It was a weird fit I had to return! They should have a more well rounded fit.

I am a regular LLBean customer and like most products I have ordered but these sherpa products are not a favorite. They feel hard, stiff and plastic-y. I bought a vest for myself and this coat for my teen daughter. We both felt they were not very nice and sent them back.

Sent it back. Was not worth the price you were asking. Should of had a better lining for that price.

This coat was very warm and comfortable EXCEPT that the zipper never worked and jammed. For the price this should not have happened. L.L. Bean should consider manufacturing their products in the United States once again, rather than outsourcing to a foreign country

I had to return this coat. The quality was well below what I expect and routinely get from LL Bean.

It sheds but is warm! I don't like the shedding but like the rest.

This coat looks like it would be cozy inside, but it's not. The inside seems scratchy and hard. Plus, when I went to cut off the tags, my coats price tag said 149.00. I was not happy since I paid 170 for mine! Tag swapping? Not a fan of LLBean. I will be returning it.

I love LLBean, but this jacket/coat is a loser. Looks cozy in the photos but believe me, it's not. The lining is some kind of hard fabric that should never be used for clothing. It's like wet suit material or something. It's hard to bend my arms, tight. The outer fleece is stiff and doesn't feel fluffy. I think it runs a little on the small side too. I was actually surprised to be so disappointed since I have been buying and enjoying many LL Bean products over the years.

I assumed this would be soft and warm. Upon receipt, I tried it on and the inner part feels stiff and uncomfortable. It's not that soft on the outside. I found it to run too small too. I did see someone wearing it, so some may like it. I would view this in a store and not online. Huge disappointment for me and now I have the hassle of sending it

Please always carry women's tall sizes please !!! Amazing style but can't order one sadly for 2 people in this family that need tall sizes. Thank you

The zipper sucks. Can't zip up my coat at all. Considering this coat is over $100.00, you need to do better LL Bean.

I love this brand and wanted to love this. Normally I wear xxs this was tight in the shoulders, quite narrow and I'm petite, not broad shouldered at all. The fabric is not soft and doesn't give off the vibe I was hoping for. I hope they take the reviews to heart and remake it next season with a faux fur lining and with softer exterior to make it cuter and functional (needs to be warmer think thick liner!)

This is not a pliable,soft fleece jacket.It must be the interior lining that makes it stiff and oddly narrow in the waist area.I ordered a size large and I am not large in the middle or top,just wanted room for layers,yet it didn't hang comfortably ,it had a stiff shape to it and was not comfortable.Returned,also way overpriced.

Sorry to say I will be returning this, It was way too big, ( I ordered the recommended size by "my true fit"). No doubt this would be a warm coat. I would order a size smaller but the lining is very stiff and the Sherpa material on the front of the coat running along side the zipper looks matted and uneven. There really should have been some sort of trim there like there is at the wrists would have been a nice detail. Perhaps the lining would soften over time, but the front of the coat is just not attractive. I Purchased this on line, so I'm not too happy about having to pay return shipping fees so I will be returning this to a retail store.

I purchased this Mountain Pile Fleece thinking it would be fleece lined. Unfortunately, was very disappointed as the linking is more like canvas or some type of fabric that is used to make fire fighter gear. So hard and uncomfortable. Wish LL Bean would make the clothes that are the classics that people love and come back for.

Sleeves were miles too long and not easy to roll up. Fabric inside was stiff and rough.

Every time I put on this coat I feel uncomfortable. I've wanted to like it but the outside "fleece" is rough and not soft at all. The inside is a very restrictive fabric. I barely wore it all winter. Not what I expected at all. Something made me look up the reviews today after wearing it to work and found many reviews that said similar things. I usually love all things LLBean but this coat was a real disappointment. Far from cozy and just uncomfortable.

Returned the coat sadly as the interior layer is too stiff and uncomfortable

It was so ugly. I returned it. The lining was a terrible material. Felt like a rubber wet suit inside. The stitching on the chest was unflattering.

I should have listened to the other reviewer's about the inside liner of this jacket being awful. I returned it immediately as it felt so slippery and cheap. Why would the designers choose this particular material for the inside? Quality control needs to do better

This looks so soft in the pictures but it's not soft at all. The fabric makes me think of upholstery, especially the rugs on the floor of cars. It's extremely stiff and the fleece is coarse and wiry instead of soft. It doesn't move with me, it becomes harder to bend my arms and when I sit down, all the material in front bunches up on my lap. The collar also doesn't lie down softly, it's so stiff it keeps poking me in the face. The good side of that is the hood stays up really well. It does seem to be warm. I bought a size up because I wanted to wear it over any of my clothes at work. (I work in a cold basement.) I haven't brought it to work yet to see if it's tolerable for that. I was really hoping for something soft. I got it a little big, I ordered a RL and I'm 5'3" and 140lbs. I'm pretty happy with the way it fits. I hope this helps you decide if you're on the fence about this product.

I bought this coat because I thought it was cute. I have bought coats from bean in the past size Large which fits fine. But when I rec'd this one, I opened the zipper and put it on arms & shoulders felt tight then tried to wrap around me..no way! 4-6" gap in front. Could not even begin to close zipper! May be a defect or mislabeled but not doing this again. A very nice rep said she could send another one the same size to see if that is a defect but I declined. It is back in the box and ready for UPS!

A very unattractive fitting coat. It did not look good on at all. The darts in the chest are unflattering.

Seeking a white coat to make me visible on dark winter evenings, I tried 2 LLB fleece coats. IMO they failed my needs: 1)too few pockets for winter accessories, 2) sleeves too long for a short woman, without inside cuffs for warmth/length adjustment, 3) an oversized hood w/o visor, 4)about as dumpy and unflattering as anything I've ever tried on. TL;DR not chic or comfy. Back to LLB they both went.

Not soft inside and NO SHERPA OR SOFT FLEECE? Very hard inside so back you go!
