Love this pullover for any situation and it will keep you warm for most stuff around town or just an evening out. I have worn it camping, but I use it more for a base layer and then layer. It's a worth while purchase that you won't be disappointed in.

This is a super product. It is the perfect weight for spring and fall. The pullover can be worn in the winter with a fleece under or a vest. Living in NH, we get cold with bitter, brutal wind. I was wearing the pullover a few days ago on a cold, windy day. My face was freezing, but my body was warm with the pullover and only a long sleeve t shirt. The length, sleeve length, hood and drawcords are perfect for me. The kangaroo pocket is big with a bit of a safety hold in the bottom so things don't fall out. The zipper is nice and long making it very easy to adjust for temperature. I am a female-160lbs-5'6' tall. I bought the men's medium because I liked the colors better.

I couldn't be happier with this pullover. It is warm enough for late winter, early spring wear. I live in North Central IL. We get temperatures ranging from the 20's to the 50's during this time. The one thing you can count on is the weather being inconsistent. I haven't had it on during wet weather. It has kept me warm with only a light longs-leave shirt or just a t-shirt on beneath. The color is great and the fit is perfect. It isn't "athletic" or "skinny" cut. I am a bigger guy 6' 4" and 240#. The XL-Tall fits me perfectly.

I was looking for a lightweight jacket that would also be warm for those cool days were the heavy winter coat would just be too much. This pullover was exactly what I was looking for. Light enough to not be restrictive and insulated just enough to retain the heat. Perfect!

I bought in the forest green like color and want this one. I think this pays homage to the Patagonia Nanopuff bivy. And very well done. For casual in between seasonal use this is an awesome product. My primary use has been as a midlayer for xcountry skiing or snowshoeing. This competes very well with the Patagonia at 1/3rd the price on sale. It is a lighter version of the Patagonia with less Primaloft, but that is NOT a criticism. This is a bit different than the Patagonia, And is frankly better looking in the bar and a better throw on wear anywhere Anorak style. Both are awesome products, and if both were in a Venn diagram I'd have the overlap at 85 to 90 %. When you compare price and quality And use, I'd go with this. If you are a hard core below zero snow shoeing cross country skiing fanatic with deep pockets, go with a Patagonia Bivy. But, if you are that person lighter in the pockets, and outdoor fanaticism, go with this. I am a bit of both and have both and find myself grabbing this over the Patagonia for anything except a hard core extemely cold run. And definitely for the store or bar. Awesome product.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Overall this is a great jacket for hiking, running and general use. In my opinion there’s one slight drawback, the fit in the chest area is a little tighter than expected but it doesn’t present any issues with mobility The jacket does great in Colorado winter temps around 25-40 degrees and snow with a good base layer under it. I have received compliments on the style as well.

Nice pullover. Could use some adjustments such as a drawstring around the hood and maybe a chest pocket. I wish it was packable within itself but I'll make due with a stuff sack. The fit is nice and it does a nice job of blocking the wind and shedding light moisture.

It's a nice mid-season pull over, but it's a little "fitter" than other brands I'm used to. If you want room, particularly through the shoulders, move a size up. Zippers would also be good for phones, etc, but that's just a preference

I was looking for an apres' sail jacket that I could stow easily and keep dry and handy if I got wet and cold. Although I got this pull over for that specific purpose, I find myself wearing it around town in spring summer in the SF bay area where temps drop in the evening. The insulation is light enough that it's comfortable on 70 deg days but warm enough that it keeps me toasty in 50 deg temps. The hood helps too. My only grips is that it's a little difficult to put on and off as the material has no stretch. It has one zippered pocket inside the kangaroo pouch which is helpful for valuables but there's no stow pocket.

Prom aloft is the gold standard in synthetic insulation. I would have gave it 5 stars but it is kinda of short length wise but overall a great piece. Warm and packable.

This pullover is awesome. Easily packable and keeps you fairly warm in colder temperatures. Also sheds water and snow which is awesome.

Overall this is a nice jacket. I am trying to figure out why a pull-over with a half zip is better than a full-zip. It is definitely annoying to pull this over your torso. I like the weight and warmth. It is a great layer to wear under a waterproof shell. I bought the Tall size to get longer arms and a little extra coverage beyond my waist - reduce drafts while snowboarding. The colors are true to the photos.

This pullover looks awesome, is an amazing value compared to some of its more expensive competitors, and really did keep me warm into the 40s. Lost one star because it was a bit too snug in the pits, but I'm a wide dude, so this may be slightly unfair. Love this jacket!

Most L.L. Bean men's jackets are now slightly fitted. Slightly fitted does not work for me so I have to shop elsewhere.

I wanted to love it for the looks but it is not working for an active lifestyle for it hampers mobility. I gave 3 stars for it may work for smaller and skinny customers who purchase one size up. It is a 1 star for tall people due to issues explained below. More to the detail: I am 6'6" tall, buying XL Tall clothing for arm length (L would work for my torso, but XL buys the extra inch on the sleeve). This XL looks nice till I raise the arms to horizontal. It is cut such that the pullover raises way up while preventing me from moving arms in front of me. No way I could do snow shoeing, XC skiing, or paddling in this. Sorry LL Bean, but you messed up with this one.

This would be okay for a very quick walk outdoors during the spring or fall, probably at the lowest temperature around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't think it would keep anyone that I can think of warm until 5 below, which seems to be the expectation on this pullover. It was a little large on me, but I am a woman, so I thought that was probably why. I bought this on sale and I am returning it because it isn't going to be warm enough for even late winter. It's made of a very, very light fabric, and I was cold while wearing it in my house at around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't think this pullover would live up to many people's expectations for keeping warm.

I am 6 feet tall. I found that the XL Tall fits normal in the chest but the tall is no longer than a typical normal length garment somewhere else. Just covers a normal T Shirt. But the problem is the upper arms. They are so tight in the armpit area. It makes full manoeuvrability difficult. Layering is not possible either.

I was excited to purchase this item because of the colors(Hickory/Bean) and because of the temperature rating (-5 for Moderate Activity). Thought it would be a good addition for hiking and trail runs in colder temps. Purchased both L and XL for comparison and figured I would keep the better fitting size. The nicest thing I can say is that the colors look good together. Warmth - it's definitely packable because it is paper thin. I am familiar with Primaloft and its characteristics as I have another jacket with that insulation. I couldn't wear this at -5 degrees without some serious layering underneath. So, the temp rating is way off. Sizing - As another reviewer noted, the jacket is very close fitting under the armpit area, restricting movement. ...and now for the WORST PART - the sleeves on the L are IDENTICAL in size to the sleeves on the XL. Talk about cutting corners!! Have the folks at LLB considered the possibility that someone may order an XL not because they need a wider body, but because they need more room in the shoulders and arms???? Expected much better quality from LLB and am returning both sizes.
