Yeah I like this shoe. I feel like it is a pretty good shoe.

Very comfortable shoe that look good, very good quality

Wore around the house for several hours to make sure there would be no irritation, as I need a roomy toe box to avoid triggering Mortons Neuroma. Great fit, comfortable and well made.

Top quality shoes with excellent all weather soles

Exactly what I was looking for live the color in fact live everything! Comfortable out of the box. Similar shoes are $300. Great value

Well constructed. EE width is generous. Heel is a little wide for me.

This was the perfect show. I loved the style and look, and quality. Unfortunately for me, the EE width was not quite wide enough for my foot.

I love the style of these shoes. I was worried about reviews of the soles but decided I had a year to return them. Unfortunately, I'm returning them after wearing them less than 20 times. They are tough on my feet. They just are not braking in like I would expect from an Llbean shoes. Also, the laces broke and when I contacted customer support they said they don't have replacements. It's a small detail but how can laces fail after being worn so few times?

Old dude with lots of miles on my odometer. Of all the shoes I have ever purchased, these shoes are the MOST comfortable right out of the box I have ever worn. Zero break in. Must be the footbed insert. I wanted to purchase the Wolverine Dura Shock oxfords but Wolverine keeps taking them off the market. I rate these LL Bean Bucksport shoes as good or better than the Dura Shocks. My only concern is upkeep. Not a traditional shiny leather to be polished. Not a furry nap. Very short nap? No care instructions were included.

When I first saw this shoe, I was impressed. Good looking, appeared to be rugged, yet dressy enough to wear with work or casual dress. Normally I am a size 10 1/2. They felt large. I wanted to try a 10. The store had to order them from Maine. Got them direct to home in a couple of days. They also were large. Tried a 9 1/2. Too small. They were also very stiff and hard. I felt that the shoes would have been very uncomfortable. Brought them back. I was disappointed.

I ordered the same size as the one I was replacing, however the width was not as wide as it was a few years ago. Its a great shoe just order one size wider than what you use to wear.

This was a hard-won four stars. The shoe in general is terrific. Getting it was a test of patience because it was on backorder for around four months. I'm sure not due to any fault of LL Bean. But then when I got it, it was so narrow I could barely get it on, and it was the size that I have been wearing for decades. (I also had bought another pair of shoes elsewhere in that same width size and they fit fine.) So I exchanged them for the Wide EE size. They too were very narrow and I was about to return them too. But then I read through all the reviews and discovered that the insole was removable. I did that and then they were too loose! But I had an old pair of insoles that were worn down a bit. I installed them and they made everything fit perfectly. So now I - finally - like the shoes very much. They seem to be very sturdy shoes.

Nice looking shoe, but not very comfortable out of the box. Very hard sole. Hopefully it will feel better once it breaks in.

Bought these in a 13w. They were surprisingly heavy, very hard-soled and not very wide at all. had a pair of these years ago and loved them. Was surprised how different these felt.

My size but felt loose in store. Continues to feel loose after break-in. Although a medium size it seems wider than most mediums.

I gave these three stars because I have worn them for a year and will continue to, but I would not recommend them or purchase them again. When I first got these they were stiff and took a long time to break in; these are not comfortable out of the box. As others have noted the sole is very soft and wears quickly. After only a year (13 months to be precise) there is virtually no tread left and the heal shows significant wear. Surprisingly, despite the soft sole, they don't actually grip well either. Also as others have noted, the design/manufacture of the eyelets causes them to wear out laces very quickly. The pair of laces that came with the shoes were shredded within six months and I am on my third pair overall. Finally, when I contacted LLBean about possibly getting these resoled I was told that there was nothing to be done. Since I have had these for just over a year it seems that my only option would be to claim that there is a significant manufacturing error. There really isn't a manufacturing error, it is how they are designed. I have owned similar style shoes from other manufacturers that were far more comfortable and long lasting. I had purchased these based on appearance and previous positive experiences with LL Bean.

I can only wear them about two hours, then my feet start hurting. The older addition of this Oxford was a better fit for me.

I had a previous model of this shoe and after years of light use, the sole pulled away from the leather upper. I had them re-glued professionally. But because of Federal Regulations, the shoe glue in the U.S. is less effective than the glue from overseas (go figure). So they pulled apart again. Perfectly good, broken-in pair of shoes into the trash. They always did have a kind of BOXY feel when wearing them with thinner, single piece leather sides that weren't exactly sturdy, or warm. The Vibram soles wear like Iron and are almost as heavy.

The shoes that were delivered are not the same color and finish as the shoes pictured online.

Great shoes, should last decades. The leather uppers combined with the vibram soles make these the SUVs of casual footwear. They run a little large, but winter socks should offer a remedy.

On my 3rd set because the sizing isn't the best. Website recommended size 13 based off of other shoe (under armor) fitment. I order 13 - way too big, ordered a 12 - still too big, 11.5 - is much better but may be able to get away with 11 IDK. The shoes are nice but just gotta hope you get the size that fits you. LLB should send me a set of 11s w/o me having to spend another ~140 and I'll obviously send back the rest that don't fit me

I really like the shoes. The laces are shredding though after a very short time. I need to replace the laces with something more robust.
