It works well as an inner layer but can't be used alone on a windy day as it lets the wind rip right through.

Too small. Needed a tall medium but it wasn't offered. Other wise it a great wellade item.

Nice product but subject to pilling as in the past sweater fleece products It would be good to know best technique for depilling these sweater fleece products. I found micro fleece products help

From a fit standpoint, this fleece pullover is top notch. It's comfortable to wear and it's a great warmth layer. In my opinion, however, there are two issues - first is the pouch. As soon as I put anything in there (i.e. cell phone, keys, even my hands), the nylon pouch material sags below the hem line of the jacket and is visible. Very disappointing for a costly item. I'm probably going to take it to a tailor to have it sewn up a bit so it doesn't sag any more.
Secondly, I think the snaps are simply cheap. Yes, they work, but the quality is quite low, in my opinion, and the jacket would be greatly improved with better snaps or a zipper.
Love the jacket. Just don't like those two features.

The cut for the shoulders seemed weird. I bought one for me and one as a Xmas gift. I returned mine and will see how the Xmas gift goes.

Needs to have real cuffed sleeves, not banded and this product would be awesome.

I loved the style and weight of the garment but that pouch pocket is a bust. The inside is so flimsy that if you put anything in it that may wear it out, it does and you've got holes then. If you're just putting your hands in to warm them, it's probably OK. Just don't put glasses, a phone or anything edgy or you'll have holes. And, for me, the sleeves were a tad too long.

This "fleece" is okay. The Pattern and the Snap-up collar are great. The problem I had was with VALUE for the PRICE. To me, its Way Overpriced. The reason being the quality is Not up to the LLBean that I know from past years, and I go Way Back to when LLBean garments were made in the USA and had a Lifetime guaranty against failure, everything was made so well, it was all about Durability, Warmth, Softness and Construction, and everything was the thickest and sturdiest materials on the market. This "fleece" was not like the fleece materials from days gone by, it is more coarse and less soft than traditional fleece material. Also this fabric, although as thick as other fleece, seemed to have more on open knit, and my concern is that it would not be as warm as desired when it was very windy on say a 45 to 50 degree day or raw outside when you want to throw on a pullover and run out. The Look of it is fantastic,
but I am all about Quality and Value. And to me, this is Not an $89. garment. The price for me was too high, so I sent it back for a refund, to choose something else instead.
We need LLBean to be the LLBean we knew and loved, its time to start selling Top Quality some products "Made in the USA" again, manufactured with Integrity. Thanks.

Terrific looking, BUT, the pouch pocket hangs below the hemline of the fleece ....... NOT GOOD!

Great fleece pullover. However the snaps are terrible and don't fasten properly.

I have many LLBean jackets including Fleece and usually I don't have problems with the fit. I'm 170lbs and 6' and I always find the Medium fits perfect. So I ordered this in a Medium and it's so small and tight that I could hardly even pull it on. It's so small on me that I'm now wondering if even their Large will fit right? So really disappointed that I have to return. If you want to see what I'm talking about I've attached a pic with it laying over one of my Fleece LLBean Jackets also a size medium. Look at how tiny the sleeves are! Wouldn't even fit on my arms. Hard to believe that they're calling both of these the same size!

It's nice but the pocket lining is all one piece and even with nothing in it, it sags out of shirt. Forget about putting anything in it because it looks like you have had liposuction and your skin flap is says hello 2 the world

I was very disappointed in the material. I have a pullover from LL Bean that purchased over 20 years and I love it, but the fabric on this one resembled a horse blanket. Very disappointed.

I bought this fleece a while ago because I wanted a fleece with the same look as my 40 year old sweater that I love so much. Final thoughts - collar too bulky and tall, sleeves too long and narrow, and after light use it's starting to pill.
Great idea but could have been executed better.

Fit and style was great, but I found the texture of this fleece too rough. I prefer to be able to wear it with a t-shirt underneath so this was a dealbreaker, but I found the sherpa fleece pullover much more comfortable.

Order is late and has been in my city for two days at UPS Ground and still not delivered. As other reviews have stated, may be time to use FedEx. Once I get the delivery, I will rate the pullover.

I was disappointed when I received this sweater. It was made well, but not what I wanted, and it fit me weird. I did return it with no problems, I did get the same print in the rag wool pullover which I really am pleased with.

Unfortunately, this pullover felt uncomfortable the minute I tried it on. It had a boxy look and feel. It was not at all what I expected to feel like. One of the very few items from Bean that I didn't love in the 60 years I've shopped there. I did return it.

It's clearly my fault that I didn't read the garment description more carefully; I thought this was a patterned fleece pullover like one I purchased from Bean in about 1998. That's still serviceable, but looking a little tired. I was so excited to see these new patterned pullovers recently that I didn't appreciate that the exterior is NOT fleece. Rather, it is an interlock fabric whose texture similar to a sweatshirt. The pattern appears to be stamped onto the fabric. The fleece is inside.
The new pullover I received this week didn't make it out of the plastic bag and is on its way back to Freeport.
I'll keep my eyes open in case an old-style patterned fleece like the one I already own (pictured below) comes along again one of these days.

Super wide. Not fitted. If you like a fitted pullover, this isn't for you. Should have sent it back.

I loved the look of this in the catalog because I used to have a heavy wool sweater with this weave that I loved. The first disappointment was that it was too small even though all my other LLbean tops are medium. When I put it on and looked in the mirror, the colorful LLBean label on the chest really ruined the look of this fleece. This is woven like a sweater, and they don't put their label on the chest of their other sweaters, so why do it on this one. I have a different LLBean sweater fleece and they but a very small emblem on the hem - not the chest.

It is a beautiful pullover but not as warm as one should expect. As compared to polar fleece- type material it does not seem nearly as warm. Still, nice appearance and seems durable.
