The most comfortable shoe I've ever owned! I walk 8 to 10 miles a day. I've owned all of the most popular shoes on the market and the Altra brand are the best for me.

I waited to review this until I've been running in them for almost two solid months. It wasn't that I didn't get a pretty good feel for them at the start, but it was that I wanted to make sure before I co-signed them I really told them through some paces. I'm not a long runner, I run probably about 5 mi every time I set out a few times a week, but I like to run hills, I like to sprint, I like to vary my pace and run as a form of variable high intensity training, and in every type of scenario I put these shoes in they perform very well. I ran on track, concrete, well padded dirt trails, and blacktop roads. No matter if I was uphill, downhill, in the rain, dry weather, or cold, these shoes were great. I normally wear the Brooks launch line, and I was a little nervous in switching brands, but I felt that these quickly adjusted to my feet, provided very great support, and are extremely comfortable. For me I say they fit true to size but I know I have a wider foot and I need a nice toe box, as my biggest area of pain when running is typically the narrowness of the front pinching my toes together gets old after a while. I don't think that'll be a problem with these shoes, it's certainly hasn't been a problem so far. They have a nice support along the heel and the arch, but then a nice wide flat toe box that's about perfect for my needs. It's possible that they don't run like that for everybody, but my foot beat them into the shape that I need for my foot. If so I say that's exactly how they're intended to be and it's a great design, and if it just so happened to line up perfectly for me then I'd say it's a great design for me. As with all things running shoes you have to choose what works for you, but I think I've got a pretty clear choice here.

Only been wearing about 45 days casually and has holes on the heel already. Like the shoe, but disappointed.

First impression of these shoes is great. Open the box and you see bright stylish pair of shoes. I like how lightweight they are and also the shape i unique and very comfortable for toes. Laces are pretty good and shoe fits and sits nicely and tight enough. I have done some running with these shoes and feels good. Cushioning is soft and supports really well. So far i enjoyed these shoes. Its really competes good with some of the other well known brands out in market.

The shoe came true to size. It took about 12 runs before I broke them in. The outsole rubber grips very well. The shoe is extremely flexible and running in them is very enjoyable. The only issue is that running in the dirt, the outsole attracts a lot of dirt so I recommend running in clean surfaces.

I'm was already accustomed to wearing barefoot shoes such as Lems and Xero. I added these for walking and I wanted to start running. Only issue I had with shoes is one shoestring was a good bit longer than the other. I called in to the customer service and they pretty said they couldn't help me. They said they are all the same size but didn't offer to send a new pair. Anyways this is aggravating as one is right and the other drags the ground. Otherwise the shoes fit and feel great. Might could but a tad bit wider for me but much better than traditional shoes.

Tried so many different pairs famous too expensive brand name- most comfortable toe box ever! Beside my feet not feeling achy end of the day My knees and back is much better

I am a female who ordered the men's shoe to provide extra wiggle room for my toes. I ordered my usual size in men's (9) as I wear an 11 in women's. They were too small and I had to exchange them for a men's size 10. Perfect fit now! I love the arch support anf cushioning in these! They were comfortable out of the box with no break-in period. I wear these daily to work, but for outings where I'll be walking for several hours, I prefer the extra plush cushioning of my AltraFWDs. Note that I suffer from plantar fasciitis and that is the reason for my preference of the extra cushioning for long days on my feet. I would buy the Provision 7 again.

Light enough, wide enough, foamed enough. I run 5 times a week, more than 2 months since i bought them, no injuries. My foot doesn't smell at all, socks are fresh as well. I just take them off after the run like nothing happened, such a game-changer after regular narrow sneakers. 3 of my friends already bought Provisions and Via Olimpus after my recommendation.

Heard about Altra through natural footwear community. Shoe is holding up great, wide toe box and have been using on daily short runs as well as in the gym. Will be trying other Altra shoes soon.

These are fantastic!! The toe box is an absolute game changer and they couldn't have made this shoe any better!!! I have recently transitioned to zero drop and can already tell a huge difference and improvement!!!

These are great shoes - very comfortable! They have a bit more cushion and support than some other Altra models. I have skinny ankles, so I have to do a special lace-job to get these just right.

Really like these shoes, the slightly wider design make them comfortable all day. Would definitely recommend for those who feel like their feet are constricted in other brands/designs.

I'm about 150 miles into these shoes and they are holding up great. Love this softer fuller tongue design as opposed to some that have cut into my ankle. Awesome shoe.

Loyal Brooks Running customer but these shoes have converted me. They are slightly narrow in the heel but super comfortable and an energizing run. Next time I would buy the wider sole design. MY feet are happy when I have them on.

Provision is the best shoe for me

It's a very soft and pillowy shoe. A lot of support. It's very comfortable. It's definitely not for those used to minimalist type of shoes. More for those looking for some material between them and the terrain.

I was skeptical of these shoes the first time I ran in them. They were a little uncomfortable and dug into the top of my right foot. I'm glad I didn't give up on them because after breaking them in they are my go to shoes now! They are light weight and provide plenty of cushion when impacting the ground. The shoe laces evenly tighten around my foot and stay laced up while running. The shoe is a little wide for me but it does not affect the shoes in any way. Overall I would recommend these shoes!

Good cushion, comfortable.

I was worried because I've never had shoes quite like these. However they did my feet perfectly! These are going to be my go to work out shoes and shoes for standing on my feet all day at work! I would compare these to hoka and cloud

Best running shoe I own. I love the new style that altra is going with. I see them being a bigger player in the running shoe space with their trendy new designs. I've wore this shoe in my latest half marathon and set a PR. Got lots of compliments too.
