First off, I love the look of these shoes. They're comfortable too. I just wish they were durable. Purchased a pair in February 2022 and they are cracked and pulling apart along the bottom. I only wore them to go shopping maybe twice a week, if that. Very disappointed in this LLBean shoe.

I was very excited to receive these shoes. They were exactly what I was needing. But like so many others have reported, I simply could not stop my heel from slipping. I ordered my usual size 8 and the length and toe area was perfect. But the heel area is so wide that even with orthotics and thick socks my heel slipped up with every step. So disappointed to have to return them.

These rain shoes seemed well made but rather overpriced. Although I do normally take a size 10, these size 10's turned out to be way too big. I had to return them and was charged a return fee of $8.95. This really seemed very unreasonable to me, as clearly purchasing shoes online and getting a good, comfortable fit, is a very difficult thing to do. These rubber, rain, shoes were nearly $90.00. Personally, LL Bean Inc. will not get my business again because of their chiseling, return fee policy for shoes.

I guess I totally made a mistake. For some reason I thought these were leather shoes - they're not. I'm still looking for my perfect shoes.

I bought these in April of 2024. I have worn them about five days a month since then. They have developed a crack across the top which goes all the way through. And because they're older than a year I cannot return or exchange them. Terrible quality, so not what I expect from Bean.

I bought these a little over a year ago and loved them for walking in the woods in wet weather. They were very comfortable. Unfortunately they started cracking and leaking before I even had them a year. So disappointed.

Leaks. I've had to bring back 3 pairs - uppers come apart from the soles. I don't even use them on rugged terrain- just walking on a grass and dirt dog path. Even with dew on the grass water gets in between the inner sole and the sole. Have to take the inner sole out. Useless. So disappointing.

Only bad product I ever purchased from LL Bean. The uppers both cracked in less than a year. Also, the rubber soles are absolutely treacherous in rain and snow -- the very weather one would choose to wear them. And small stones constantly get stuck in the poorly designed tread.

Do not buy these. Huge disappointment. They run bug and slide around to the point where I'm constantly rolling my ankles. I bought them the week of July fourth and within just a few uses were cracking and water getting in them. After just two months of use they are totaled and I have to throw them away. $100 down the drain.

Bought and used less than 8 months and cracked so badly they're unwearable. Disappointing because I had higher hopes for lasting quality and I hate creating unnecessary waste.

I bought these at the end of May in the Danbury, Ct store. They are perfect except they started to crack within a month. The other shoe is now cracked and the sole of one is separated from the main body. Why is this shoe still being offered for sale. Very angry

I wear only in my yard during heavy dew or rain; the rubber material cracked in several places allowing moisture to enter shoe box. I ordered two pairs and haven't used second pair yet. Worthless product. Definitely disappointed in the purchase.

I bought these a year ago. They are too high with the heal and unstable. Too wide also making them sloppy side to side. Occasionally I would roll my ankle. Now I just rolled my foot gardening and broke a bone in my foot. It's a bad break with months of recovery. The idea was great but poor design.

The garden shoes work really well. The soles keep you from slipping in loose soil with the great traction.
However, when I went to take them off today, I noticed both shoes had four identical cracks across the top of the foot. They were purchased last July so only 12 months old. Expected more from LL Bean in terms of longevity and quality.
If you only garden occasionally, you will probably like them. However, I am in my garden every weekend in the summer and needed a durable shoe.
As others noted, they run large so size down.

(In all fairness, I purchased an exact pair in a color not currently offered in the Freeport Outlet store in April 2025). They started out fantastic. Fit great, was completely waterproof, etc. I wore almost every day in the yard. However, just today (July 2) I was walking along and realized the whole inside of one was ripped open about 4" where it was glued into the upper part of the sole. I have applied Shoe-Goo in a desperate attempt to repair them in some form just to get me through the rest of summer. Upon further inspection, both shoes are displaying small creaks along the toe box where your toes flex. Just terrible quality and I can't believe I'm alone in having this problem. Of course, I didn't save the receipt so no return. Be forewarned, these might be fine for the gentleperson "gardener" who goes out maybe once a week, but for shoes to blow out after, not even, three months of wear - don't waste your money.

These were excellent... until they weren't. They received only light use, but at just over a year old, they're cracked and pulling apart. The cracks go all the way through the rubber.

I like the look of these, but they split across the toe after 2 weeks. Then they looked bad, in addition to being not suitable for wet walking.

I bought this in March 2024,wore for summer months in MN and stopped wearing September-May (winter boots are required here). Now these lovely yellow boots are cracking in multiple places I am so sad! I really thought they would make it a year of wear.

I bought these last year in early July and initially I was happy with them. However, they have split across the toe, top is coming loose from the bottom and in wet grass my feet get soaked. They were a waste of money.

I returned the first pair because the rubber split on top Customer service made it right and gave me another pair.
Not only did the second pair split in the same spot, the rubber also split in other places on top. I tried to glue the split but it didn't work. The shoes are useless. My feet get wet. I'm

I was so excited to receive these shoes for my birthday, mainly using them for gardening or walking in the park. The color, fit, and comfort were exactly what I was looking for. I was so sad when they cracked above the seam of the top box. I'm expecting they will be leaking soon. :-(

I purchased this item 1 year ago but did not really start wearing them until about 6 months ago. About a month ago, I noticed cracks in the shoes, similar to what others have experienced. I have only used the shoes for walking my dog around my suburban block. I am very disppointed in this product. I love Bean shoes and have never had a problem but would caution people not to buy these.

Loved these for a month and they seemed to stain easily and both of them split up the sides and cracked on the top. Had for 2.5 months. Returned.

Bought these Wellies for my wife to do barn chores in. She has had them about a month and they are cracking and coming apart in the area by the toe cap.
