I'm 5' 3,5" and ordered regular size L (since pettite was out of stock) and it's great, sleeves are just a tad bit longer, not noticeable at all. The lining is weird like the reviewers said, it is not soft and comfy, kinda stiff and there is no 'give'. I hope it will get softer over time or after wash. I live in Virginia and although it is not that cold it can be esp. in the evening or morningI wear short sleeves or light sweater inside and I needed something to quickly put on when I go out to grab something or walk around the neighborhood with the dogalso longer so it keeps my heiny warm. This jacket is perfect, only it is a bit overpriced. I love the color, navy is beautiful, the cut and design is great, it looks so flattering on me! (chest 36dd, hips 42"). I especially like these deep pockets with zip closure, and the hood is great - well made. It is exactly what I needed, and has that feminine cut so I like it.

The neoprene lining makes this super warm! Unfortunately it's not very stretchy- I have broad shoulders and found the back so tight I needed to size up, which makes it less flattering. Otherwise, I'd give it five stars!

I saw this on an IG ad right when I needed a new between seasons coat. I'm very happy with this one. It's so soft outside and the material inside is nice. The pockets are really roomy and zip closed. Plus I like the position of the opening- nothing can fall out if you leave the zipper open. Sleeves are usually a problem for me, but these are perfectly long enough without increasing the overall size of the coat. It still fits snug to my frame which I like. My only issue is the shoulders feel a little tight. I was concerned if I have a heavier sweater under it that it will be too tight. So far I haven't had a situation where I would wear the coat with a sweater or sweatshirt, so I can't comment on whether or not it is roomy enough. I'm thinking if I need a heavy sweater it's probably too cold for this jacket. But, the coat is definitely good at keeping me warm and I've had windy days and it didn't let any wind through. So overall it is a win. 1 less star because it does feel too tight across the back of the shoulders, but for now I'm still keeping it. I went navy with orange inside and have gotten a lot of compliments on it at work.

I went the white this time because I also have it in blue. It's pretty warm and I use it as my primary winter coat. The only reason I took a star off is because I have broad shoulders and it doesn't have much give there. It doesn't change the way the coat looks on my, but I can tell when I make certain movements.

Great all around fit, but I thought the arms were a bit snug at the bicep area. I thought that for a Large size that the bicep fit didn't really mesh well with the other areas of fit. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. Would give it 5 stars if it wasn't tight in the arms.

Very flattering jacket. Over all it has a nice cut, good details and is surprisingly warm. This is one of the first purchases I've made from L.L. Bean and I'm not sure if I feel this item has the cost to quality ratio. I feel the price is a little too high for quality a little too mediocre.

I like the coat; except I think I ordered the wrong size. I didn't particularly like having the L.L. bean logo on the front of my coat. If you had to put the logo on the coat, put it on the arm sleeve where it's not so noticeable. I may try to re-order the coat at a later time in the upcoming year. I also thought the material on the outside would also be on the inside of coat and it wasn't. I was slightly disappointed about that being the case. I didn't really have the coat for very long, but this is my input at this time.

I saw someone wearing this at a football game. Great looking coat, warm but a little big. Hoping that after a wash and dry it will fit a little more snug. I usually wear a medium top and size 6 pant. Was afraid a small would be too snug under the arms.

This jacket fit my daughter beautifully and she said it was very warm unless the wind was strong. We ended up returning it because she struggled with the double zipper. Other than that, she loved the jacket and thought it was the perfect pre-down-coat-weather solution.

Main body is correct fit. Sleeves are too tight. Otherwise a great coat.

Warm Jacket, scratchy cuffs. The jacket isnt soft, so if you're holing for aoft fleece, it isnt that. But very warm.

Great jacket, extremely warm. A little tight in the arms I didn't expect it to be as "thick" as it was. Overall a fantastic jacket! I get tons of complements on it.

This is a beautifully made coat that keeps me very warm. I hadn't intended for it be used for the coldest days of Winter but I think it will do the job. There are two reasons I didn't give it five stars. First, as a fleece, I didn't expect it to have so much structure. It's a bit stiff relative to your typical fleece jacket. Also, the size and cleaning detail are ironed on the lining. I would almost prefer a tag I could rip off than this. But that's my personal preference.

Nice coat, but wish companies would use a nylon sleeve lining for easy on and off! Sweaters etc stick to them making it hard to get on and off!

I love this coat. It wasn't as fit against the body as some of the pictures I saw in the reviews, but I think it still fits very well. It's soft and the zipper area doesn't scratch my skin. I've worn it non stop and would recommend purchasing it if you are on the fence. I originally purchased a medium and it was too large. I was surprised because I usually wear a medium in coats.

I should've ordered the 2 x instead of the 1x. And tall if that was an option. So it would have longer sleeves. I'm a 6ft tall woman. The 1x is just a little tight in the shoulders for me.

The coat is nice. The lining is a bit stiff but I can work with it. I expected the outside to be much softer but that's okay too. I measure 36 38 46 respectively. In the size chart it says that the large regular fits 45 bust. My coat is snug. I won't be able to wear a thick sweater under it. Let's hope I don't gain any weight. I would exchange it but I hate the process.

It was beautiful, but way too bulky for my need If you're going to Alaska. You'll love it. But it is orange trim. Not pink like it looked on ad

This is the coat I've been wanting - great for cooler temps & covers the bum. Size small fits my curvy 5'3" 135 lb body, but when I raise my arms it's a little snug. Further, I tried it on with leggings and a yoga top, and want to make sure there's enough room when I wear thicker clothing. Beautiful, well-constructed jacket. Planning to exchange for a medium (if in stock).

It's a good jacket for Fall. I'm 5'3 and ordered XXS, and it fits nicely.

It's pretty and cozy, runs a bit large. I'm 5'2", 120 lb., ordered the regular small, was quite roomy, so I returned it. Petite size backordered until spring so don't know if it would have fit or not, I assume so. I do wish the inside lining was less "stiff" but overall it's a nice coat. I'll try again next winter!
