Purchased a week ago, fit perfectly but I got a snapping sound with virtually every step - like popping bubble wrap. Wore them for a week hoping to "work it out" but no success. Just processed the return

I like the shoe looks and feel. However, this pair has the left shoe making a clicking sound when weight is put on it and released. To me it sounds like the shank embedded in the shoe is loose or broken. Not something to wear away or that I can repair. I will exchange for a different pair.

Really significant drop in quality over similar style shoes purchased in the past from LLBean. Have the same brand shoes in Boot form that I purchased a few years ago. Night and day difference in quality of rubber sole. New sole is more like a plastic than rubber with little grip. New shoes have stitching on the bottom of the sole in the toe area. How is this going to hold up over time? How does LLBean justify removing their (best in industry) life-long return policy and degrade the quality of their products by and order of magnitude. Shame on LLBean...

These are exceptionally well-made shoes with many great features. The problem for me was that the tongue of the shoe is sewn on, not built as part of the front as normally a shoe is constructed. This seam forms a large hump in the shoe interior which rubs uncomfortably across the top of one's foot. I had to return them.

Awesome shoe; fit, not awesome. 12.5w too small and 23w is a clown shoe. I love the look, the feel; the material. Got a 13w and it was huge. LL Bean, rocking the awesome return policy, sent me a 12.5w. Wore it a few times and it crushed my feet and gave me blisters. I'm about to return it as well. If you don't have odd, gorilla feet as I do, I suspect you'll be super excited about these shoes. If you have semi-wide feet and are in-between sizes, wait for LL Bean to come up with a fix (please do as I so like the style and quality) or look elsewhere.
