I liked the style of the jacket but the fleece was not very soft.

Not as expected; very odd fit. Long and shapeless...tight across the shoulders with uncomfortable lining. Ordered two sizes and ended up returning both.

Runs large and long. The inside was already pilling when it arrived. I'm 5'6" and typically a M and this was quite roomy.

Way too small and fleece looked crushed. Not up to LL Bean's usually very high standards.

Runs really small and you have to pay to return it. I even ordered up in size and it runs way too small in the back and arms.

Quality is weak. Not lined. Disappointed. Coat is thin.

For the price, this coat fit weird, it was cheaply made. Looked like it was nice.

Weird fit through the shoulders and sleeves are too short. My proportions are average and I don't normally have trouble with the way coats fit but this one went back.

It is very cute on the outside, but the lining is a hot mess, or rather, there is no lining. The inside of this jacket is a cheap polyester fabric that is itchy, and all of the intricate stitching of the pieces of the jacket together was accomplished by a zigzag satin stitch done on the outside of the coat with the " bobbin " side directly through to the inside, and that stitching is itchy, too. I know the description of this jacket says it is meant for light layering, so what that means in practice is that you can feel all the interior stitching when all you are wearing is a pair of leggings and a turtleneck. Also, I own a lot of LL Bean clothes, and as a 5"3" 120 lb gal, I usually get a medium for a large roomy fit. This jacket also runs small through the hips, so I would have needed a large to achieve the same fit. The manufacturer needed to add an actual soft lining ( flannel? ) to protect the wearer from the weird fabric/stitching & size it the same as most LLBean apparel.

Other reviews mentioned how warm this coat is. I wore it outside today, 52 degrees with light breeze. For me, this coat is not warm. I was chilled and I was wearing three light layers. Admittedly, I do have a hard time staying warm. I normally wear a medium but ordered a large in anticipation of wearing a layer underneath. In the chest area, the coat was large enough to allow a medium weight layer although the sleeves were tight and would not allow an extra, medium weight layer. The lower section of the coat was tight. I am over 60 and I am not shaped like a stick. The cut of this coat is better suited to a thinner, trimmer person - not a person with curves of any kind. I will be returning it. I have found that the Hi-Pile Fleece product is much warmer than this product but it does not come in a coat style.

The inner lining is rough to the touch and the coat is stiff. Not the quality I have come to expect from LL Bean

This fleece looks beautiful. I ordered it immediately and I was so disappointed. It looks so cozy but the material inside of it it's not cozy at all. It's some kind of rubbery nylon covered material. Very disappointing. I would have bought a bunch of them.

This was cut narrower than an xtra large. Need to order a 2x to support upper width of body size. Beautiful coat though. Giving as present.

Great lines but needed a tall size, sleeves too short. Bit scratchy on inside.

I was so excited for this coat; I wanted it last year but wasn't sure an XL would fit me as I am a size 18. When I saw it in a 1x this year I bought it right away. It was too small all over, so I exchanged for a 2x. The 2x was still snug in the hips but bagged out everywhere else. I think this was cut too straight for me, and didn't have enough hip room. Unfortunately I am going to return it.

Arm length is way too short. Ordered larger size for arm length - arm length way too short and body way too big and too tight in shoulders. Generally uncomfortable.

It said the fur was on the inside but it was not. Polyester inside. Would not keep me warm without the fur. Looks warm but it is not. I did purchase a little jacket with fur in black and green from you that I love. The fur is on the inside.

I Purchased this based on another review of someone that was taller and also weighed more than I and purchased the extra large and said it fit fine. Mine was very small also was very tight in the arms and I couldn't zip it up. Now I'll have to return it.

There is something goofy w sizing .. medium was too bulky did not look anything like on model.. more like a snowman... a small would of been too tight in arms... too expensive for the fit, returned

1. I ordered a size up after reading some reviews. I was wrong, should have just got a large. I was adjusting for COVID weight gain (haha) 2. It was stiff. I didn't like the feel of it. 3. It felt too boxey. Oh well. I returned it. Might be ok for someone else but not for me.

I really wanted to love this. I had my eye on it for awhile before finally ordering. If this had come in Petite sizing I probably would have kept it. But, as it is, the medium was tight across the shoulders and in the upper arms, and arm length was also about 4" too long, dangling well past my hands. The body itself was too big through the waist and wide across the bottom. It was a good 3-4" too long on me. I looked like I was being swallowed by it. Unfortunately, going down a size wouldn't have worked because of the aforementioned arm/shoulder tightness. C'est la vie.

The coats fleece is nice and thick and it's really cute in the photo. However, it's lined with another material that makes it extremely tight in the shoulders. When I put it on, the fit isn't quite right. The bottom part around the thighs doesn't lay right. Sadly, I returned it.

I bought this coat and relied on the reviews here. I usually wear an Extra Large, but this coat was too small around my middle. I could not zip it up. And the sleeves were too long. The material was not quite as soft as I was hoping. Not worth the money. i sent it back the same day it arrived.

Wanted to love this. It's more fitted than expected and the hood extends so far forward that you can't see with it up. Returned it.

I wanted to love this but the shoulders are too tight and the sleeves are too short (common problem for me with all ALL LL Bean women's regular sized clothing. I'm really not that tall at 5'8". Bummer because I otherwise really liked the jacket--would be perfect for fall and spring in Colorado
