I only use Smartwool base layers. They are the best

Super comfortable and warm. I have been using the all weather bottoms and two different weights of the 1/4 zip tops for years now and have no complaints.

These are lighter than I expected, but they are very comfortable and made with quality in mind.

Long Johns, need I say more? The all-seasons are light for active use.

My go to base layer for over thirty two years. Smartwool clothing performs every time I wear it and enjoy the feel and performance of wool.

Great fit and keeps me warm. It is my 3rd Smartwool product and all have maintained, quality, look and performance.

I love the color and the fabric, which is light enough for summer, and probably less likely to wear out with the synthetic component. The one thing I don't like is the new and very tight elastic waist band, which aside from looking like a Times Square moving advertisement for Smartwool, is so tight that I have to order Extra Large bottoms and only Large tops. This in turn makes the bottoms loose and droopy {looks nothing like the model's picture).

Outdoor athletics, particularly when I might get rained on and splashed on. My legs did not feel cold in 55F rain!

Glad you changed the waistband from your original style, (which I still own), but wish you would bring back the heavier weight.

I used this and the matching top for skiing in 20-30 degree weather. I was the right temp throughout the day with a fleece midlayer on top and a shell jacket. Didn't sweat with this base layer compared to the clammy feeling of a polyester or synthetic base layer. I would purchase again.

I have other Smartwool base layers that are heavier and are great under my ski pants but the ones received are not heavy enough for cold weather

As described. For the price I was expecting these to be especially warm or especially good fabric, but it is just a normal pair of long john's that should have cost at least half the price.

Once the temps drop I wear these everyday. They are awesome! Warm and comfortable!
