This jacket has a great temperature range, I wear it from 30's down into the single digits. The fit is true to LL Bean's "slightly fitted" which for me usually means a little tight in the chest/armpits until things break in. The style is perfect for living in a mountain town, which is to say it could blend it at a place downtown where fancy ski resort people go, or at a place where locals go. On extremely windy days a little draft does come in from the waist; and I'm not sure why the waist is not elastic but the cuffs are (I would have used less elastic in the cuffs.) My biggest critique is the snaps could be better quality, they come unsnapped easily; if there was a zipper too it would be no big deal, but with winter gloves on (or even without) you are never quite sure if you got the snap to fully engage.

I really love this jacket. I feel the buttons could have been a bit more heavy duty. Maybe a zipper would have helped. But it's comfy, warm. Looks great. I would recommend.

Really nice jacket, like the rugged fabric and how warm it is. Read review complaints about snaps, I think they're just fine, and they stay pretty secure, glad I bought this jacket.

Perfect jacket with a classy and beautiful design. Soft and high quality material with good insulation. The tall version is a perfect fit for me (6 3" 208lbs). I looked everywhere and couldn't find a decent design that fits my frame. Will definitely buy LL bean in the future.

Great jacket... fits a little snug for a large, but overall really nice. Maybe could use more than 1 inside pocket but not a big deal.

I'm 6'2" about 230 and ordered the L but returned it for an XL. I'm happy with the color and style. The brown collar against navy just works and the quilted shell adds detail and texture. The Sherpa lining is warm but catches on what you're wearing especially flannel. I'd prefer a "slippery" insulated interior. That's my sole gripe.

Fit perfectly and good warmth. Given as a gift and the gentleman wears it almost every day.

I wear my shirt jacket directly over lightweight shirt or t shirt. I wear XL and this is a perfect shirt for walking and hiking..

Warm jacket for 30s or 40s. Colder Temps with warmer layers. I see no problems with the snaps as some have reported. I would HIGHLY recommend ordering a size up if you plan on wearing a thicker layer under. It would be a little tight if you wear a sweater or LL Bean flannels under.
