Best sweater on the market for the money, lasts forever

I had a one quarter zip placket wool fisherman's sweater for years. I had gotten it as a gift more years ago than I can count. Over the years it had become a little moth worn (which I had sewn) but it remained my go to cold weather top. Then came the new family dog. He liked the sweater too. I set out to find a replacement as close to the original as I could find. One day I spotted this! It is nearly identical to my prior sweater. This sweater is warm and does not itch. I like a loose fit so I got an extra large. It is exactly what I needed. I am headed to Northern Canada in a few weeks and will be giving my new friend a real workout.

Very nice sweater, but way heavier than we need in Seattle, so I returned it. We mostly dress in layers here.

I spent time in energy expensive UK this winter and the sweater was a warm godsend since the house heating was often turned off. I do not have another sweater which is as warm as this one. I now think I should have bought two of them!

This is my third Waterfowl sweater. I have a blue one, bought my son a tan one because he wanted one, and bought another Forest Shade for myself. They are extremely warm, fit very well, and three years later the first one looks as good as they day I bought it.
