Bought these for hiking around New York City on a winter vacation. Got in about 8 miles a day while there, and the shoes were comfortable the whole time. It's a warm winter (temps in the 40's) so maybe not fair to call it winter...but all of my other shoes hurt my feet by the end of the day (neuropathy), but these were great.

I was looking for this type of shoe to use before having to switch to boots. My regular gym shoes would get wet. These were advertised as keeping out slush and rain up to point. And they have worked out just fine for me. If you expect to step into puddles or such they probably will get your feet wet. I haven't tried that yet. The fit was overall ok but the toe box is just a bit snug for me even with the wide size. Overall a good shoe for the purpose intended.

Schizophrenic review alert. So, I'm typically right in between 11M & 11.5M - depends on the brand & shoe. Ordered these in the 11.5 first and hated them for their fit. The back end was great, but the toe box was so big there was no way I could get them cinched up enough to keep my foot from sliding around. It was like I was wearing a two different shoes in one. Since the length seemed just slightly long I ordered the 11s - just because. Whole different fit. If anything, the toe box was a little tight but not too bad. Solid, snug shoe all the way around. Never had such a difference in a half size before. Been wearing these for a few days now and really like them so far. The sole/mid-sole is softish, but still firm enough to feel very supportive. Comfortable. Hope it stays that way. Don't know if I just got a bad pair the first time, but I'm definitely keeping the second one.
I'd also recommend:

I am a size 11.5 wearing Brooks or Asic sneakers. I purchased this shoe in a size 11. This was suggested by Bean since there are no half sizes. Unfortunately, while the front of the shoe was a good fit the back of the shoe would not stay on my heel. My heel was constantly slipping out. I had to return them. I think if you have a larger than average heel these may work for you.

There is a hard ridge near the heel below the softer back collar or rim. It constantly rubs and caused a large blister. The construction is different than my first pair which were very comfortable. Ill be returning them .

I bought the EE wide10.5 and its very comfortable and has room even with a heavier sock. The support is good as well . The cushion sole makes for a smooth walk. The shoe has a light feel not heavy like a boot.

I LOVE these shoes! Theyre lightweight, warm, very water resistant and extremely comfortable and supportive. My husband is impossible to buy for because he always says he doesnt need anything. He liked these shoes so much that he actually requested a new pair for Christmas. I just wish the womens colors still included a stone/beige color I got a few years back.

Nice snow shoes. They look good and seem well-made. Out-of-the-box, I couldn't keep them in the house because the smell was so strong. Here's hoping the smell goes away before the first snow.

Love the color. Love how they look. I didnt like the feel on the heel. It felt like it sat too low and the shoe felt like it was not hugging the heel tight enough even though it was the smallest size I could wear. It just didn't make sense. I also didn't feel like it did anything to keep my feet warm. I didn't feel like it was any better than my tennis shoes. About 38 degrees out and my toes were still just as cold as wearing regular shoes.

Neutral rating because my husband had to return them due to them running too large. He ended up going to the local store and finding a water-proof pair of right-sized hikers that happened to be on sale. He like them very much and has already submitted a review on them.
