Not a fan of Velcro. Wish there was another option. Still had to add an insole for more arch support.

Bought the Outflow to use as a boat shoe, sole has good grip and does not mar the deck. The full coverage mesh top is warmer than a sandal and provides a secure fit. Not as easy to get into as my normal Keen sandals but for fall and winter sailing the added warmth was nice. The reason i did not give this shoe a higher rating is because the hard plastic triangle on the side of the shoe pinched my ancle bone on numerous occasions when i was flexing my ancle sideways. This is a design flaw and i would have sent the shoe back, but the window had expired.

Use for wearing around town and when doing a lot of walking. Problem is the plastic clips on the sides dig into my ankles. Have to wear band aids with padding to prevent irritation.

Thought they would be much easier to put on/ take off. Much more difficult than my regular boots They are faily light and comfortable, but tedious to put on and take off.

It is a good shoe but I have skinny feet so the straps do not tighten up enough. If you have fatter feet should be a good shoe

I use it for boating and wade fishing in the Bahamas. I had hoped the fit would be snug enough to keep sand out but not so. Otherwise good.

I liked the style and sturdiness of this shoe but... something was amiss with the right shoe I received. Something hard on the inside of the right shoe was jutting into my foot. It wasn't sharp but after walking in the shoes for a few minutes it cut the outside of my foot. I felt inside the shoe with my hand and found the object was covered by the inside lining of the shoe but it was hard enough and large enough (possibly a rivet) to press into my foot. The same object was not present in the left shoe so I presume it isn't a design flaw, but rather it was a problem with the assembly of this particular shoe. I have returned the pair of shoes and requested a replacement pair.

I really want to love these, but there's a couple things holding them back. The toe box is pretty narrow. Rubbing both sides of the ball of my foot and my toes. I could live with it, but it is uncomfortable. The biggest problem though, is the strap over top of the ankle. It is WAY to long. I ordered the right size by length, and, to strap them even slightly snug, there is barely a quarter of an inch of active velcro. The reasons I want to love them? The upper is super soft and comfortable, and the foot bed feels very good. But I like my shoes to be secure underfoot, and not be able to move all about on a whim. The upper strap just doesn't allow for that, unfortunately.

I needed a water shoe that offered good rock protection and didn't let small rocks in. I thought these shoes were the perfect option until I wore them for a few hours. It did what I wanted it to do but the plastic strap ring near the heal cut into my foot over a few hours, on both feet actually. It was extremely painful and I returned them immediately. This shoe needs a redesign where there's no hard plastic rubbing against the ankle and it would be the perfect water shoe.

I really wanted these to work, but the fit was too large and there was too little velcro to make the shoe fit snug and secure.

Velcro on straps is not long enough to tighten straps sufficiently Material in the heal of shoe needs some kind of soft padding, it's giving me blisters @ the back of my ankle

Product was defective and had a terrible time returning it as there was not a return label in the box. Have not seen credit to my credit card. Always had excellent results with TEVA but was skeptical to order again.

Nice looking online, however once received the shoe was big and bulky. To many Velcro snaps, one on the heal, instep and foot that made the shoe cumbersome. Returned for the Universal CT and so far this is the shoe I was looking for...good comfort and no velcro to deal with.

I was shocked and disappointed that I was purchasing water shoes and not running shoes without realizing it at the time of the purchase. I can't believe that there were not insoles or arch supports inside the shoes when the shoes arrived so I went out and bought insoles and arch supports, but they still are not nearly as cushiony and comfortable as my running shoes that I purchased from another company. I love the Sunflower color of the shoes, but I only will be able to wear the shoes on rainy days, at the pool or at the ocean because I need to wear shoes with really good support.

I really wanted to like these shoes but the execution is not up to Teva's other products I've used. The velcro is set so you cannot snug down on lower volume feet. The fit was just not great and even when cinched down so the Velcro barely touched the buckles are not tapered like on the sandals and dig into you ankle. I even sized down almost a size and the fit was still not great. The materials seemed like they were good quality but I returned them based at n fit issues.

This product is a liability. I used it once on a river excursion and it caused intense discomfort at each of the hard plastic strap points. I have severe bruising and swelling where these plastic pieces repeatedly smashed and cut into my foot. This shoe is absolutely horrible and should be pulled from the market. Unbelievable how a shoe marketed specifically for water hiking could be this terrible and cause injury. I have pictures of my swollen bruised foot next to the Teva with 100% correlation to the hard plastic strap pieces - literally a super intense line of bruising that looks like the shoe is still on, just outlined in black, blue, and red bruising. I have been unable to resume normal exercise for almost 3-4 days after using these, and it's painful to put on any normal shoe or sock for that matter. Avoid at all costs.

Front plastic strap connection on each shoe. Has a small pocket between fabric and plastic for river stuff to enter and stay. Painful and you have to remove shoe constantly to clean out. I would not purchase again!

Bought these to replace a soft Crocs soft wet shoes; for the last 10 years I have used the Crocs as boating shoes, but they don't make them anymore. Crocs were inexpensive, durable, fitted like a glove, great , simple adjustment with a single Velcro strap. Saw the Teva Outflow Universal and thought that 3 adjusting Velcro straps would be an improvement. But the execution is terrible. Although in my case sole size is perfect, the webbing is so big that the straps run out of Velcro before adjustment, dangling all over (I am not skinny, actually a little pudgy at 5'6" and 146 pounds). Worse is that the plastic tabs where the straps are pulled to adjust have angles and are made if a material that make pulling the straps and adjusting difficult and impossible to adjust with one hand. Also the back tab digs into the ankles making it very uncomfortable. The front adjusting strap is directly over the toes joints, making it too painful. Cannot use them without first donning a neoprene sock to protect the foot and get some type of adjustment, but still very uncomfortable. Cannot wear it fir very long. However, looks like it is well made and materials are good quality.

I was very hopeful for this shoe, it sounded so promising. Made for both ground terrain & water, quick-drying. I knew I had to buy a pair for my upcoming hiking trip in the desert. The first time I tried them on for a hike, my ankles were in pain. The triangular hard plastic component on both sides of the shoe used to fasten the velcro straps dug right into my ankle bones on either side, resulting in this piercing, jabbing pain for any step I took that was at a weird angle. I really hope the Teva team takes the time to re-evaluate the design of this shoe, because as cool as it sounds on paper, this is a severe flaw in the design that can cause serious injury on more strenuous hikes. I had to purchase a new pair of hiking shoes on my trip just to make sure I wasn't in constant agony on the way up. Giving one star because that's the minimum, but I've never had to throw away a pair of shoes like that.
