Seemed just a bit too long and too wide for my foot. But overall I really like the shoe. It's got some very nice cushioning and I love the mineral blue color that I got. My foot feels just wine during and after using the shoes.

I really love these shoes. As a nurse that works 12 hours and works out, they are truly versatile and perfect. I look forward to learning what the longterm life of these shoes is.

I have a hard heel strike when I run and this shoe definitely helps mitigate that for me. The thick cushion makes running in a semi-urban environment way easier on my knees!

These running shoes look oddly wide when you first put them on, but the wide sole at the toe really reduces the impact when running on hard surfaces - they're really responsive soles and so much better for my shins!

Color and style are great. Toe box was a little small for me, but otherwise they were good.

I love everything about these shoes except I wish they were in the original Altra width! There are so many shoes out there that are for regular or slightly wide feet, please make more in your original width!

Overall, this is a nice shoe. Unfortunately, it just didn't fit well; the Paradigm is more suited to my foot shape. The best part of the shoe to me was the outsole. It's a bit noisy at first, as other reviewers have noted, but as you wear it, that quiets down some. I felt the traction was very good and would do very well when the road is wet; didn't get the opportunity to try it before returning them, though. I wish the Paradigm used this material. I am not a big fan of the mixed lacing system, the loops instead of eyelets made it hard to get the proper fit.

I own a pair of Provision 6s. They're better than most shoes, but toe box is still not wide enough as my pinky toe has worn a hole in the mesh covering from rubbing against the top/side of the shoe.

These have a nice fit. Similar to Topo. They have a positive heel lock and snug mid foot. The toe box is great too. I went in to get the Torin 6's but they're way too narrow. So I tried the Provisions out. They too are narrow but the overall design seems to work with my foot well. The outsole is great. These could easily handle dirt trails. The midsole is firm but responsive and offers good protection.

High quality running shoe. Feels narrow. Plenty of support/cushioning, and provides adequate stability. Colors are nice.

Great shoe and seems to be good quality. Comfortable and "normal" in terms of size and width which for me ends up feeling narrow. But solid shoe that I think will stand the rest of time!

Okay, bad news first. Not a big fan of the baby blue color, which is very different from the version pictured above. The shape of the shoe is not attractive and not something I'd normally be drawn to. Not great at shrugging off water, which is sadly a big reality 9 months of the year in my area. Perhaps most important, the material feels a bit thin near the toe, which is concerning when running. However, this is a nice, comfortable shoe. It feels good to walk, run, and do basic activities in. Very good at gripping the road. It also seems to help with pronation, which is a welcome treat. The tread is holding up well so far, though I am slightly concerned about how the shoe will wear down over time, but not too worried. It's supposed to be good for trail running, but the thinness at the toe and the water seepage makes that less appealing even though it's otherwise cushioned well. Overall, this is a really nice, lightweight running shoe, despite some minor complaints.

Great support, locked in heel, and minimal "give" when running. Love the fact that it is solid yet light, and cushioning on the upper and tongue make it very comfy! Great all around daily trainer.

Used for walking. Initially they felt fine, however, after walking in them for several hours, my left heal developed a sore spot. The Torin 7 has better cushioning, and the Via Olympus 2 is turning out to be my best shoe for walking.

I've enjoyed the shoes, but as I run farther, they bother me, and seem too tight. I called and Altra concurred, but I'm stuck with this pair.

I use Provisions daily for work and trail running and hiking. Very comfortable. BUT... Altra has a quality control problem in its production line which the need to effectively address. The soles come unglued. I have 7 pairs of Provisions, and all but 2 have developed problems with the soles within 2 months of use.

I am still debating about these shoes , I like them the look , the feel is similar to Hoka, but the sole feels stiffer and stronger which is good thing not bad feel left heel pain but went away I have only wore in the house . I like to see a wider version not just in toe box entire shoe and dorsal area its amazing comfortable if it was little its more like a W instead of a WW or 4 E which I really need but willing to give these a try mostly because of price .
I'd also recommend:
This is the first time for Columbia but thumbs up, I recommend hoka! Brooks !

I am a newish runner 2 years and in my late 40's 6'0" 200ish pounds. I have ran in Bondis Clifton's and the Provision 6 up till my purchase of the Provision 7. Far better upper than the 6 cushioning to me was about the same between the 2 new heel was awesome and the foot shape last gives all kinds of room. My 6's went about 300 miles before they were done which for me was good as I could wear my Hokas out in 200 miles The only fault I can find is the outsole on the right shoe in the area of the foot strike has not held up well and is worn slick at 150 miles. The left is fine and appears to be wearing normal. I thought maybe something is wrong with my gate and had that checked by physical therapist and a podiatrist and my gait is just fine. I don't know if I just got a weird piece of outsole, for some reason has weren't quick or if the shoe was maybe somewhat defective and it's billed when I got it or possibly in overcorrection from the stability, I'm a neutral runner and tried these shoes because it said it only provided stability when needed. outside of that great shoe just don't know about the outsole durability

I am new runner in my late 40's who has been running for 2 years 6'1 and 200 on a heavy day. Upper was much better than the Provision 6 good heal lock and the midsole seems to be holding up well. Nice cushion but not much return is pretty good also. My main concern is the outsole wear. I have ran in Hokas and Altra's and my shows have always had pretty even wear from left foot to right foot. However the Provision 7 is wearing like mad on the right heal. After only 150 miles on these shoes the right outside of the heel is slick with the rest of the shoe having good tread left this is only on the right shoe. It bothered me enough I had a Doctor check and make sure my gait was ok no problems there. I'll wear these till they're some but not sure if I'll go with again and possibly look at a different model.
