This is a great shoe for low key hikes. It has a great grip and are pretty light weight. On more difficult hikes, I want ankle support so will use my heavier hiking shoes. Overall these are a great value and easy to throw on for a city walk or a hike.

This is 6th pair of Oboz hiking shoes and I couldnt love the new Katabatic style more! They feel like clouds under my feet. They are a great cross between a trail runner and a hiking shoe. The sole is a little stiffer than trail runner and the tread is awesome. They dry out super quick after going through a creek (I have the non-waterproof version). Adorable color. I did size up half a size for when my feet swell at the end of big mile days esp backpacking but would say they are true to size if you dont need this consideration. Completely broken in by the second hike after an initial 7 mile dayhike. I am so happy with them!

I thought they felt good in store, however when I wear them I find my toes go numb. I think that the toe box is a bit too narrow for me. I will likely be returning these soon

I love my Oboz! Ive worn them for hours over multiple days and they are so comfortable! Its generally difficult for me to find any kind of comfortable shoes but Oboz has become my go-to brand. I now have three pairs and love them all! Well made, perfect support and great designs.

I absolutely love these. I have worn them around daily to break in but there really wasn't a need to because they fit great. Wore them on several waterfall hikes in North Carolina this weekend. Superior traction over the slick rocks, loose rocks and mud. I was extremely impressed.

I love my Oboz high hickers but I wanted something I could wear for less intense hikes, around town etc. These are perfect!

I really wanted to love these shoes. Great style, beautiful colors (especially love the snow leopard). The pair I got had clearly been tried on by someone else, but they were clean and so I didn't mind that. Like my other Oboz hiking shoes, roomy toe box and good tread. But, when walking, the bend behind the toes was diagonal, not straight across and put pressure on the top of my foot in a bad way. They were light weight but had too much cushioning to feel like a light weight shoe. Too wide in the heel, so my heel slide back and forth in spite of trying different lacing patterns. Good try Oboz. A few tweaks to the fit and these could be a great shoe. Sadly, after gazing at them for a few days, I had to send them back.

Love them! They are my favorite shoes to wear. I'm a rural mail carrier and have to carry heavy packages across varying terrain. They hold up to the rigors of the job well!

Long distance thru hiker and long time Altras fan here. If you are considering these shoes for a thru hike/long distance hike this review is for you. I hiked the PCT with Altras in 2022. I loved the light-weight and quick-dry of Altras but would experience a lot of ball of foot pain at the end of big-mile days. I switched from Altra Lone Peaks to Olympus hoping that would help, but still experienced the same ball of foot soreness & pain. These Oboz have been a game changer! I hiked the colorado trail with these in 2023 and had virtually no foot pain at the end of the day. You have the same, minimal ground feel and light weight that you do with Altra Lone Peaks but somehow with much better support and durability. Also worth noting the 8MM drop compared to Altra's zero drop... turns out zero drop wasn't for me. The other huge highlight of the Katabatics is durability. At the end of my 500 CT hike I had no structural issues with the Katabatics and would have felt comfortable trying to push more miles with them. On the PCT, my Altras would get absolutely destroyed after 300 miles and be falling apart - huge holes in the mesh, outsole separating from the mid sole, etc. I would push them for another 100 and then have to buy a new pair, which is so expensive and wasteful. All these being said there are two things I still miss about my Altras - the quick-dry and the roomy toe-box. The Katabatics felt a little snug at the widest part of my food (the base joint of my big toe-area) which led me to size-up a half size for my CT hike. I wish I would have stuck with my true size as wearing a larger size meant this shoe was bending more on the top of my foot leading to some pressure and rubbing there. On my hike I noticed the Katabatics seemed to wear-in quite comfortably and I suspect that the slight snugness would have gone away had I just gotten my normal size and spent more time loosening the laces up top. Lesson learned! I've gotten a new pair in my true size and will be taking them on the Tour Du Mont Blanc this summer. These are definitely worth a try for your next thru hike! For some additional reference I have a low/medium arch with medium/large width feet and don't use any special inserts. Hope this helps!

I have been searching for a hiking shoe that would fit my size 11 foot, while not being too wide, and this one fits the bill perfectly. Out of the box, did a good climbing hike, and the shoes are a dream both up and down on the steeper parts of the rocky trail, with no hotspots. Also, my superfeet inserts fit perfectly. Thank you!!

Womens Kebatic Low. So far Ive used these for daily wear and short walks and theyve been really comfortable. They lace securely and I dont feel any rubbing. Oboz are one of the only shoes I can wear due to arthritis in my feet. Im not a fan of the smaller toe box and I dont think they have quite enough support and stability for a trail hike but Id buy them again for casual wear. I was a fan of the original Sawtooth and would love to see that quality again in a shoe.

Great hiking shoes. Good traction, feel good on my feet from the first time I wore them. Finding the right size was difficult, I ordered and returned three times. Finally, drove a distance to the store to try on options. Standard sizes are narrow, doesnt make sense for a hiking shoe. Only some models come with wide widths.

I cant say enough good things about these shoes. Theyre very light and comfortable, and have surprisingly good traction. I wear them to work, where I do a lot of walking, and my feet feel great. Ive had to navigate ice since Ive bought these and I havent lost my grip yet! Mileage may vary, of course, but these have been very stable for me. Im right between a 7 and 7.5, so I ordered the 7.5 and they fit well with a little room.

Absolutely love these shoes. Typically wear a size 7 but bought 7.5 for extra toe length as I was having tenderness after a lot of up & down trail hiking. Wore these for the first time on a 5.5 mile hike. Perfection! Better than the Sawtooth which Ive worn for years.
