Stunning. I wear it several times a week. A little bit dressy for when I want to appear "put together".

I bought this shirt to wear as a second layer or jacket. I wear a lot of navy and turquoise so this plaid is perfect. Has both inner and outer pockets. A bit bulky feel but should soften after washing. Slightly larger than size.

This is a well made flannel shirt that fits perfectly. I like the pattern of the plaid and the colors.

It is soft, comfortable, and nice looking. Most of all, it has SIX pockets! I returned the Medium for the Large and it is a perfect fit.

They don't mention that this has external and internal pockets! There's no need to carry a bag with this; you can have your phone and any other essentials with you in all those pockets! It's a perfect overshirt for everyday wear. I hope they will come out with more non-plaid options because this is all I want to wear now.

I ordered myself one of these shirts and liked it so much that I ordered another one and had it sent to my 95 year old mom, Four hours away. The shirt is made well. One of my favorite from L.L. Bean

This is my second 1912 overshirt. It is heavier than a normal shirt, and is great as an extra layer that behaves more like a jacket than a shirt. Perfect for "in between" weather (Fall and Spring in particular). I love the pockets and it's loose fit. I found the buttons to be sewn rather tight, which makes it difficult to open and close them. I will always wear a tee or other shirt under it, so I keep it unbuttoned. Another warning is that the fabric is woven and can get "pulls" in the fabric (catches on jewelry or sharp objects). Other than that, it is of good quality and is very useful.

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the weather is unpredictable, the weight is just right.

I ordered this shirt in the blue and white check and it is so comfortable. Looks great with a white tee.

Love the fabric- soft, and the plaids match! The side seam pockets are big and useful. I love this shirt, alone or with a tee underneath. Llbean quality is superb. I sized down from S to XS for a closer fit.

I love this shirt. I am 5'8 around 140 lbs I ordered XL petite because I do not like long shirts. I knew it would be too large originally so I washed and dried it on hot to shrink it. It fits me perfectly, loose enough to wear a T shirt underneath without looking sloppy and the length is perfect and arms are plenty long. I can wear this year round . Price is fantastic and the shirt is superb. I highly recommend it.

I live in the mountains where the temperature tends to drop quickly in the evening. I love this shirt as a layering piece - easy to wear, beautifully soft and versatile. Fabric is a great dense weave - pretty identical to those "blanket shirts" that cost twice as much. Would love to see this in a few more color-ways.

Love this shirt jacket! I wanted something that I could throw on at the cabin on chilly mornings or evenings and I found the perfect thing! Love the material and the texture as well as the weight of this. Also love that it has side pockets. This is a piece of clothing that will only get better with wear. Also very roomy.

Seems the one star reviews are from people who want this shirt jacket to be something it is not. But what this item actually is, is a perfect second or third layer for hiking in mildly variable weather, front pockets deep enough to carry a skinny one-liter bottle of water, and interior pockets large enough to carry a small animal! Stop wishing it would be fitted or flattering it is utilitarian, comfortable and very pretty in the range of colors Bean is offering. I got the Washed Orchid in medium; I am 5'4", range between 138-147 lbs throughout the year, and usually wear small tall size, especially in layering turtlenecks. Got this larger, and it's somewhat oversized too, so I can wear sweaters underneath on colder days. Works both in SoCal winters and Upstate NY spring/summer/fall. Great addition. Would buy for pockets alone. Looking to add another color this year. Thank you, Bean!!!
