Great feel...Great Fit...Comfortable for my long trail run!! I was a STRICT Saucony Peregrine guy on the trails. Then I ran in the Xodus Ultra 2 (Fossil/Basalt version). After the first run, I told myself I would not purchase another pair of Peregrines. My feet felt great after my run.

I love these shoes! So much more comfortable than the most expensive pair of trail shoes that Saucony sells.. If you are a trail ultra marathon person or even just a hiker these are the shoes for you! I've had quite a few different pairs for ultra marathons and I like these the best so far. Plus Saucony stands behind the quality of their shoes. If they start to fall apart before a year, just contact them with photos and they mail you a new pair! What's not to love about that. Just buy them!

I bought these after years as a altra customer. These are good on the trail and appear to be well built and designed. Color scheme is a nice change from the usual plain Jane color choices.

Nice shies buy way too small. I own 2 other pairs, same size but these run tight. Ended up returning.

Only have 25 miles on them but love them so far! I'm a bigger runner at 6'-0" and 210 lbs and I really like the thicker stack and additional drop compared to the Peregrine for my longer trail runs. The toe box is wide with plenty of room for my toes and my heels stay in place on the down hills. No hot spots or blisters so far. Other reviews mention durability issues with these shoes, but they have held up great so far. I love them!

I've put 30-40 miles on these so far and I can't complain. They're quite comfy and seem to be made with quality materials. They fit true to size. Colors are unique and look great in person

I bought this shoe for trail running and I love it! While I enjoy my Peregrine 13's, these are probably going to be my new go to trail runners. The cushioning is amazing, and I feel like I can run forever in these things. There is a little bit of spring back into your foot. The tread is legit and the shoe construction is well thought through. If I had to pick something that I don't like about this shoe it would be the laces. I don't know why they did not stick with their normal laces? These laces seem skinnier and flimsy, perhaps it is to allow them to be stuffed into the pocket on top of the tongue? Overall, very happy with this purchase. Buy these trail runners! You will not regret it.

Purchased these for the Bandera 100k and they did not disappoint. At the end of the race my feet were feeling great, no discomfort at all. Great shoe for long distance!

These are one of my favorite trail running shoes (I own a few dozen). They have the right balance of cushion, ground feel and support. Saucony has mastered the midsole foam.

I started out in the original Xodus Ultra and even though I wasn't impressed out of the box, in a very short time, I realized I'd found my new favorite trail shoe. After wearing the original for over 500 miles (and still going strong!) I can say undoubtedly that the Xodus was and is my favorite trail running platform to date. In rolls the V2 Xodus. After having such a good experience in the original, I was nervous about the new version. When I put it on I immediately noticed the new ankle collar and lacing pattern. I thought both could be an improvement and after hundreds of miles I would say the ankle collar is definitely an improvement. The lacing pattern really doesn't make a difference. I will say that it make the shoes harder to switch laces in and I miss having the gator hook that I have on the original but everything else is great. As for durability, these shoes excel! Even the original but the V2 is even more durable. I just finished the No Business 100 where I actually wore the originals for the first 14 miles before switching into the V2 for the remaining 87. Comfort is top notch. Not too much cushion so that you can still feel the trail but enough that after my hundred miler my feet felt ok enough to run again only 3 days later. I can't say enough good things about these shoes. I now own 5 pair of them and plan on buying more. Give us some more colors and please don't stop making the Xodus Ultra. I've finally found a stable running platform that gives me the confidence to run day after day on unforgiving terrain without fear of overuse injuries or banged up feet. Thanks Saucony, this shoe is a winner!

I've bought Perigrins the last two replacements. I understood this to be a more cushy Perigrin and I totally agree. Even more comfortable! I haven't found my Perigrins to be very durable. I'm hoping for better from the Xodus2.

Bought these and another well known brand at the same time to compare and there was no comparison! These fit better, are more comfortable and I love the way they take the shock of everything on the trail! Great shoes!!!

I have about 150 miles on my XU2s, and I'm so happy with the shoes. I had two pair of the XU1s and ran a 100km mountain ultra in them. Loved the shoes, aside from the ankle collar issue. That issue is now fixed and the shoe literally has no problems for me the design is flawless and my feet just feel natural in them. I loved the tongue design in the last shoe and was concerned about the change, but I love the higher profile and rigidity of the tongue. The laces are a bit long for my preference, but I can deal with that. The traction is great in my experience so far. My only "wish" is for more color schemes. I'm not a huge fan of the design on the lower rear of the shoe looks kind of cheap. Overall I'm really happy with this shoe!

The X2U is a very good shoe, and the one I'll use from here on out. An obvious extra layer of cushion is nice for long runs--the Peregrine 13 starts to bite at about 11 miles--so I like the extra padding. It is a bit clunky, but for longer runs that's a good trade off. The upper fits snugly, as opposed the the utterly flimsy (why?) Peregrine, and actually mimics the the unfortunately discontinued Mad River. The insole, as with the Peregrine, is garbage (you can do better, Saucony), but can easily be replaced. The Mad River was FAR the best Saucony shoe for midwestern trails (gravel, dirt, grass, hills, rooty woodlands); well built, fun design, more than adequate (actually quite clever) tread, and a dream fit for at least my foot. Snug. No movement at all. But now the MR is gone, the X2U is very, very good, and I recommend it, especially if you plan to go longer than 10 miles per run.

I've ran in several pairs of the Xodus ultra 1 which lasted me 400 + miles. The Xodus ultra 2 seem to be very similar with a bit of a different look but the same awesome cushion. They are not over cushioned where you feel like you're going to snap an ankle on the trail. But just the right amount to adsorb the impact and feel connected to the ground. Definitely a shoe to try

Great trail runners from the first run. I'm a heavier runner (6'1" 210lbs) and these provided enough cushioning and stability for me to feel great after my 10-15k runs. Love these for trail running!

So far so good. I have about 60 miles on my new Exodus Ultra 2's. I like the fit, no too wide or too thin, just right for my foot shape. Plenty of cushion and grippy tread. I trail run and backpack with them. They are holding up well to the abuse so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

I already have the Xodus Ultra and it's been my favorite all-round trail running shoes for some time now. For me, out of over a dozen different trail shoes I have, it has the best combination of weight, comfort, speed, traction, and ruggedness in one shoe. The only thing that could have been improved was a more snug fit in the forefoot/toe-box area and the Xodus Ultra 2 delivers. It's a bit too roomy in that area with the Xodus Ultra and requires me to wear double socks and/or lace down real tightly. I recently got the Peregrine 13 and it's great for speed and grip on technical trails, but I find it a bit snug and narrow in the forefoot area although it's fine for runs of up to 10 miles. The Xodus Ultra 2's fit is right in between the two for me and provides a virtually perfect fit from the forefoot through the heel. It's stable yet nimble and speedy although there are lighter and faster trail shoes out there, including the Peregrine 13. Although this may be subjective, the Xodus Ultra 2 also looks better than the Xodus Ultra. The upper on the XU2 is markedly improved over the XU not only in fit, but also in the looks department and in breathability. It isn't that hot in SoCal yet but it'll get there and I'm sure I'll appreciate the improved breathability when the time comes. From what I can tell, the midsole and outsole look and feel exactly the same as Xodus Ultra, but the improved fit of the upper does make a noticeable difference in the ride. I feel more secure in the runs - especially going downhill and when making sharp turns - and makes me feel I can run faster more effortlessly. I'm very happy with the Xodus Ultra 2 and will look forward to each trail run in it.
