Fits like a glove on my feet and is good for those muddy days

This is my second pair of the cross hike boots. I like the improved cross hike 2 better than the 1.

We love hiking with Solomons! My boyfriend really enjoys these shoes.

Only thing I really didn't like about the Cross Hike 2 is the lacing system. It's great for walking around and fast to lace/unlace but for running and light hiking I could not get the ankle support I require from such thin laces. I cut them out and laced them up with something more substantial. Now they are good to go, like all Saloman products!

Love these shoes. Still getting them broken in. I like the speed laces. The only issue I've found is that the tongue of the boot needs to be wider.

Needed a mid-height boot and Salomon quicklace system helps to secure shoes to my narrow {13AAA} foot. These are fine product very serviceable. The pocket for lace storage is a bit too long, difficult to tighten laces completely then store because laces cover over the storage pocket. I would prefer if the uppers wrapped a bit further around the top of the show, the top of the tongue has gaps on each side of foot/ankle with no coverage.

Enjoy this shoe for my hikes. Will see if they last a hike on Kilimanjaro

Got them on 1 September On 2nd September I went on mount Washington This day I did 28000+ steps 11mi Elevation 6000 feet I did spend 13hours in this Salomon shoes. No blisters what so ever. They fit me great. Only upgrade I will do little bigger (thicker) insoles

I got these about a month ago. Got to wear them outdoors recently for a rainy weekend and found that they kept my feet completely dry. They are also lightweight and held up well. The size does seem to run rather large. Even with my heavy socks they are wider than I'd prefer and allow some heel movement within the shoe. Already discarded the packaging, so I'm keeping them.

Very comfortable and a great fit. Would definately recommend!!!

Great shoes, i had the previous version and liked it !!!

The boots are light, have good traction and are waterproofbut But the laces are terrible. They don't stay tight. They really drive me nuts! I'm looking for replacements but the loops are small and I haven't been successful yet.

I really like the shoes but it just hurts my feet really bad. Had to return mine

I got them for everyday shoes. Living in the pacific north west, the winter is very wet. So these shoes hold up great to that. Until you walk in the house and step on any sort of flat surface then you will slip and fall. They are very slick to say the least. They need to sip the tread better.

Not as comfortable as many previous Salomon boots, not the same insole as all previous boots?? The insole is either missing? Or simply far too thin

Shoes are very comfortable. They need to work on the tightness of the tongue to your ankle. Way to loose. Everything falls in the top of the shoe

Hi Folks, I purchased these for the Walking the Munros of Scotland mostly in the Winter months. Unfortunately the Boot is a Debris Collector due to the Bad Open Tongue design, I would've taken a Shoe option if available. I don't think Salomon understand what a Wide Option is and how anatomically restrictive their sizing is. They need to read "Born to Run" to understand how the Human Foot operates correctly.

Bought these a month ago looking for a lightweight, water repellent shoe for New York City rain days and while the shoe looks great it does not perform as advertised. The very first day I wore them, it rained, my socks were wet. I think these will be my last pair of Salomons as they continue to disappoint. Also, the BOA lace does not stay secured and loosens easily just from walking (haven't tried running in them yet). I have the Black XA Alpine 2 Advance.

These are the 4th pair I have owned. So safe to say I am a fan. The first 3 pairs fit straight out of the box, were warm and incredibly comfortable. Unfortunately the design has changed. The exact same size is tight across the big toe, is not as warm and pinches around the ankle. Why oh why did you change these shoes??

Having worn only Salomon for years I have found these severely lacking in comfort! I had the previous Crosshike and they were very comfortable but these are nowhere near as comfortable.

On the top end these boots at lightweight, breathable, nimble and fantastic traction from an aggressive sole. I bought the boot over the Salomon trail hiker "out-pulse" because I wanted ankle support. These boots provide minimal to none. The one anchor point on the top of the boot does not provide enough purchase for the lace to snug itself up. The result is really loose fitting which feels like I am wearing a the low cut trail shoe after all. I am surprised that this boot made it into production as a ankle supporting shoe, at this stage of its development it's not. Perhaps the next edition will come with two anchor points for the laces or something similar and if this happens I would be more than happy to try another pair. These boots could have been epic, but they fall well short of the mark.
