Cute dress but about 2 sizes too small in the hips! Seriously love it but reordered 2 sizes larger. Had to have the tailor take it in a tiny bit under the arms to account for the larger size? Added to the cost but I have bought two and plan to wear them all summer and travel to Central America. Packs up tiny :-)

I love this dress. I bought it in black and it looks and fits wonderful on me. It fit so well that I bought the same dress in same size in the floral print but this dress fit tight across my bust and shoulders. So I returned the medium size and ordered the large. But the large is too big across my hips. I didn't want to return the dress again so it's at the alteration shop now. Fingers crossed that it will fit nicely when I get to pick it up.

I love this fabric so much, it's smooth, cooling, light, and doesn't wrinkle! Dries quickly too. This is definitely a more form-fitting cut than the Freezer dress, but if you're hourglass shape with a relatively flat stomach like me, then it's really flattering. (For me as a 5'2" 34A 27in waist 36in hips woman, the small was a skimming but not tight fit.) I also appreciate the modest neckline and back coverage. It feels like a more mature cut. I got the white magnolia and the navy floral. I didn't notice this on the navy, but on the white you can see on the front of the dress a bit where the pocket stitching is. This wasn't a deal breaker for me, but I don't love that. I do appreciate that the pockets are anchored so they don't flop around in there, and I love having pockets for small, light items, like a grocery list or a work badge.

I love this sundress and would of given it a full 5 stars if the arm holes weren't so big! I did pay to have it altered a couple inches. It fits perfectly now!

perfect dress to throw on and go to the store or walk the dog. thin material (you'll have to wear a bra) but helpful for cooling on muggy days. fits as expected ordered a large (wear a size 12) and its body skimming but not snug

Love the material and the style--comfortable, easy care, nice fit. Always good to have pockets. But I returned the dress because it was pretty short--shorter than pictured on the model.

Arm holes a little big. Complements first time I wore it. I like the pockets, but creates a draw to abdomen.

This dress is great for feeling comfortable on hot, humid days without looking like you're only dressed enough for the beach or pool (although it would be fine there too). It's perfectly suitable for running errands or going out to eat, especially with a light sweater if you'll be in air conditioning -- and the pockets are not only handy, but help give it a relaxed, casual vibe. My usual sizes are small for tops and 4 tall for pants (5'8", 130 lbs), but I found that this particular dress actually fits me a little better in an extra small, although bustier women might want to stick with their usual size. My ONLY wish is that Columbia offered tall sizes in its dresses and tops as well as its pants, because I would like this dress even more if the hem didn't expose quite so much of my thighs and the bodice extended just a little farther down my ribs.

I bought this for a knock around dress and for golf. The pockets are great for tees, markers and balls. The stretchy fabric makes it perfect for the links. It's long enough that you wouldn't have to wear under pants with legs but I have some short spanks like undies I do wear. It runs a tad small but most Columbia clothes run on the small side.

There WAS a black dress with a printed pattern BUT NOW they are selling a solid black dress for this item.

I received the dress in a timely manner. The fabric had a cool feel. Loved the print and pockets. It was just a little tighter around the hips then I'm comfortable wearing so I had to return it. I usually wear a small this was a medium.

Gave this a 4 for sizing. I am usually a 6 and sometimes a 4, or wear a S, sometimes a M if the item is very fitted. I never buy an XS, even in Columbia products, of which I live in. This dress in a size S just hung on me. Not flattering. Armholes were also large. Loved the color and the fabric. Would be especially perfect for traveling. Can go from errands to work to dinner.

I really like the dress. At first I wasn't sure if I liked the material, but it's very comfortable. The only thing stopping it from getting 5 stars is that the arm holes are little big. But I may still get another.

This dress is going to be great for the summer. I like the higher neckline. It will block the sun on my already sun damaged chest. I find it runs big. I ordered a medium thinking my larger chest (36D) qualifies but nope--too big. I will exchange for a small. Love the fun pattern--black rubbed texture print--it's not your typical black dress. I am not a fan of the pockets. I think it makes the dress seem bulky. Maybe I will like them better in the smaller size? I will have to have the dress hemmed. I may have my seamstress sew the pockets closed? For reference I am 4' 11" and 125 lbs,

Wanted to love this... it was just what I was looking for, draped nicely, had POCKETS (yay), but the arm openings fell way too low, showing the upper edge of my bra, and the arm opening trim bowed out oddly under the arm, left side more than right. For reference, I'm 5'6", weigh 137 lb. My only complaint is with the finish of the arm openings. Sadly, it's going back.

not enough style for my trip to Costa Rica. a little too plain covering too much of the upper chest for a beach type dress.

The armpits stick out in a weird way and I just couldn't get this dress to look OK because of that. On the plus side, the fabric is very soft and comfortable, and the pockets lay nicely and are plenty deep.

I read through all the reviews and decided to order this. I'm short (5'1") and 36DD, so I determined that size L would be best. Well, it fit in the bust, but as others have noted, the armholes are too big and taking them in would have caused the bust to pull. I've had other dresses in similar material, but slightly heavier weight. This material feels a bit too flimsy and clings to my midsection - not the best look, especially since I got it in the solid black. So back this goes.

Unfortunately I thought I had ordered the black dress so the color was wrong. Also, the dress size small was perfect around the bust but was way too big around the hips. I measure 36D and hips are 35. The quality is good I am sorry that it the fit was not slimmer

I have a chill river dress from a couple years ago and loved it. This isn't the same. The fabric feels cheaper/thinner and the fit is different. Darts were added at the bust and hip. Love the color but disappointed in the new fit.

Ordered a Medium, but runs small so had to return.

I wanted to love this dress. I ordered the Freezer dress, which fit perfectly and I love, so I thought the Chill River dress would fit as well. The neckline of the Chill River dress gaped and drooped, which was not a good look. I was also surprised to see darts from the top of the pockets going in towards the abdomen. Again, not a good look for me. I'll buy another Freezer dress.

I ordered the same size as I normally do and it's too small. They need to change the description to 'runs small. Order a size up'. Now I have to go to all the trouble of sending it back,
