I decided to see how "unshrinkable" these t-shirts are and washed one and matched it up to the one I did not wash. It shrunk about an inch in length. That's the worst area to shrink for men that tuck their shirts in their pants. My previous purchase I got the large tall t-shirts but as a retiree money has gotten tight and they cost more. I am all in on other customer complaints TOO LIMITED IN COLORS! I wanted to add a picture but this site would not let me continue where it says to add picture.

Your medium shirts and tees must be designed for persons much taller than 5'7". Other than that they fit just fine. If I don't tuck the tee in it reaches all the way to my crotch.

these t-shirts are great to start with but fray too easily around the neck area.
so i accumulate shirts that are not wearable in public but are OK as "work" t-shirts.
the neck area must be made stronger and longer-lasting.

I need a tall in most shirts. This regular is short.

Still good quality, but the size large runs a little to big

I tried the regular instead of tall , I prefer the tall. It holds shape far better and feels like a better quality T

This is a solid weight tee shirt and seems well-made. If it fit well, it'd make a great work tee shirt. However, the fit is odd - it's very boxy. I ordered this and one of the stretch pima cotton tees for my husband, both in size large. The pima tee fit beautifully and looks very nice. This tee in a large was much too small through the chest. I then re-ordered it in an XL and it was much too large around the torso. Very unflattering.

Necklines stretch more quickly than ever. Curl at hems on bottom and sleeves. Not what I expect from LL Bean. Cheaper quality but same more expensive pricing. Shame shame.

I ordered 3 tee shirts. 2 black and 1 gray (to get free shipping). Only the gray one was delivered which was the least desired.

Shirt is a great tee shirt except for the collar. The last couple of shirts I have purchased get "bacon neck" after a few washings. Quality control of that material is lacking!

The shirt looks nice, good fabric, but cut really large.

I ordered 3 of these tee shirts in different colors. The gray one was returned because it unraveled after the first wash. The other 2 have been fine.

Nice shirt but it does not breathe. Like a sweat suit

I use to buy these" all the time, but the last few purchases they keep changing the length of the T-shirt. I have some older ones at 24-26" which was perfect for me and now the new ones are 29-30". And I purchased Regular and NOT Tall. Please bring back the shorter lengths. Thank you!

Too bad that the sleeve is cut so short especially under the arm. Even the tall is too short and pulls under the arms. I wish LL Bean would make a fuller longer short sleeve under traditional fit rather than modern fit. These used to be my favorite tshirts. Sad

The Delta blue & the Lakewashed green has significant fading in underarm area. All others are fine.

The Ocean Blue color of this shirt is not even close to the catalog photo!!! Very dissapointing.....but the shirt is a nice fit and still has a quality material. Just don't work out in this shirt....it holds in the moisture and doesn't breathe at all. This is the second failure for LL Bean on their tee shirts with respect to the misleading color in the catalog or on line ad.

2of the 3 fit ok, one was at least a size smaller but marked at the 2x I ordered, and its just not worth the hassle to return 1 tee shirt

I've been buying these t-shirts for about 20 years. Sadly, quality has diminished over the past decade. The material is coarser, and multiple washings doesn't help. I wear a large, and I'm not overweight. These days, their fit is more A-line, to accommodate American men's ever-growing girth, I assume. I've also tried Medium size, but those were too tight.
At the moment, I keep buying them because it's hard to find solid tees that are 100% cotton. An alternate non-Bean choice: Comfort Colors brand, though the collar and tag are iffy.
Lately, I've noticed many product reviews that lament what has happened to Bean-wear, What a shame that LL Bean has cut corners like this, without much quality control and without heeding the many complaints (or so it seems)

Color and feel are great but fit is much bigger than advertised. The large size I usually order was the the size of a tent. Order a smaller size than you normally do for this shirt. I am 5'10" and 190 lbs.

I wear these T-shirts exclusively. Perfet fit every time. Only complaint is that after a while the collar gets stretched and also they are not stain free.

The colors and the fabric on these shirts are nice I just wish the talls were a bit longer. I ended up giving these to my mom they fit her good a bit loose on her but she likes them.

I've found this time the crew neck seems particularly high and tighter than usual. Not totally pleasant at times.
