I wear this jacket every day and get so many compliments on it! I coach outdoor sports in the winter and it keeps me really warm and blocks the wind all day. The hood is fitted great so you don't feel like you're swimming in it. I highly recommend to everyone!

Was a bit unsure of the size because I am very large busted but short. This fit just according to the chart. So comfortable, light weight but very warm. Love the deep pockets so don't always have to carry purse. Zipper is very sturdy too. What I have always appreciated about LLBean products: quality that lasts!

I love the look of this coat, and it is warm and cozy, but not overly heavy. I is a little big on, but that way I don't feel stuffed in when I wear a bulky sweater or hoodie.

I absolutely love this jacket. It is crazy warm, fits true to size, and has nice deep pockets. So glad I made this purchase. Great as an underlayer or as a jacket on its own.

I love this coat. It is lightweight but warm. The medium fit me perfect. The sleeves are long enough and it is very good quality.

I love this coat. I have the navy/orange color combo and get lots of compliments on it. It's also plenty warm enough for all but the most frigid weather. Perfect for in and out of the car. I'm considering the white one (except I'm a slob!).

I love this coat and have been looking for something like this for a while! I love the gray color and the length as I wear this with leggings much of the time! I think the thickness is just right....very cozy...but not too thick! I love that it has a hood and has some shape! I ordered an XL as I wanted it to be loose - I think this coat is very true to size! All in all, this is a coat I will be wearing a lot!

The ultimate in coziness. Slides on easily due to smooth interior, which also is a very warm, wind-resistant layer. Easy, unrestricted fit and practical length. Relaxed, comfy and casual.

Wow this coat is great! I never thought I'd find a longer fleece coat like this and am so happy that LLBean has proved me wrong! I live in the PNW so having a good coat arsenal is crucial. This jacket is perfect for those colder days that aren't too cold but not cold enough to warrant bringing out the big guns aka full blown, big puffy winter coat. It's also super cute so would be great to throw on with jeans or whatever for a day out where you may need a warm outer layer but don't want to be burdened by something bulky. For reference, I am tall and curvy; a consistent size L on top and 12/14 on the bottom. This coat fit very true to size although I could have sized up if I wanted to wear thick layers underneath. However, I would like to point out that fleece can be somewhat bulky and not necessarily slimming, so if I were to layer with this jacket I would personally most likely put on a vest over it rather that more things under it. That being said, the shape and fit of this fleece is super flattering. I've had this coat for about a week now and it is very warm and comfortable but it is not wind proof. I was only wearing a T-shirt underneath so it would be better with a long sleeve but still noteworthy. The lining is awesome in this jacket, I must say. I purchased the navy blue color which has a burnt orange lining. I don't usually wear orange but having it as an accent is super fun. Another plus is the two way zipper!! As a curvy woman this is absolutely essential for me when purchasing outerwear. I have cleared my closet of anything without one because I just don't wear them. I love being able to adjust the zipper at the bottom to make sitting down possible with the jacket still closed up for the most part. Absolutely 100% necessary in my book. Another solid win from LLBean, I highly recommend this coat!

I was on the fence when ordering this and even when it first arrived but once I started wearing it, I was completely sold! It has the best pockets and I was SO excited about it. It can hold my phone, my keys, my wallet so many things! It fits a little larger than I expected, but I can layer underneath and not feel like a total marshmallow when trying to zip-up. I love the gray color. My only wishlist would be a side pocket up near the chest for a phone and comfier cuffs at the sleeves.I wore it on a mild hike over the weekend and it was great!

I bought the navy with the orange trim and really like the color combo. I also have the ultra warm long down coat I bought 2 years ago. That coat is perfect for really cold days. And I had a light fleece jacket. One was too warm and the other not warm enough for 40-50 degree days here in Southern Indiana/Louisville. I call this one an in between-er;it's not too heavy/warm and not too light. I've worn it so far in 40-55 degree weather and it's been perfect. I take a brisk 45-minute walk on my lunch break at work and at about 3/4 of the way done, I have to unzip it because I get too warm. It keeps the wind out, the hood works great (can tighten it up), the pockets are deep and have dippers on them. The size guide said I should order a medium based on bust measurement, but when reading the size guide, my bust was borderline medium/large so I went a size up to a large thinking that I wanted to be able to wear a sweater under it if I wanted to. And I now feel that I should've went with the medium. I like the roominess in the torso, but the arms are about 1.5 inches too long (where it touches the base of my thumb). The coat actually stops right above my knee. So, my recommendation to anyone considering this is to definitely go with what the size chart says and don't be afraid it will be too tight. Overall, I really like it and if I can afford it, would like to get the light color one in the future--and of course, in a medium.

This fleece coat is just right when it's not cold enough for a down coat, but too chilly for a trench coat. It's a generous length and I appreciate the zipper pockets, I bought it in charcoal grey, which looks smashing with a red scarf and red gloves. Beware; this is not a wind-stopping coat, so wear a wool sweater under it. On suggestion for improvement: Raglan sleeves for even more ease of movement.

expected the material to be softer and expected the coat to be larger around the bust and waist the overall expectations were met

I like this jacket. It's not as warm as I had hoped. I also feel it runs small. I can't wear it with anything heavy under it

I'm normally a 1x but According to the plus size guide I ordered a size 3x but it is way to big, not sure what to do about it now. I've had it for about 3wks. Can I exchange for a 1x?

Does the job not cuddly or soft but kept the wind off and kept me warm. Feels like neoprene inside nice deep pockets. Zipper is easy and well made. I got it to work on my farm definitely fits this.

I could hardly wait to own this garment, both because of its color and because it looked so toasty warm. Its fit turned out to be snug, but once I lost 25 pounds it fit much better. The generous length and large pockets were wonderful. It works best for weather that is cool and not icy cold, though. The sleeves do not have room to accommdate a thick sweater, and any strong wind blows right through them. Thus, I would not rely this garment for warmth in deep winter. In fall and spring, however, it would work well. I continue to love it, mindful of its limitations.

I thought the inside was lined with fleece, but it's only on the outside. With that being said, it's great quality and keeps me warm. I use this as a base layer. It fits slightly large, I'm happy that I sized down.

Fit is a little snugger, it's good, but if you're already on the fence, size up. Otherwise, great purchase, great jacket, wife loved it!

But I found the arms less roomy than expected. I would buy this again - very handy & useful. I bought this in the beautiful emerald pine green, size 2x. *Length* 5'6, long torso, perfect coverage *Pockets* are great - I carry mittens, phone, and dog bags, pockets have room and are sturdy, no worries about items falling out. *Fleece* not a soft indoor fleece but a hefty fleece with an inner seemingly wind resistant layer - works for light-moderate rain, not for standing at the bus stop in a solid rain. Perfect for Seattleish light moderate windy persistant rain. Arms For comparison: llbean flannel shirt is just right in 2x, torrid 1x is just right for arm room, duluth has too tight arms, tight shoulders, and way too big a body in 2x. This Bean coat fits appropriately in 2x but I'm doing my layering in vests not sweaters. I used to swim and rock climb, so is that the arm problem? I dunno.
