I'm 5'2" and around 125 lbs. I ordered a medium. I like tops roomy and this flannel shirt is so perfect. Sleeves are long, as it is not a petite, which is fine with me. It's a thick flannel and I wear it over another top. I purchased the pink and aqua shirt. Pockets are large on the outside AND INSIDE but not noticeable. My iPhone, an extra hat or dog leash, even the iPad fit easily in pockets. The pink, aqua and yellow pastels are stunning. Easy to button. The flannel is substantial. Next, I'd love this flannel shirt with a hood. Of course, I'm n San Diego, but as a Minnesota transplant, this shirt would be suitable there, as well. Here we walk along Mission Bay with our dogs and this shirt works for San Diego winters. My favorite top to grab as I go out the door.

This shirt is a nice change from wearing a sweater. Comfortable weight with great colors and pattern.

When I first bought it, on sale of course, I was skeptical. The weave is loose, and I was afraid it might pull easily. I've washed it a number of times and it is super soft and so comfortable. I've since purchased two more. I wear it like a light jacket when it's warm outside and as a regular shirt when it's cold. And it has usable pockets! And I get compliments on the shirt every time I wear it, which is a nice bonus. One small thing is that I am 5.2, 130 lbs., and the first two I purchased were medium regular, and they were perfect. I tried a medium petite because I really liked the color, and I definitely preferred the medium regular even though I am short.

I am wearing this shirt right now. It is very comfortable and warm. I was surprised when it came that it was woven. I didn't read the description very well (though it was a regular flannel). But I am happy I am trying something new.

Heavier than I thought but great in cold weather (if MN gets anymore this year). Very comfortable. Good fit, nice color. Works well for layering.

The shirt is very comfortable. It is soft and warm. It is thicker than a flannel shirt. But not too thick to wear over a shirt. The color is neutral so it goes well with most pant colors.

Love this flannel, it's so nice and thick and best of all it has side pockets!

Bought this at LLBean in Maine. Found the sapphire blue at the outlet across from the main store. What a find! Great weight (not too heavy, not too light. Amazing material, and the pockets are perfect. I can wear it buttoned or unbuttoned with a layer underneath. Love this shift!

Best item I have bought from LLB in a very long time. Great length, lots of stretch, and the pink is a nice soft color that will pair with a lot of things. Its very true to size. I have bigger upper arms, sometimes a medium is ok, but the large usually fits well. This has lots of room for me to layer a light long sleeve tee under it and its not tight.

Purchased this in the light rose color and wore it right out of the package! I love it. Soft, warm and a wonderful layering piece during these cold Maine winters. I also love the long length. I wish the LL Bean women's plaid flannel zip hoodies were available in this length, too.

This shirt is so warm and great for layering and perfect for the colder weather.

It is a heavier than I thought. Still it warm enough that I can wear it to walk the dog in the afternoon Fits well and compliments all of my cowl neck tees. It will be use a deal of use in the shoulder seasons here in New Mex5

Heavy weight shirt is thick enough to be warm but not heavy, pretty plaid.

I love the feel and fit of the fabric. I have gotten many compliments from coworkers and strangers alike. Definitely recommend!

I love this shirt! It's very comfortable, a perfect weight and a great fit. I read some of the one star reviews and was really shocked. This shirt is just as described. It's an over shirt. The inside is warm and not scratchy, actually quite soft. The back of the pockets and the back yoke are lined with chambray which adds a nice durability-not fresh fleece soft, but certainly not scratchy. The buttons are not hard to unbutton and the button holes are not too small, but well stitched and reinforced for what I can only guess is to match the longevity for which the rest of this shirt is designed. It is not a regular flannel shirt nor does it purport to be. It's both softer and heavier than an average flannel shirt. A real over shirt. I think you could wear this in many different situations where you want to feel warm and comfortable. Any suggestion of this being a digression from the quality of L.L.Bean is truly mistaken. I am a real fan and I am here to advocate for this shirt in its current form. The only change I would ask for is more plaid colors available in all sizes because I want more of them!

I can't recommend this shirt highly enough. It's warm without being too hot and weighty without being too heavy. It's great for work and for relaxing. Very soft and comfortable and just the right fit. Also, the color looks just like the pictures on the website which is rare. I got the washed orchid color and it's really lovely and matches almost everything.

It was too big and not a good color for me. I sent it back.

I like the weight and feel of the material. Feels like shirts from days gone by. I also like the fit, Not too tight around the middle and not too baggy. I love side pockets.

This shirt is amazingly warm; the only problem it is a LITTLE small across the chest. Ordered a large, usual size. HOWEVER, I rinsed in cold water then hung it up to dry, stretching just a little. That seemed to solve the problem and can now comfortably wear with a turtleneck under it. I think the more I wear it the softer and more relaxed it will be. It keeps me warm with the turtleneck at 50 degrees.

The color is lovely but the style is not for me and I returned the item.

Great for all sorts of days! I got this for my wife and now she practically lives in it.
