This shirt is soft and comfortable and is a great layer for warmth. Many people have commented that it looks comfortable. I love the colors. I have two, a pink and a blue- they wash wonderfully and don't shrink.

I adore this shirt. The pockets are amazing and I'm in love with the color and material. It's definitely a bit of a boxy fit but it works well for me because i can wear others layers and put things in my pockets. I love it so much I'm buying more in different colors!

I have bought several of these shirts in the past and found the sleeves were always too short. This one fits true to size and I love the added side pockets!

I've been noticing corduroy overshirts in style lately and wanted to try one for myself. I would love to see this shirt in an olive green color, but I got the Saddle color and it's really nice! Love the pockets. Nice roomy fit. I could have probably gone down to an XS but the Small fits well enough.

These corduroy shirts have been part of my everyday Pacific Northwest "uniform" for so many years now and I was upset when LL Bean discontinued them!
As soon they were back I bought two colors and I am back for two more now. I have a bevy of colors in the old style shirts....I think I cannot get dressed without these shirts! I have added elbow patches to the oldest shirts (about 23 years) to extend their wearing life!
Anyway, I DO prefer the old style shirts with one pocket and no side pockets, but the material is still same so I am getting used to the new style. I may remove the side pockets and sew side seam back up but they may soften very well too so I am waiting to decide.
I am just relieved that the shirts are back! I wish they had not "improved" the design but the fabric is still cushy, soft and perfect. Now I just hope that LL Bean will not ever think of discontinuing them again!
More neutral colors please...and maybe a saffron?!

Ordered the Petite. Fit very well throughout -chest, shoulders, sleeve length all great. Hem falls at top of thigh. Beautiful blue color. I wear it with long sleeved turtle necks. Roomy without looking oversized. Love it!

The shirt is a great weight for Spring and Fall and the blue color is gorgeous. I like that they have added pockets to the side seams to keep your keys or phone in (or to keep your hands warm.)

I thought you didn't have these shirts any longer and then they appeared on my Email. I was thrilled! I have several from years ago that are still in great shape. I even had a flight attendant ask me where I got it. Now I have two more to add to my wardrobe. True to size and great for an over shirt when you need a little more warmth.

I've worn many Bean corduroy shirts over the years, and this style with four pockets is the best one yet in my humble opinion. Bought one last fall in the dark navy and wore it all winter. Read a few reviews and saw that others weren't as fond of the pockets as i am, so i ordered two more just in case they discontinue the style. I live in the Pacific Northwest where evenings and nights are cool year round, so i can use this shirt most all of the year as a second layer/substitute jacket. Finally, a shirt with enough pockets to hold a plus size cell phone, 3 dog leashes, tissues, keys, poop bags, sunglasses, a mask, and much more!!! Functional clothing that looks nice.

This is the best shirt ever! I have 5 of them, bought over the last 20 years. I use them for light weight jackets all year round. I especially like the new ones with the side pockets. I will continue to buy them if more colors come along that I like. Also, they wash and wear extremely well.

This wide wale corduroy is my go to when the weather is at that in between stage of rolling out of winter into spring. Besides the great color, Admiral blue, which is more blue than green as depicted on screen, it has side pockets! All women know how we are short changed by the fashion industry when it comes to pockets. We all know that breast pockets are useless for storage if you actually have breasts. The side seam pockets are deep enough to easily carry a set of keys without fear of them falling out. Yay! I love this shirt!

I like corduroy shirts as light weight jackets. That is why I bought a large. That way I can layer. I actually have already reordered and gotten 3 additional colors. As always from LL Bean, a great quality item.

The best shirt/jacket in the world is back due to popular demand! And now it even sports side pockets. The perfect casual corduroy shirt to layer over turtlenecks or tees from fall to spring. I have one in 6-8 different colors and receive complements every time I wear one.

In reading other reviews, I notice this year's comfort shirt is compared unfavorably to the older style. This is NOT the older style, but incorporates all the positive attributes of that shirt, soft material, comfortable fit, pretty colors. It is a more trim, up to date fit than the older comfort shirts, which had the 1980's loose fit. I have both fits and love both equally.

I've had numerous LLBean corduroy shirts in lots of colors over the years and I loved them. BUT, they never had pockets! The new design of the classic corduroy big shirt has two!!
The fit is a bit shorter in length which is also a plus. The color of "saddle" is exactly as pictured. It will be a favorite in my closet for years to come.

I love my corduroy shirt. I have 2 others from years ago. This one is a bit different with side pockets and side slits. I love it and the weight is good. I would say the fit is true to size although I tend to like my clothes a bit lose.

This relaxed fit shirt is a winner. The carbon navy color looks great with denim, khaki, green, you name it.
The side pockets are nice, but it would have been better to match the corduroy color and attach the pocket so it doesn't flap when the shirt is open. I tacked it in place myself. Perhaps other colors have pockets that match better.

I ordered this shirt in medium which allows me to layer two Carhartt shirts underneath. It's roomy and the length is good as I am not into tunic styles. The pockets in the front are useful. Just ordered another one in saddle.

I just received my shirt in Saddle and it is perfect. The corduroy is very soft, the fabric is neither too thin or too thick. It fits perfectly, not too baggy or too loose. The sleeves are great length and there is ample room in sleeves and shoulders to be worn alone or over a t-shirt or turtle neck. I except the fabric will only soften more with every wash. I almost didn't get the shirt because some complained about the pockets. I don't see the issue with the shirt I was sent. The pockets are not oversized so they don't hang below the hemline and they don't flop out when the shirt is left open. Even when I filled them with some heavier items, I did not have any issue with the pockets. Maybe they have fixed the pockets, but don't let it deter you. This will get a lot of use camping this summer and be perfect to wear for a casual dinner out somewhere. Thought I should come back for another color - it's that nice.

I have had corduroy shirts in lavender, orange, and blue. I bought this one in Berry, for the color, and I was pleased and surprised. The color is beautiful and has enhanced many Zoom meetings! The cut is curvier, shorter, and way more flattering than the straight box of before. I just feel a little spiffier in this one. The pockets have to be ironed after washing to lay flat, but it's worth it.

This is a perfect weight for cool temperatures, it's worn over a tshirt. The side pockets are a great asset and were unexpected. It is soft and comfortable. This was a gift for my wife and she loves it!
