The upgraded foot and arch support is quite nice. The zipper seems to be better made than previous editions. Similar design. To previous editions which I appreciate and enjoy. Handles the heat a touch better than previous editions as well.

Love the boot. Not totally waterproof though. Toes did get wet when working in wet grass for a few hours.

Foot bed not as comfortable as Moab 2. Love the pull loops. Zippers are good.

Over a year and a half and had the tactical Moab 2 6in. Before that.plus the 2nd or third chameleons before that and the original chameleon before that. All except the 2nd pai of chameleon lasted 1.5 yrs about. I run through shoes working physically demanding jobs outside with no cover usually. Climbing, running lifting. On top of that I mountain bike, hime, run, BMX. Most of those yrs i could only afford one pair of shoes at this price too! I dont know many ppl who actually wear normal shoes out in 6 months or less. So i say all these bad reviews are unfounded and from prissy ppl who think you should be able to SWIM in these shoes and keep you feet dry and or that it only takes an hour of walking once a day for a week to break in quality boots or cant put on tall enough socks?

They were great until they werent. Im in law enforcement and we work 12 hour shifts. This was my first set of Merrells after 7 years of 5.11s. I bought these in October and by July the top eyelet busted off. Before then, I couldnt recommend any other boot, but after mine broke and I see MULTIPLE other reviews of broken eyelets, stay away. Hopefully they will address this issue.

Way too much lining from the zipper, causes pain on my leg. Feel cheap, unlike the moab 2. I don't like the eyelets at all, they look and feel cheap. Even the boot strings are cheap as can be. These are $50.00 boots, not anywhere near what's being charged for them.

I bought a pair of Moab 3 8" side-zip boots about a year ago. I've gone through 3 sets of laces so far because the laces are garbage. They break. I can't replace them with Paracord like I do with most boots because the grommets are too small. Plus, the waterproofing isn't really. I can't keep wearing boots that I can't count on, so I've tossed them and won't be purchasing any more Merrell products.

Wish they were more waterproof. Good feel but one day in the PNW woods they were soaked

Super comfortable boots. Merrell quality has gone way down. 3 months old and the soles are already separating from the boot. $165 for a pair of boots I would expect more out of them. I really love Merrell but their quality over the past few years has gone way down !

Bought the Moab 3's in Nov. '23. I loved my Moab 2's so decided to stick with that line. In less than 6 weeks, the stitching started to give out. My boots get light use in the winter, so this was pretty disappointing.

These were actually purchased for my husband who works in EMS. He has stated that they are comfortable and provide good support for his ankles. Thanks Merrell!

Didnt hold up well and poor quality. Shortly after buying the toe tongue or front whatever its called started peeling off and strings are coming out all over it. Also too hot but thats not the reasoning for the review.

My agency/ employer purchased these boots for my duty wear 8 months ago and I only wear them at work. They are not waterproof the stitching has come apart in several places soles are splitting and eyelits are coming off. I called Merrill and explained I did not have a receipt or the box nor could I obtain one due to my employer purchased them. They instructed me to fill out a warranty anyway to only be denied because I cant produce a receipt. Poor customer service, warranty and quality boot.

These boots are fantastic. They fit well and wear well and have good traction. I will buy again

Bought Sunday. Wore 10 hours Monday. Loved them! Wore 14 hours Tuesday. Got into water spray at work... like a light rain shower. Toes were wet rest of day... miserable. These are not waterproof!!! Very misleading labeling!! If I didn't live 120 miles from the Cabelas I bought them from they would be returned!! I guess they are a great sunny dry weather boot. Those of us that work outside don't have that option. Will never buy this brand again.

First day of lacing them the top plastic loop broke but other then that comfortable.

Bought these to replace Moab 2 with comp toe. The moab 3 were too narrow the wide are a bit to wide but able to be tightened comfortably. They are not waterproof despite being marketed as such. First time I was on duty and stepped into a small puddle both feet immediately got wet. Then when it snowed they got wet again. Disappointed considering Ive worn this brand for hiking and work.

Unmatched comfort. My 2s lasted 3 years on duty. Looking forward to putting the 3s to the test.

This is no MOAB 2, I am severely disappointed, I have only had these boots for enough time where I havent even put on 200 miles, the outsole is coming undone, the laces have already torn and needed replaced, and they are NOT waterproof because of the mesh. I Work as patrol and have to do 22 miles on foot in 7 hours time, which means I do not have time to mend my feet and require actual waterproof boots, I ended up getting frostbite on my toes because of Merrell using their previous track record of the legendary Moab 2, this situation has caught me at a horrible time, as I still have 40 hours of work left, so the question becomes, how bad will the frostbite get? When a company lies and deceives its users? My previous MOAB 2 boots have well over 4,300 miles on them, and the laces are still intact, and the tread has only just now come undone. Even with the legendary track record of my previous Moab 2 boots, the Moab 3 is so disappointing that I am completely done with Merrell and regret having my team select from them.

The boot is awesome but only problem it can not be used on icy condition. I fell 4 times with a block

I have been wearing Merrell shoes since 2000 they are the only brand of shoes I will ever buy. I never had any problems until this pair. I purchased not too long ago when I got them they were very comfortable to wear as always with all of their shoes, unfortunately After three days of wearing them, the soles on both shoes started coming off Im pretty sure I just got a defective pair contacted Customer Support. They issued me a refund with no issues at all. I am still very happy and pleased with the company and will use my refund to buy another pair.

This boot put an end tow 3 years of back pain. I bought these for my husband, he stands all day and builds motorcycles for a living , plus works on our farm. He cant believe the difference it has made in eliminating his lower back pain. They also look great
