The spike inserts penetrated the soles and bruised my heels. This a terribly cheap shoe which gave me a painful experience.

Supposed to be 8.5 extra wide/4E but received way larger shoes (12s?) - box said 8.5

comfort was good for a month then i could feel the spikes coming through the sole.
after about 4 months of wearing them, i played only a hour in the rain and got wet feet.
I play twice a week if I can, and walk on a hilly course
In their favour they are very stable on the hills
I sent them back and was refunded for them

I ordered this shoe I got the correct size 9.5 Extra wide. I couldn't get my foot in to the shoe. The top was too tight. I never wore them. I have been looking for a replacement with no luck.

I used to swear by Footjoy Contours, I told everyone it was like wearing pillows on your feet. Right out of the box they were comfortable. Footjoy changed the Contour and I went to other brands for a few years and I tried these on in the store and they felt good walking in the store so I got them.
Just finished the first round walking and carrying and my feet hurt. Didn't know if I was going to be able to finish the round wearing these. The balls of my feet and the lower outside balls of both feet hurt.
I tried the tour alpha dual boa and really wanted to like them but I could feel pressure on the lower outside ball of both of my feet in the store. If they are uncomfortable in the store, I definitely think they won't work on the course.
I really wish Footjoy would find their way back to comfortable boa shoes for people who walk and carry. I really want to like Footjoy shoes but I will have to search for another brand before my next round as I threw out my other shoes.

They are ridiculously bulky. I returned them. It's really really annoying that footjoy has so few boa shoes that are all black. For some reason they are either white or some nasty gray color but will skip a few years of having their premier shoe in boa all black. The way they did the boa was horrific too. Stick with the regular lacing style and not some wrap around garbage. The previous model tour alpha was just a better shoe. Tip. If you make a spiked shoe in boa, make a white, a black and then go crazy with the stupid gray gold shoes.
