Peregrines have been my go to trail running shoe for last 7-8 years -- great fit, roomy toe box, nimble, good grip on wide range of trails. Not any more. I'm returning the Peregrine 13 because the toe box is now too narrow and uncomfortable, even before the run starts. Why do manufacturers change the basic fit of their shoes? Good news is Peregrine 12 are still available on clearance. Ordered a pair that hopefully will last until we can see if the Peregrine 14 is any better.

Product was supposed to be wide but was not wide enough. Was replacing Peregrine purchased several years ago but the wide size of the toe box of this new version was no bigger and maybe even smaller. And unfortunately the shoes that arrived in the box were different sizes.

I have to stop buying Saucony's. I loved the old Koa TR, went through four pairs. Then they stopped making them, so I tried the Mad River. Bad. The Endorphin Rift. Also bad. Now the Peregrine. The shoe feels cheap to me, super hard, digs into my big toe. Grip and stability are good, but comfort is in the negative. Went on maybe 5 runs and have come home limping each time. I'm sure it'll be fine for some people, just not for me.

I bought this product 2 months ago. I only used in trails in the Pacific Northwest, mostly dry terrain of dirt and gravel and some mountain peaks. I tracked every run. after 260km , 1 week before my A race, it was in a bad shape. Previously I used a Saucony Peregrine trail 12 which lasts more, but still bad 450km before my toes pierce through the side of the shoes. I'm an not a fast or heavy runner. No idea how it can be so beaten up, without studs so quickly. The sole is not very grippy in rocks. Far worst than my hiking boot with Vibran rubber. The 13 is also less comfortable than the 12. I am sure about it now since I had to buy a new shoe for my A race. I bought the 12 which I liked much more. Saucony, whatever updates you did in the 13, was a step back.

Last 2 pairs have a back heel issue. I have bought 10-12 pairs and have never issues. Now the back right of the shoe has a piece of plastic type material that pokes through causing a blister.

Within two weeks the inside of the shoe developed a hole at the heel causing a blister. This is the second time I've had this issue. I run on dirt roads and not rough trail. Shoe fits great but disappointing the shoe doesn't hold up.
