I bought this bag a week ago. It's big! There's lots of room to carry my office materials. Three front pockets to carry large iPhone, keys, and pens. Great organizer. I got the dark gray and the color is beautiful. I carry several 1/8" to 1/4" catalogs, a 3-ring binder, my computer, and other papers. There's still room for more. I have one concern. This bag needs a padded piece on the shoulder strap. The strap is about 1 1/4" wide. With all the stuff I carry, the strap is uncomfortable on my shoulder.

I bought the black and liked the ag so much I also ordered the charcoal and the portobello to see which I'd like best. The inside colors of both the latter are BRIGHT. The charcoal is a crazy-bright yellow, and the portobello is an insanely bright pink (it doesn't look like the red in the photo). Unless the bag is zipped, the inside colors are visible. Especially if you're using this in a professional situation, I recommend the black, with its sedate tan inside, over the charcoal or portobello.

I had a similar baggallini bag that lasted well over 20 years. Loved it but wore it out. I love the Avenue tote almost as much but miss all the inner zip pockets that were in my old one. I've had to add small zipper bags to be as organized as I want to be. Love the quality and fabric pattern.

It could use a larger or separated gusset to allow greater depth to maneuver. When the laptop is in there, it's very difficult to get at things in the rest of the bag. Also, the key clip is so small as to be practically useless. I have my keys on a small carabiner that does not fit into the clip at all.

If you are looking for a cute work tote for your laptop, this is it. I ordered this thinking that it would act as a carryall to work, gym, travel etc however the laptop sleeve is bulky and takes up a lot of the interior space. And I only carry a laptop around maybe 5% of the time so trading off space for the laptop storage wasn't worth it to me. I also agree with other comments that the outside pockets are very tight against the bag and hard to get into. It's a nice bag but didn't fit my needs.

This tote is stylish and has enough room for my laptop and other essentials. It has the right amount of pockets and I am happy with it except for one thing. My 25 oz Swell bottle doesn't fit in the front pockets advertised in the pictures as holding water bottles so that makes me a bit sad.

I like the size of this tote, not too big, not too small. I've been using it as my work tote, but I bought it to use for travel. My only complaint is the size and shape of the front exterior pockets. They are too small to hold a water bottle. Also, if you have large hands, you might have a hard time reaching all the way down into the two on each side of the front of the bag because they taper to a point. It does come with an interior padded section for a laptop or tablet, but I'd prefer it without that feature. It would have more room without it.

But too small for my needs. It won't fit a large laptop. If they made this one size larger it would be perfect.

I like it, I previously had the quilted Avenue Tote which I prefer more. The key holder on the Avenue Tote is on the wrong side of the bag, meaning when I use it as a cross body it is in the back and hard to reach, other than that it is fine.

Perfect side for carrying your smaller purse and other belongings while traveling. Business size folders fit too. Zip pockets are secure and handy for organizing.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I love Baggallini bags and have quite a few of them. The bag that I used as a carry on for many years had to be replaced and I struggled to find the perfect replacement because now all tote bags seem to come with a computer padded section which I dont need. After reading many reviews on this bag I decided to get it and perform surgery. With small sewing scissors i cut out the computer pad flap. It is double stitched in so the liner will not fray. With a seem ripper I disconnected the velcro attachment and Voila! I now have the perfect bag! I have plenty of room for a change of clothes, a water bottle, book, glasses, phone, all my travel needs. There is also a secure pocket for passport and travel documents and it all fits comfortably. The bag is lightweight, waterproof and folds flat when I get to my destination. I know it was a big gamble too take a scissor to a $98 bag but it was well worth it!!

Bought this to travel for a biz trip. Confortable and lightweight. Love the crossbody strap. I do wish it had more inside pockets to keep things secure. Otherwise it’s a great carry on and to keep with me during the long day conferences.

Great carry on bag. Wish it had an outside zippered pocket other than the trolley sleeve to keep travel documents in. Im returning it because although I love bright colors this shade is too bright. I have many baggalini bags and this one is almost neon red/orange. The inside section for a laptop has a long strap that doesn't really secure the device. It would be better if the entire strap had a velcro strip so you can set it at the proper tightness for the laptop. Overall a great bag just not better than the other baggalini I still have and use from 6 years ago.

Bought this bag for a working trip to Europe. Needed something to carry my electronics (and all their accompanying cables, etc) wallet, umbrella, water bottle, etc. With a few of my own modifications, the bag was completely worth the money. Carried it all over the Czech Republic and it never let me down. Big fan of Bagallini and Zappos! Here are the pros and cons. Pros: Everything, including my ipad pro 10.5inch, fits easily into the bag with room to spare. The two side pockets on the front are perfect for an umbrella and a water bottle, as long as it is slim -- the ones shaped like a glass coke bottle slide in and out with ease. The material is sturdy and zippers slide well. The bag is very lightweight and is very comfortable, both as a tote and a crossbody. I carried it all day as a crossbody, even when full and it never felt heavy. I am 5'11" and the bag fits me in size very well. Cons: The pocket on the back of the bag has a zipper on the bottom so that you can attach the bag to a rolling suitcase handle, and that bottom zipper has a tendency to open up about an inch during the day. So I don't use that pocket much lest something fall out. The pockets inside the bag are not very deep/usable and the lining material is rather flimsy. The padded pocket that is meant to hold a computer was too big for my purposes and in the way. The bag does not stand on its own, even when full. HOWEVER, I solved the last three things by removing the padded laptop pocket with some careful sewing scissors and purchasing an inexpensive felt bag organizer on Amazon. This gave me more appropriate pockets, gave the bag structure so it would stand, and turned the bag into a FAR more usable item. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this bag at a local retailer and it fits everything I need or want (and I carry a lot of stuff) without being heavy or bulky. The bag is very stylish and quite easy to carry. Great bag! The quality is great and I know it will last a long time.

It’s a great bag but doesn’t meet my needs so I return it. It prefect except for how it go onto your luggage. The opening is very large on top so it doesn’t connect well.

I bought this for work travel, and it's a very sturdy cross-body bag. It fits my laptop and daily essentials. I like that I can slip it over the handle of my rolling bag in the airport. I wish I was excited to buy this bag because I knew that Baggalini had a reputation for well-made, practical bags. I bought this for work travel, and it's a very sturdy cross-body bag. It fits my laptop and daily essentials. I like that I can slip it over the handle of my rolling bag in the airport. However, I wish that it was designed better. The bag is a triangle shape and narrows at the top, which limits the size of items you can put in, especially if you want it to zip shut. The three pockets in the front are ridiculous. I thought it was just a design on one large pocket, but no, it's actually two side pockets with small top openings that get wide at the bottom, and one triangle middle pocket with a wide top and point at the bottom. You can't put anything wide-like a small book or notebook- in the middle pocket because it narrows down. Whatever you put in the side pocket- other than a mini-umbrella- will get lost in the wider bottom area and the opening is too small to reach in and fish stuff out. I couldn't even put in a bottle of soda, but maybe a really narrow water bottle would work? It's just added bulk with the extra layer of fabric, and added annoyance when you remember the pockets are basically non-functional. You can use the back pocket, but make sure it's zipped at the bottom, and you have to empty it if you want to use it over the handle of another bag. All in all, this bag is OK and I'm sure it will last a long time, but I probably won't purchase another Baggalini bag.

Sloppy sewing and I agree with a few of the reviews that the padded laptop pocket is not useful. I plan to alter the bag to fix a couple of issues (ripping out padded pocket and ripping/resewing small front zippered pocket that had been sewn into the top stitching so that the pocket was deformed). These issues should not exist in a bag that costs this much money. But the bag is the right size, looks very professional, and will suit my needs. I plan to use it as a work bag to carry my lunch, a book, and knitting, as well as a choral rehearsal bag because it’s the right size for my music binder.

The Baggalini Avenue tote is a really spacious handbag. I ordered it to use on trips since my Le Pliage bags are light but offer no real organizational features. The tote is nicely made and has really nice pouches for a small umbrella and/or a bottle of water or soda on the outside. As well there is a zippered pouch you could use for a passport or for your phone. Inside it’s got a zippered pocket and plenty of space for a laptop—I think even a 15” would easily fit into this bag. Alas, I’m returning the one I ordered because I have a 12” MacBook and it just flops around in this bag.

Too bad the roomy back pocket must be unzipped to make the luggage sleeve. That's a waste of the pocket. The sleeve could have been designed to fit over the pocket or above the pocket. This is a poor design and affects the maximum benefit of the bag's potential as a carry on item.

The bag is larger than I expected and also heavier when empty. The deciding factor for the return is that the section inside the bag for the laptop takes up a lot of room and the tab that holds it in place doesn't do the job (too much slack)so the laptop flops around inside that compartment.
