Ive been wearing practically the same shoe from Saucony for years and always loved them. Theyre comfy, light, and give me the stability I need. But this model and the last went down in quality due to some flaws in their design. The ball of the foot has an oval indentation that creates a suction cup on flat surfaces, causing you to pop loudly with every step. Its extremely annoying. I had to cut grooves into the shoe at the oval to make it stop. The shoelaces never stay tied, even when I double-tie them. Like I said, Ive always worn the same model but Im considering trying something else if the next models arent improved. Theyre minor flaws in the overall design but make wearing them almost unbearable.

At first I was happy with the lighter weight. I wasn't crazy about the lack of tread, but these were recommended to me by the clerk at the running store. After only 115 miles I had holes wore in the heels. I wore them for only another 50-70 miles and then the holes grew to the point that they caused problems. I then through them out. I tried to submit a defective claim back in June, but I received no response from Saucony. I let the clerk at the running store know. I knew it was too late for them to help me, but I wanted them to know about the lack of quality.

I have been wearing Guides for years this is my fourth pair. I have been wearing their pair for a few weeks, and they fit great and have great structure. However, the bottom sole has worn down extremely quickly. Its also as if its made of styrofoam. I am wearing them in the same way Ive worn previous generations, and this is the first time Ive encountered this issue. It is extremely disappointing.

Fit is great, but when you walk the soles make noise as if it's coming loose. So distracting that I do not wear them.

I ordered a 9 1/2 and got one shoe a 9/12 and the other an 8/ 1/2. At least now I know what size fits me best. My money was refunded, and I ended up purchasing a pair of size 9 Triumph 20's. The guide had just a tad too much stability for me. I love the Triumphs.

I have worn Saucony for years but didn't like the Guide 14. Went to Brooks and missed the comfort of Saucony. These 16s are really nice. The only thing keeping me from recommending them for everyone is consistent "pop" in the sole while walking on solid floors in my right shoe (tile and hardwood). It may be a flaw in mine only, and I discovered it too late to return, but it can be annoying. I hope no one else has this issue, but it will not keep me from trying the next model (I think).

Bought it because I loved the Guide 15 so I was expecting the same thing on these. The toe box feels tighter and I'm not liking the upper mesh. It doesn't feel as comfortable as the last version.

Got these on sale to try out a Saucony stability shoe for everyday trainers to replace my old go to brand. I was initially very happy with the fit, style and comfort. However after about 50 miles I noticed these wear exceptionally fast and they started to sound like flip-flops when walking. Apparently when they designed these shoes they didn't account for people who run and aren't big heel strikers. The ball of the foot area wore out by the time I hit about 120 miles. Absolutely ridiculous, I usually get 250-300 miles out of a pair and at $140 a pair that is so bad. I really wanted to like these, but until they make some quality improvements I won't buy again.

In the last decade Ive alternated between the Guide and various brands equivalent. My last version was the 14, and this is the best Guide Ive had. As a 43 year old, with a decent to poor stride the midfoot cushioning is spot on and the step-in feel structure cradles the heel just right.

Weight is just okay, excessive cushion which need made runners extra strength in long distance.

I ordered a 13W, which normally leaves me plenty of room side to side, and in length. This shoe squeezes hard against the side and front of my big toe.

I bought this shoe about 1 month ago. It is very uncomfortable and the heel design is horrible. Have had several pair of Saucony shoes and have loved every pair. This pair not so much. Highly disappointed with the overall design and comfort. Old soles in my opinion are much better.

I've run on these a hand full of times and I'm not sure I like them as much as my guide 14s. My knees and feet tend to hurt with them but they might just need a little more break in. I will say the rubber feels a lot more bouncy and soft.

When I wear these shes my knees fill better. I think once I get them totally broken in , they will fill even better. I am going to purchase another pair blue ones.

If you like the 15, the 16 is a very different fit. The toebox is very different and it is a more snug fit across the whole shoe. In addition, the heal fit is very different as well. I love the guide 15 and I am sure I will get used to this 16. While the sole looks similar, it does feel like an overall softer experience. I think that is because of the insert.

Very roomy. Upper is decent, but soles aren't that comfortable and they feel and sound like walking on cheap plastic.

I bought these for my son. He stated they are not as comfortable as he was hoping. We didn't not consider returning them as he wore them out of the house.

For 30+ years I ran with Saucony with all of them comfortable right out of the box. My last four pairs (Kinvara, Ride, Guide, and Aura TR) just don't fit like they did. It feels like the arch is cut different than before. Unfortunately, I think I need to look elsewhere for running shoes.

Non-runner here. 11.5W fit my orthotics well. Bought these because I wanted to try something different from Brooks. Brooks has very limited colors in Wide. I liked the color, my Dad has a pair...what the heck I pulled the trigger. These shoes may work for others but they are nowhere near as comfortable as my Brooks Adrenaline or Glycerin. They look great, seem well built, but I found myself leaving them in the closet all summer. Maybe they can't take the beating a 6'2 250lb guy dishes out - but my Brooks seem to eat it up every day, all day. Will not buy Saucony again.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Asics
