The quality of the slippers is not there. This would have been my third pair but I had to send them back. Another example of poor quality is in a jacket I bought a few years ago. It was a down filled Acadia jacket. The material around the elastic in the sleeves and around the bottom of the jacket is rotting away. I regret not sending it back when it started to rot away.

The opening is these slippers is so small I couldn't even get my foot in the slipper. I can't attest to the fit because I never got them on my foot to tell.

I bought these same slippers 5 years ago, the don't even come close to the quality of my old pair. They also cost around twenty dollars more. There is less fur on the inside and around the ankle. The slipper material in much thinner than my old pair. So far, I am still wearing my old pair. I will guarantee the new pair will not last as long as the old pair.So I guess the new slippers are not as wicked good as the old pair.

I purchased these twice in the last decade or so. The stiching which looks like leather is poor quality. With just the friction from walking in my house it wears out and breaks. When that happens all you are left with is a good slipper in two pieces. The first pair I threw away the second pair I re-stitched them with a good quality shoelace. Still have them.

I've been buying these slippers for years, because they're just so darned comfortable, but I've finally decided to stop wasting money on single-year slippers.
The uppers are durable leather. The bottoms are durable leather. But for some reason they went with cheap cloth to stitch them together, so the uppers separate from the lowers after maybe a year of daily use.

I love how comfy and warm these slippers are but they just don't last. I would expect for the price they'd survive a year, but that's all I got out of this pair, despite not wearing them outside or even the whole year. And when the stitching fails, it's catastrophic, as you can see from the photo.
Overall, this was a waste of money.

My husband wore out a pair of these slippers, wearing them outside and inside and everywhere. They've been machine washed and dried and everything! They were great. I ordered another pair for Christmas and he put them on and one of the heel seams ripped right away. Same size and everything as the old ones. So, I am sending these defective ones back for a larger size and we'll see if that makes a difference. Besides seeming to be smaller, I think that the leather itself may be thinner, and so it could not stand up to the close stitch sewing on the heel (which appears to be good quality). Let's hope this bigger pair is better. I'll report back

I've had LLBean slippers in the past. These are comfortable, warm and cozy but they do not afford me any ankle support. So it is back to slipper section and look for a pair that will do me right.

Just purchased two pairs of Wicked Slippers. One each of both colours. The Tan Pair the stitching on the 'Left' Slipper is crooked and not straight down the center, like the 'Right' Slipper and the Slippers are tighter than I would expect, even though I order a size larger and double EE. The Brown Pair are too tight also - the 'Right' Slipper seems to be a bit larger than the 'Left' Slipper. Not the Quality I would expect from LL Bean. I've owned two pairs of these Wicked Slippers for years, with no issues - they just wore out. I suppose with an increase in price, comes less quality? These use to be $49.95, now $79.95, with 'Free Shipping' - something is amiss.... I'm hopeful the 'exchange' process will be painless and I'm looking forward to many years of 'Toasty Toes'....

These are lovely slippers if you don't mind the really narrow insert. I was looking for something flatter to the ground and sent these back. The insert is pillowed enough that I was afraid of twisting my ankle in the night.

These slippers fit OK but I noticed the sheepskin was a little thin the minute I put them on,. Within four days the sheepskin under the base of my toes started to bunch up and became very uncomfortable.
I'm returning them but it seems unfair to have to pay return postage for a defective product.

Although these appear to be soft soled, there is an inner, harder, shank of some kind, that is narrower than the sole itself. I found my heal slipping off the shank since the sides of the slipper were wider than the shank Guess 'slipper' is a good description of these. :-)
Also, I should have realized from the design, but these can't be slipped into due to the height around the ankle. Great for comfort once on, but have to use hands to get them on.
Had to return them...

I must start by saying that these are very well made slippers, but are sized a bit large. The problem I had was the fur lining pilled up into knots making them very uncomfortable to wear. I used socks and bare feet alternately and noticed the knots forming within a month of fairly regular use.
I saw in another review that someone used a dinner fork to get the tangled fur to separate, but in my case, the knots of hair came out in clumps when I tried to comb it using that method and I was unsuccessful in removing all the knots.
I returned them after a year of use. LL Bean honored their unconditional guarantee without any hassles.

These slippers are warm and have a lot of cushion. However, I had to return them since they offer no support.

This is my second pair of "Wicked Good Slippers." Unfortunately, the wool balls up under my toes; very uncomfortable.

I received my slippers today and while I know there is a wider model available and that is what I should have ordered, I don't wear wide shoes by any other brand.
The slippers actually fit fine -- it's just the soles that are too narrow. When I walk, my feet teeter to the outside of the sole. It's silly.

I'm starting on my third season with these and I think it's time to throw them away. My feet were wonderfully warm the first year. Loved the slippers. They were pretty good the second year. And, now, my feet are cold all the time. The shearling has gotten compacted so much now. I'm not too satisfied with the slippers considering the price, but I'd feel bad to send the slippers back after having them for two years.

I didn't realize these are soft leather soles. I don't trust them to last more than a year or two. That's not acceptable for this price. I'm also disappointed that 1/2 sizes are not available. I'm returning the slippers.

Slippers were purchased in the shoe size the recipient wears but we're too tight and felt small.

These well-made slippers are soft and comfy inside, and the fit was fine for my foot. The problem: The bottom sole tapers down to an extremely narrow heel (in retrospect, this can be seen clearly on the website picture of the bottom of the shoe) and although the slippers were very comfortable when I was off my feet, when standing or walking I felt my heel rocking left and right, and it was very disconcerting. I could not walk or stand comfortably. Why the heel is so narrow, I have no idea. I only know that because of this they were the most uncomfortable slippers I have ever owned, and after a few days of trying to get used to them I gave up and sent them back.

These slippers are most definatly WARM. That's about the ONLY good quality. They do in fact run a size too big & too wide. And then they stretch, making them even larger. After wearing them one season, the stitchiing started to break apart & the sole started to seperate. I sent an email off to customer service & L.L. Bean stood behind their promise - quality! I got help to get a new, and different, pair of slippers ordered! Customer service is high, but these slippers - low.

When you first put these on after receiving them, they are FABULOUS! They are very warm and the shearling insulation is sooooo soft and comfy. After a few wears, the shearlling gets compacted and is not nearly as soft and comfy. I have had a pair for over a year now and one of the slippers is losing the shearling -- I have no idea where it went -- you can see through to the bottom of the slipper. This is a very expensive slipper so for this kind of money, I would expect these to hold up for years and years. I have had these in the past and the same thing happens. Once the shearling starts to go these are not nearly as comfortable or warm. My feet actually get cold in them now -- I have to wear socks with them to help keep the feet warm. I would recommend these if you plan to buy a new pair every year. Like I said, they are fabulous right out of the box -- they just don't hold up well. If they held up better they would be well worth the price.

I purchased these slippers for my husband thinking they'd be wonderful; after all, I've seen them in the catalogue and heard good things about them for years. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The first pair arrived & after a week or two of use I returned them because they -- despite being the correct size -- had my husband walking on the sides of the slipper instead of the bottom! Clearly they were just not put together correctly. LLBean quickly and cooperatively replaced them -- their one saving grace.
However, the second set of slippers only lasted about 6 months. They're completely worn out for any comfortable use, the "wicked good" softness inside is largely worn away, they don't "ride" right (as in, these also had him walking on the seems/side to some degree). We replaced them with a different style of Bean slippers (which is also beginning to disintegrate in the heel after 8 months). I would not recommend these slippers to anyone who plans to wear them a lot. If you wear them occasionally I'm sure they're fine, but we use slippers a LOT. I won't be buying Bean slippers again based on our experience.
My husband says, "They're cute. They're good looking. But they are not functional."

I have always been very happy with LL Bean clothing, so I hate to have to do this, but I am more than a little disappointed with these slippers. Granted, I have had them for 4 or 5 years, but considering I only wear them in the Winter, and the fact that after about the third year the lining was pretty much shot, well, I guess I just expected them to keep my feet toasty warm longer than they did. I wear socks with them now, but it's not the same. And now I see the price has gone up $10 to $59.99
