First pair ripped on the read seam above the ankle after 5 uses. Hope the replacement pair lasts longer after paying over $100 for them

The sizing and quality are not the same as the last time I purchased, maybe 7 years ago. The opening to slip my foot in is way too tight. The material has torn within 1 month of wearing. Not as good quality as previous slippers from ll bean.

These slippers are very soft and warm, and I love that they rise up higher on the foot/ankle than most other slippers do. However, who on earth approved placing a rough tag right at the arch of the foot?! Ridiculous, lazy placement that requires me to try to remove a tag in an awkward spot without damaging the slippers. Also, half sizes are needed!

So sad. My dad had & loves these slippers but they are falling apart. Of course they no longer make them in 14 wide like he needs :( and he is sooo picky about his slippers

Super comfy but they tore after one week of indoor normal wear as slippers.

The slippers are nice and warm. But I like to wear socks with my slippers during the day and the design of these slippers makes them way too tight to do that. So I only use these on the weekends when I first get up. Otherwise they sit in the closet and a similar 20 year old pair from a different company still gets the job done.

Mens size 10. No. More than 1.5 smaller. Too tight to be worn comfortably. Gave to some one with smaller feet. Not buying again.

Comfy cozy slippers but, as mentioned in other reviews, LL Bean really needs to focus on wider widths. With that they would be perfect.

I'm somewhat surprised at the quality of these slippers. The fur around the top comes off. The sole on the bottom was a little disappointing, just stepping outside my front door to retrieve the mail I felt the cold. I have no problem with the size.

I bought these for a Christmas gift two years ago (2022). The shearling lining flattened out in less than a year, so I gave the recipient innersoles. Then the stitching holding the top to the sole wore out. The quality is definitely not as reliable as it was many years ago...our first pairs of these from maybe the 1980's wore for ten or so years! Now the recipient needs a new pair of slippers...not sure about these...

I wear a size 13 and had to return mine and get a size 14 as the first pair was too tight in all directions. The size 14 (which I've never had to wear in my life) is super narrow and fits like a glass slipper (I'm a large man, so it's not ideal or flattering). Also, the rim of the slipper has no extra fur that curls over like the old ones. On a positive note, I don't notice any difference in the softness of the fur as others have mentioned. As well, customer service was great and by declaring the first pair as "defective" it allowed me to return / exchange them for free (otherwise, all returns are $8.00 if you want to mail them!) I'm keeping them, but will likely continue to wear my old ones until they completely fall apart.

Love these slippers since I bought a pair a few years ago. But the cordage used to sew the uppers to the soles is failing miserably. I've had to repair them frequently, getting tired of it.

Slippers don't feel right. When wearing slippers, the sole of the shoe is off to one side, not directly under your foot.

These are the same kind of warm fluffy slippers I've been buying for years. This time, the left slipper is about a size larger than the right. It's just sewn in a way that makes the heel not fit as closely, so it's loose all around. Aside from it wanting to fall off when I walk, it also means there's room for a draft between the fleece and my foot. There's also a knob of lacing that sticks up on one of the seams and jabs into the ball of my foot at times. Overall disappointing when these have been amazing slippers in the past. (This is at least my fourth pair). For all the pairs that have fit, just be mindful that the fleece will smash down over time and after wearing them for a year or so there won't be much insulation on the bottom layer. I usually have two pair, one that's newer and warm, and an older pair that I'm willing to get grungy wearing out on to the patio. There's always a noticeable difference in their insulating qualities.

Having owned four pairs of these over the past twenty years, I can attest to their quality, ageless style and comfort. However, while I was absolutely impressed and satisfied with the first three pairs, I was mildly disappointed with the latest pair. Oddly, one of the slippers interior "fur" feels slightly rough like it's substandard sheep skin (?). Or as if it had been overly coated with some protectant or some such.

I didn't see that these slippers come in a wide width, which was the case years ago. They're nice and comfortable, but they've reached a point that I can find cheaper options.

I love these slippers. My first pair lasted four years of me wearing them a lot. However, more recent ones have only lasted about half of that. I thought the quality of the slippers had lowered, but I realized the change happened when they stopped having wide sizes. I think the narrower fit means I'm putting more strain on the seams. These have been my go-to winter slippers for a long time and I still like them, but I think I'm going to look around for others that fit better and will last longer. "Would you recommend this product to a friend?" As long as they don't have wide feet, sure.

These run VERY narrow and while the site says they have wide sizes they are never in stock. I take a 9 1/2 wide in normal shoes but had to settle for a twelve to get close to the feel that is right. Very disappointed in my absolute favorite slipper (replacing twenty year old ones I've repaired myself because I couldn't get new ones until this year.)

Best slippers ever for the two years I've had them. Extremely comfy and warm. However, just recently the heel area in my right-foot slipper began to wear down, and now a big gap has opened between the sole and the boot. They need to be replaced. I'd expect much better from a company like L.L. Bean, so I checked the guarantee, and it's apparently only good for one year. Not impressed.

Many years ago I received a pair of these and they lasted for nearly 5 years before wearing out. So last year I bought a new pair. With these I found that one heel was uneven and my foot would slide to the inside. It seemed minor so I put up with it for the season. Now this year when I got them out again I find that the "fleece" is coming out in tufts every time I take them out. They apparently are no longer built to last.

I've owned severable pairs of these slippers over the years and they are warm, comfortable, and look great, HOWEVER, they are built to wear out. The problem is with the lacing that fastens the sole to the upper part of the slipper. The lacing is not leather but looks similar to a "cord" or "twine" and is composed of multiple strands of fiber that are twisted together. As you walk, the lacing rubs against the floor or carpet and soon begins to wear. Before long, individual strands of fiber in the lacing begin to break and within a couple of years, the lacing itself breaks which causes the sole to separate from the upper and the slippers to fall apart. If the lacing were made of leather rather than a cord or twine-like material, the slippers would likely last for many years. As it is now, you have to buy new slippers every couple of years. I've seen this same kind of construction, using some sort of weak lacing or stitching to hold the sole to the upper, in many other slippers, moccasins, and shoes. This way it ensures that you will always be a frequent buyer. They are very nice warm, comfortable slippers. Just be prepared to buy new ones every couple of years.
