Lovely shirt but a Large is way to big for me, and I'm stuck with it because I washed it. Next time I'll order a medium.

Love the cotton t shirts but the bacon neck is unacceptable.
It has happened to every one of my Henley shirts. Not as bad on the crew collar shirts. When are you going to do something about it?

I selected the MEDIUM size based on the fit of waffle henleys that I've purchased and which are perfect in the arms and waist.
The quality of the T-shirt appears good, but the size is larger than I expected and much bigger than the medium t-shirts that I buy at local stores.
The sleeves come down almost to my elbows and the waist has too much material to tuck in. I hope it does shrink, in spite of the "unshrinkable" feature.

Hello I love the quality unfortunately they are way to big and I washed all of them so I am unable to return them. Just means it's a good quality shirt I just swim in them

The tee shirt is too long
It is a medium regular
I will not be able to wear it untucked
I could almost wear it as a nightshirt
Disappointed,

These T shirts are well made, and in my case too well made. By that I mean the stitching on the inside of the collar is so robust and substantial that it rubs against my neck. Might not be a problem for others, but I can't wear the shirt comfortably.

Love the colors and the fabric, but the collars lose their shape fairly quickly. Seems a shame, since the rest of the shirt is pretty sturdy.

I have many of these tee shirts. Long sleeve, short sleeve, both of those pocketed, and they all have the same problem. After a few months the ribbing around the neck will fold in half under my chin, which looks really bad If I sleep in them it takes less time. I have a 19 inch neck, but at that I have some other tees I have had for years that don't do that. Other than the collar they hold up really good. So I wear them until the collar folds then they become sleep shirts. I now have LOTS of sleep shirts.. I would really like to see LL Bean address this. Thanks

Shirt was a little too big. Returned item. Kind of disappointed that was credit with a gift card for item rather than credited back to original payment.

I've been buying the Carefree Unshrinkable Tee. They are nice t-shirts, but with a few caveats. For the one I recently bought, I normally take XL-T, and they fit perfectly, but this one seemed longer than past ones.
The biggest annoyance with these t-shirts is that they are not great for hot weather if you're active. Whatever they use to make the shirt stain-resistantwhich works greatalso affects the inside. So if you're sweating, you'll get very little absorption from the fabric, and it feels weird. It's like you just took a shower, didn't dry off, and put a shirt onthat kind of feeling.

Also, the t-shirt is much heavier than others. It's comfortable on a hot day if you're just sitting around, but if you're wearing this while walking through, say, Universal Studios in Florida on a hot, sunny day, it's not going to be as cooling due to the thick material. However, that thickness has its advantageson cooler spring days, this shirt will keep you a bit warmer.
Lastly, and probably most disappointing, is that after maybe 5 to 10 washes, the shirt will start to develop bacon collar. I don't know what has changed in recent years, as I have much older L.L. Bean t-shirts from decades ago that hold their collar shape better than these. For what you're paying for these shirts, they need to do something to stop the collar from warping after just a few washes.

While never an issue with the T's recent purchase of the navy blue to not be sized right as the other colors ordered. Was returned and replaced with same result. Product label & manufacturer all the same. Unsure why this is...... hence the rating

I have purchased three different colors and each one of them shrunk. Washed and dried as directed, still shrunk.

These are nice t-shirts, but the shrink, they fade, and they stainespecially the darker colors. I think they are still better than the average t-shirt, but I buy them mostly for the fit (once they shrink a little after a wash or two). They have a nice boxy fit for my frame. They are a little expensive for what they are. I usually have to replace in about a year to a year and a half after close to weekly use.

I recently purchased this carefree men's Tee in a new attractive green color. I have purchased likely over a hundred of the carefree Tees over the last twenty years so I can recognize a change in quality or workmanship. This Tee is a much lighter(lower cost?) fabric than any in recent years. I hope this isn't a trend. I've stuck with Bean through many vendor changes and country of origin and seldom notice abrupt quality change.

Black is the only decent looking color. I can't understand why the have only ugly color. Why not have colors like the polo shirts.
LL Bean's quality had deteriorated.

I've been buying this tee for years. However, either I was sent the tall size or the regular size is now longer. Very disappointing since I've relied on this tee for years. Love the material, but now I feel like I'm almost wearing a skirt. I wondered if I was sent the tall by mistake, but for four tees? I'd like to order more, but now I wonder if I should.

I must have gone through 20 tees and, with ALL of them, the necks wear out ( stretch and fray) way before the rest of the shirt even shows any sign of wear. A shame. I've decided to look elswhere.

Quality of shirt was excellent. I bought this in a tall for my 6"1' son who has a problem with his shirts being too short. Unfortunately, the tall was ridiculously long even on him. I'll try it in the regular length next time.

I bought a Large-Tall. I think it would be the right size for someone who is 6'8" and weighs 350#. I guess a standard Medium is the right size if you are 6'4" 220# ??!?!

The pocket tee shirts are well made with good quality material but the Traditional Fit is much too loose which is evident in the photos of the models. My chest measures 38 inches and I bought a size medium per the size chart. The shirts fit well at my shoulders but are much too loose in the chest area. I wish that the shirts were available in a trimmer fit or made of shrinkable cotton.
