Been a FJ guy for 20 some years as of recent sizing seems be really narrow. I had to change brands.

I returned the 8 xw because it was too small/tight. This pair 8.5 xw is way too big. I never had a problem with FJ before these BOAs. There is only supposed to be 1/4- 1/6 inch difference between an 8 and 8.5. It is much more than that.
On the other hand, it is a really nice looking shoe with good grip. I just wish it was a better fit.

The shoes fine, expected a little more comfort and to have a similar feeling to having laces. Feels loose majority of the time while wearing them. Regardless of how much I tighten them.

It has been about 2 months into the New Jersey golf season and I have played enough times with these shoes to give my honest two cents about them and I must say: I did love them at first but as I continued use of them, I became less a fan and started to notice where these shoes flaw in regards to fit, comfort, stability, the BOA system; etc. My feet are slightly odd shaped with high arches and a wide base (2E) and I ordered a .5 size down as was recommended just for clarity. Unfortunately, for me, the laceless system just does not work as it should: when going through my rounds I constantly have to readjust or tighten the system to regain control of my footing. This can be quite a hinderance as some of the courses we play here up north are nowhere near flat, lol. They come loose walking up hills or walking down can feel too tight. Maybe it just isn't the shoe for me but the plate feels unstable when I swing, I feel my feet moving ever so slightly because the fit becomes slightly loose. I love the look, love the style, good shoe don't get me wrong. Could just use some tweaking here and there maybe. I will note one last thing that comparatively, I put on my former pair of Tour 360 shoes from Adidas and I felt way more stable in those than these. Sorry FootJoy, don't like writing a review like so but maybe they are right for others. Sure seems the reviews for the most part are on your side which is great to see. Best :)

The boa is a great idea - one that will be come mainstream no only in golf shoes but other industries as well (already used in bike shoes & ski boots). This particular design is flawed - it doesn't uniformly hold my foot as intended. To get the shoe to fit snug through the middle of my foot I have to bolt it too tight which hurts the top of my foot. To have it adjusted appropriately (comfortable, firm) for the top on my foot the shoe is too loose through the mid foot. Perhaps my feet are unique - but whose aren't? I suspect this has been an issue for FJ because the same shoe this years design is different.
Do yourself a favor - if you're considering a boa design, definitely go with the 2 or even 3 boa option. Far more "fine tuneable"

Look good. I would only wear these on a flat course. Contact customer service about exchanging for another size. These where to wide for me. But they never reached back. Shame. I always was a diehard FJ customer..

The knit upper is soft and comfortable on bare feet. Size is a bit larger than normal. I recommend going a half size up. Lots of flex in the shoe, so make sure to tighten the boa down to help with it. Comfortable for walking on the course - feels almost like wearing a sock with tread on it. I would recommend trying them on in store to see if the flex is right for you.

The shoe fits great and provides a solid platform. However, I have an extra wide foot and you can only get extra wide in white. The fabric rear and cuff get dirty quickly and could not be cleaned. I tried both a tooth brush and a stiff bristle brush with soap and water. While the rest of the shoe cleans up nicely, the rear and cuff are a blackish gray. Additionally, I find entering the shoe difficult due to the tight cuff.

Appears to be a well made shoe. I tried them for 18 holes found there was no foot support while walking, although there was a lot of stability while swinging my clubs.

I liked the shoe but didn't need black and the white looked like a shoe for a nurse in the hospital so when they come out with a different color will buy. It.

The shoe itself is great. I'm 66 yrs old currently dealing with a back problem that comes and goes and I have big feet. I am either a size 15 or 16 for shoe fit and, since you didnt have 16, I went with 15.
They are very difficult to put on because they dont open up enough to get your big foot into. Once you do, they are great and provide stability for your swing for sure. Not sure I had any other option and I didnt want to return them. I would love to try on a pair at a store but, large sizes like this are not stocked and online is my only way to purchase.

I didn't care for them. They aren't appealing to the eye in real life, very bulky and remind me of old man shoes. I immediately shipped them back and now it's 2 weeks with no refund.

Look cool, but could not fit my foot inside. I ordered a size 10 wide and size 10.5 wide. I have a high instep (arch) and could not get my foot in the shoes and had to return both sizes.

This review is for the 2022 version, so please take it with a grain of salt.
These shoes are great in theory however they are not worth the premium price tag.
The fit is awkward, the heal is spacious and have little to no support. This may have been fixed in newer models. My heal has slid around since day one and has now worn a hole in the inside fabric of both shoes. It's disappointing after only 12-15 rounds. I will say that the water resistance has been excellent. From early mornings to heavy downpours, my feet have stayed dry. Again, hopefully the new design address the heal issue but the 2022 version has been lacklustre.

Not a fan of the look, fit, or feel. The BOA loosens up between shots, shoes slip when walking on any grade who's is basically the entire course and the overall look is that of diabetic shoes.

The shoe fits me great - I have a very wide foot - 10 Extra Wide. It is very comfortable for me and fits like my other FJ golf shoes. It is very stable throughout my swing. I love the BOA feature for adjusting fit/tightness. But - I bought a white golf shoe. I've never had a golf shoe that needed to be machine-washed to try to get it clean. And even then the bootie doesn't come completely clean. I've only had the shoes a couple months. I haven't worn them on a sloppy, rainy, muddy day - just dry days with normal amounts of dust from fairways, bunkers, etc. The bootie looked tan or beige. I called FJ Customer Service and they recommended dousing with Spray & Wash and putting it through a washing machine cycle. It is much better, but not really "white golf shoe" clean. I imagine it will take a couple days for it to dry out. Customer Service said they don't cover this type of problem for a warranty/return. I really want to like it because it's a great shoe from a pure function standpoint. But I wouldn't buy again or recommend to anyone.

The shoes started to crease quickly, and it has been getting worse. As a result, they are no longer waterproof. I have the same size as always, but there is something structurally wrong with this pair. I am not used to this from Foot Joy, especially not from shoes from the top line with a premium price.

I've had these shoes for a season and a half. Unfortunately I bought spiked shoes to change them out when the spikes are bad and for a shoe to last longer. I can't go a round now without loosing at least 2 spikes a shoe which is costing a fortune now and footjoy won't stand by their product.

I love this shoe and in fact I have the white version plus two of the knitted versions too. They are really comfortable and a great shoe for when you need to be on softer ground - so for 2/3s of the time in the UK. BUT the heal of this shoe wore so quickly in comparison to the others . Most importantly the BOA string snapped while playing so called for replacement- you get sent to BOA and after ages you get a kit to repair yourself which is the most tricky thing you've ever seen for what is just a fastener!!!!!
I love the BOAs but obt going to buy laces in future as you buy foot joy as you expect them to be protected by their warranty so any problems you can send back to footjoy - so much so I bought directly from footjoy for this reason .
Stick to laces !
Or footjoy - let us send our shoes back to you to be fixed - it's why we buy your shoes
