I traveled five weeks with this tote as my carry-on for flights, ferries, busses. I loved almost everything about it ... lightweight, laptop size, expandable, thoughtful pockets, essential cross-body strap, color, fabric, luggage handle sleeve, etc., etc. I had "auditioned" another under-seat bag and returned it because it did not fit under all the seats I wanted it to. As other reviewers have stated, though, I wish the Baggalini had a dedicated water bottle pocket on the outside, and I wish the two handles had been a lot shorter, that is, handbag length. I am 5'5" and have long arms, so the bag dragged when using the hand-carry method. However, with my sewing machine (using a heavy-duty leather/jeans teflon presser foot, sturdy medium 90 wt needle and matching thread) I was able to shorten the handles by 8" each. The straps were easy to stitch and cut, in fact, an easier project than I thought it would be. Looks good. Future versions should take into account one's ability to carry by hand, rather than cross-body all the time. That said, I have many Baggalini bags ... I am a fan!

I bought this bag to use as my "personal bag" when traveling via plane. It holds quite a bit and I'm very pleased with it. It will help keep me organized. It is also great for my work bag when I am out of the office for training, conferences, etc.

Recently purchased this bag as I was looking for a decent sized carry on (that fits under the plane seat) that I could fit all of my traveling accessories in, a big jacket depending on where I am traveling (I travel a lot for work) and also put my purse in it while going through security (bc I typically have a carry on suitcase with me too). This fits everything and then some and still fits easily under the seat. It has tons of organizational storage in all the compartments and is a pretty light blue color inside. The zippers glide smoothly and you can really cram quite a bit in here. This could easily be used as an overnight bag for a quick 1 nighter trip if you are a light packer (haha). I also like that I can slide it into the handle of my regular suitcase. The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because the straps are too long (this is mentioned a lot in other reviews). I also wish that it had a water bottle holder on one of the sides. Other than those two items, the bag is fantastic and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good sized tote bag.

I have owned a previous cross body tote from the time they came out. It was just a nylon bag but is still part of my must have travel accessories. One of the zippers busted after years of use and I loved it so much I sent it back to them to be repaired. I love the new bag, great expansion- awesome space for my new IPAD pro- magic keyboard and mouse. I didn't think I would use the straps - just the longer over the body strap but they seem to be just the perfect length. The absolute only complaint is since it is more like a mini carry on I cringe putting it on the floor. I wish they would have added a leatherette material was some slightly elevated feet . I feel as though putting it on the floor is terribly germy and disgusting. I love this bag- please just a minor revision!

Handles sturdy but drop too long, too wide apart and thin, albeit strong. Too wide, too big. Upper needs more stiffnes. Interior great. Looks like luggage, not quite elegant.

Holds more than I thought it would and is designed very thoughtfully, except for one feature: the handle straps. They're very long and not adjustable. If I want to carry the bag in my hand, it drags on the ground. I don't carry big totes like this on my shoulder, so the handles are useless for me. I can use the crossbody strap, but I may just cut off these handles. Or look for a different bag.

This Expandable Laptop Tote is very nice looking and well made. I love it however, I find it NOT a good daily computer bag if you are taking your computer back and forth to work or school every day. I have a large laptop that fits easily but will not be protected well. There is only one, thin, side cushion to protect your computer and little to no bottom support. I am keeping the bag but will not use it for my computer.

I'm updating a review I made about 6 months ago. I have now used the bad for 4ish months and can give some practical opinions. I still like the bag, holds more than I need. I did invest in some small pouches to keep things organized (charging cables, small toiletries, and small electronic devices) in the large compartment. The main issue for the downgrade in stars is the usefulness of the sleeve to put on your roller bag. The material is very flexible so it is very easy to place on a luggage handle but annoyingly difficult to get off. The top of the compartment will fold in as you lift it and gets hung up on the handle. If the material was just a bit more rigid, held its shape a more it would probably work better. I have mostly given up putting it on the bag handle, just carry it over the shoulder.

I bought this bag in an attempt to consolidate from carrying a tote and a laptop bag when traveling. My trusty leather tote is showing wear and needted to be replaced and it is heavy to boot. I wanted a bag that had a laptop sleeve, exterior water bottle sleeve and a cross body strap. This bag seemed to fit the bill and it would serve as an overnight bag with the expandable bottom. I just used it for a 5 day business trip. I am a bit disappointed. The biggest disappointment is the crossbody strap. It is an inch and a quarter wide nylon and not in the least bit comfortable; no padding and when the bag is loaded with a laptop and what most of us travel with, chargers etc, it cuts into your shoulder. The places you can put a water bottle are in the front which interferes with accessing the front zipper pouch, or in the back which, yes, is bouncing off your hip while walking. There is room on either end, and that would improve the funcationality a great deal. There are plenty of pockets and pouches for organization and I found that unless the bag is very full, it is better to leave the expandable bottom zipped, contents do not move around as much. It works for what I wanted, but could be better.

I hoped this was the solution to my daily commuter schelp - but it was not sturdy enough on the bottom when zipped, and even weaker when fully opened. it's just one layer of fabric between your stuff and the ground if dropped. If it were lined with padding on the bottom - you would probably improve the product. It sagged when I added my laptop, small notebook, charging accessories, phone, and the basics. Not confident it would hold up for more.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
My favorite feature is the light blue interior - makes it very easy to see what is inside. Fabric seems durable and the shoulder straps seem to have a bit of padding to them. On the downside, there is not a good place to hold my wireless mouse - the slip pockets are too deep and too narrow. I also don't like the placement of the pencil pockets in a separate section. I had a hard time figuring out where to put my charger, portable phone battery, and ear buds - ended up just letting them flop around in the same section where the pencil pocket it - even though that was a very narrow section. Overall depth is good but doesn't need to be expandable for my use. The big disappointment for me was that there was not a hard floor and the sides weren't stiff enough to hold the bag's shape when it was full. The bag looks great sitting on the chair, but when I pick it up, the top and bottom sag and it looks awful. Am returning this bag, sadly.

I bought this bag for work and after putting the laptop in the sleeve, I feel like I don't have room at all. There's various compartments but no room to really fit anything else in the bag. My thirty-one bag was much better and more sturdy.

The color of the bag is beautiful. I wanted a big bag to carry all my things, but I think the shoulder length to bag ratio makes the bag look strange on a shorter person like me (I'm 4'11). I really like the look of the bag itself, but maybe if the straps were different it would look better. I've carried bigger bags that are more flattering. The expandable component of the bag makes the bag look bloated at the bottom, even when it's not completely filled and if you don't fill in up in a balanced way it falls over because the bag does not have sturdier support at the bottom. The straps do not have enough cushion or support. So if you were to carry all the things this bag will allow you to carry (you can definitely fit a lot), your arms would probably ache or become marked from the weight of the straps. I recommend you buy a cushion pad for the handles. Overall, I was not completely satisfied with the bag and will be returning it.

I was really excited to get this bag! A colleague of mine has a baggallini tote, so when I needed a carryon for an upcoming trip, I bought this to use in supplement with my normal rolling bag. I was THRILLED when it arrived-it fit my laptop, iPad, paperwork, makeup, and plenty of other items in the expandable main compartment with room to spare. Unfortunately, when I went to put pens and chapstick in the front compartment, the zipper was already busted (before I even zipped it up). There was no reason for it to break, but it was like it was defective and unable to zip from the start because it was misaligned. I used it for this trip because I needed it, but disappointed in the quality. Probably will not buy another baggallini.

The ba g is nice and light, but when I transfer from my old tote, realize it'll take some digging to find things that I previously had specific spots for.

I bought this bag for travel. After a while the straps are fraying and coming apart. Poor quality for an expensive bag that should last for a long time!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This bag was HUGE and much too large for me. I am looking for something to carry every day but which has a padded pocket for my iPad in its case when I travel. The bag was also somewhat floppy and unstructured. I sent it back right away and am still looking.

I was loooming for a bag to replace my Baggalini Only bag which has been discontinued & thought this one would do the trick but unfortunately it's just way too big for everyday so I returned it.
