The fit is a little tight, it's merino so I expect they think people will wear it without a shirt underneath. I got an XL, so it is a little looser

I bought this for my guy for Christmas, he wears it every single day instead of a jacket! He absolutely loves it! I may have to purchase him another again this Christmas.

Arrived on promised date. The sweater is worthy of any clandestine behind enemy lines OP. Construction is top notch, stitching is all tight with no loose threads. A very high quality sweater.

I can't say enough good about this sweater. It is warm and breathes wonderfully. I like the style and the fit. I ordered 2XL Tall and it was true to form. I used this sweater this winter as my outer layer, didn't need a coat at all. I would recommend this to anyone who is outside a lot and needs a good layer to work with.

Very comfortable and the wool is heat regulating. It is also very well made and looks great with a button-down collared shirt for work! My wife loves the look as it reminds her of my active duty days. lol.

purchased one maybe 25 yrs ago? when it was made in England. Wore like iron. A great LL Bean product. The new one fits well only it does not itch when it touches the skin like the original.

This is my second sweater in this style. They both look great and are very warm and comfortable. The wool is soft and not at all scratchy while maintaining its body and shape.

It looks sharp, is comfortable, is warm but not to bulky and doesn't pil much because of the reinforced sleeves.

Great fit and warmth. A remarkably low price for a merino sweater of this weight and quality. I own two and wore them everyday on a 17 day trip to Japan this January. I recommend wearing a long sleeve, lightweight merino underwear with it. This and a vest was all I needed even on cold and windy days. It also drys fast a doesn't absorb odors. The ideal travel sweater for me.

My wife wanted me to order something that she could give me. This reminded me of the fatigue sweater that I wore under my BDU's in the army. Except this one has the shoulder and arm patches to prevent excess wear. The color is a little more brown than in the photos, but that is okay.
