Bought island mid waterproof - loved the color! Nice light & narrow shoe but extremely disappointed by the nonexistent arch. Have several pairs of Sawtooth II & Sawtooth X & great support, arch, & traction. I really wanted to love them but returned & bought another pair of Sawtooth X instead. Hope Oboz rethinks the arch support; I stopped wearing Merrells for the exact same problem.

These are amazing boots and I am now an OBOZ fan! They fit and look great! I like the lacing and the ability to tighten them for my narrow foot. They are more flexible and lightweight than other hiking boots I have used. The tread worked great for steep up and downs, packed and melting snow, and some sloppy mud. I have used them with traction and have been happy with the feel on the down hill-no toe rubs. The waterproofing was outstanding and they were really warm. I will probably try the Katabatic low(without waterproofing) for warmer-weather trail running shoes.

I bought these at the beginning of the year so that I could keep up with my dog on rugged walks. They fit my needs very well and are comfortable outside of the box but a word of caution. I experienced two minor falls because the top clips for the on the laces caught onto opposite shoe/ foot. Be very careful.
