my liking. I find the current material too thin and "clingy", especially the heather material. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore.
