I received these slippers for Christmas 2024. The quality was poor. The insole was lumpy from the moment I put it on. The stitching on the bottom of the slipper at the sole wore through in about six months. The left slipper is so poorly constructed I walk more on the side of the slipper rather than sole. I'm switching to Minnetonka brand to get a better slipper at a lower price.

I had a pair of these slippers for years and they were fine. I just purchased a replacement pair and the left slipper was very loose on the left side around the ankle. Looking at both slippers from the rear it was obvious that more material was sewn into the left side. I returned the slippers and ordered an identical pair. Same problem! Also returned. It appears that there is a systematic error in the manufacturing process. I expected better quality control from this company

Unless you learn to walk like a dainty princess, these horrible hybrid slipper/moccasins will bunch up. It feels like walking on a pillow (in the worst ways). These are NOT normal moccasins. LL Bean basically took what should be an extra hide layer and placed poorly fitted foam. The wool is also very poor quality & dyed this "dirty sheep color" to make it look natural. Although its stated as natural, wool feels very fake. Normally love the smell of leathers, but these have much more powerful, fake chemical tanning smell thats not enjoyable. Also the 1st try on, the stitching failed & completely tore with little force. They are poorly constructed, different sizes , too big, too small, cheap materiales, poor engineering & wasteful slippers. They are somehow tight but feel like rain boots. Why would LL Bean think men would enjoy the feeling of ballet flats with skinny, height increasing foam they have to balance while walking or moccasin disintegrates. I am so disappointed with purchase because my entire family used to buy Bean slippers at Xmas in store as gifts & legit loved the style. Have gotten consistant poor quality last couple years in store & 1st purchase online get defective product. Would suggest if you HAVE to have these, get 1-2 sizes SMALLER, not bigger. You will have to walk on balls of feet otherwise bc heal will not sit properly. Actully, i cant see these properly fitting anyone size 10 or above. These are FAR from true to size, then again, my pair was a nightmare.

I have worn these slippers for decades. After my last pair wore out, I saw there was no wide size available, so I ordered M. Way too tight, had to return them. Would happily order again, but for now these are useless for me.

Purchased a mens size 9 for my mother (age 84). The slippers are so small she can't get them on. Fits like a women's size 9.

Did not fit as recommended nor is the workmanship anything like my prior pair. I returned them for credit which took nearly two weeks to get. Not a good experience.

These slippers have a really odd cut that does not fit like any shoe I have ever owned. They have very pointy toes which wouldn't be so bad if they didn't taper to a point directly over the middle toe. This caused them to pinch my toes. I tried moving up a size and that did not solve the toe pinching issue. Too bad because I liked the style.

I've heard my whole life how great LL Bean was so was excited to receive these slippers for Christmas. Upon slipping them on, the slipper was way too tight despite upsizing and most notably the memory foam bottom was cut way too narrow. Not having wide feet, this was obviously a problem. As the leather relaxes, the slipper will fit better but the memory foam bottom not being leather will never expand to be a 'normal' width. The tag inside was also pretty scratchy on the foot.
The fact they charge return shipping despite the sizing not being standard is ridiculous. I'm not sure if the quality on this $100 pair of slippers was simply bad or if the love for this brand is just overblown, but this was my first and last attempt with LL Bean. I won't pay for their mistake again. Item returned but first time buyers beware.

My husband adores these slippers and has worn them every day for several years. This new pair ripped at the back seam and was returned for exchange (not yet received).

I like these slippers, but they are not durable. The stitching that holds the sole onto the upper cannot withstand even the lightest indoor use. I have used my pair for a few months and the stitching disintegrated in the wear points very, very fast. The stitching uses an extremely weak thread material. If it was heavier, like jute or something, maybe.

These slippers are beyond cheap. I received them as a present and they immediately ripped at the back stitching. I exchanged them for another pair due to this quality issue, and the replacement pair ripped in the EXACT same spot. This is a defect that needs to be resolved and LL Bean is clearly aware yet does not seem to care enough to fix it. Avoid these slippers and find a company that still takes pride in their quality control.

Love the slippers and have had a few pair now, but they don't last. Have had current pair for four years, only wear a few months each year. They want me to send them in to be "evaluated" but they will just say it is wear and tear.

I wear a size 12 dress shoe and a size 13 athletic show, I wanted these to be loose because they are worn around the house so I ordered a size 14 - I cannot even get my foot in them, they are so tight.

First pair I had was in the 70's. I loved them. Wore them everywhere. Finally wore them out. Fast forward 50 years (full disclosure - I purchased them from Zappo's) these newer versions are very unstable. The thick felt interior sole is now memory foam. It's like trying to balance on pillows.
The right slipper insisted on rolling over so that I was walking on the side of the slipper. Uncomfortable and unsafe. I sent them back!

These appear to have memory foam or some kind of foam in the insoles. This makes them highly unstable and, combined with the thin suede sides allows them to twist and distort until I'm walking on the sides. I can't wear them at all because they are dangerous and make me trip on them. They have the rigidity of wet socks. I had a pair in the 1980's that were much more substantial. I'm very disappointed with these slippers.

For the first time in over 30 years of purchasing LL Bean products, I am disappointed. The opening was so narrow that my son couldn't even get them on his feet. I'll be returning them.

Have had 2 pairs. Both of them had the sole stitching disintegrate. This time I had the top stitch redone by a professional but soon the bottom stitch blew out since it lays flat on the floor and wears quickly. No more of these.

I've had them quite a while. They were a Christmas gift from my wife. Immediately, the shearling bunched up under my toes and became very uncomfortable, if not downright painful. I took a scissors to the shearling and trimmed it down to alleviate this. But the bigger problem was that the right slipper never sat correctly: it listed to the outer side . Eventually the slipper just wore out prematurely. I have attached photos. I've only now reviewed it because I've returned to purchase new slippers. I will not under any circumstances purchase this model ever again.

Ripped out first day of wear. I've been wearing these slippers for over 30 years. Generally they are bullet proof. I really hope they didn't cheapen them up for the cost today.
