I've routinely struggled to find shoes that don't cause me a lot of pain. Peregrine wides fit perfectly, which is why I've come back to these shoes three times now. They are my go-to trail runners. My only negative feedback is that the lugs don't withstand rocky terrane all that well. I have spotted one lug starting to split, and I've only had this recent pair for a few weeks. The comfort keeps me on the trail, which keeps me buying this product, but improving the sole's durability would go a long way toward making this a 5-star product.

The rubber compound used for the sole does not last very long. I wore these shoes for less than 2 months before completely wearing through the sole. Aside from that, the shoe is well made and fits true to size.

I bought this shoes like a month ago and I used it twice and after 5 or 6 miles in my 2 big toes hurt. I think the toes box is too narrow on this shoes because I don't even have flat feet and it was the right size. I really like everything else about them. I'm a big fan of Saucony, never had any issues before and I'm looking for other Saucony options.

I loved the Saucony Ride15 TR so figured I'd give their latest Peregrine a shot (I also used to run in the Peregrine 4!). It's really technical-feeling, so great for difficult trails and scrambles, but it's way less comfortable and more stiff than the Ride 15 TR, and I don't feel the additional technical handling of the peregrine outweighs the discomfort.
I developed pretty bad heel chafing on mine

Tight fit for wide shoes. I will have to donate them to charity. Debating buying a larger size. Love the design however.

Really like these shoes. I'm always looking for trail shoes that aren't too high but still have cushion and these are spot on. Super comfy, perfect amount of cushion without being too much stack. However the sole is about to split open and they only have about 40-50 miles on them :/
Looking forward to Peregrine 14 with a sole redesign .

Re-reviewing after more use (about 150mi). This remains my favorite Peregrine if not one of my favorite trail shoes I've used. I love the upper, the way it fits and feels and locks down on the foot- including the minimal tongue with just the right amount of padding to protect the foot. the upper material remains intact and sturdy, unlike the P12 which ripped pretty bad, as well as the Xodus Ultra 2. I love the midsole- a great update from the P12 which felt firm, the 13 has the sweet-spot of responsiveness and ground feel with good, increased cushion to feel fresh on your feet for quite a few hours. I really hope these features remain for the 14.
However some serious issues appeared after about 150mi. Like others reported, the center groove of exposed midsole on the outsole has began to split, which hasn't yet exploded or caused a problem but I'm sure it will. This seems like a design misfire. Most concerning is the tread of the outsole has worn down significantly at only 150mi today I slipped out on some looser dirt coming downhill and got a bit beat up. This is mostly a result of the ground conditions but I think the lack of lug depth and bite on my forefoot kept me from staying upright. I've also had traction issues with the XU2. I think it is time Saucony updates their outsoles compounds, if not moving to implement something like Vibram Mega Grip like many of their competitors have. With that update, the Peregrine 13 as well as Xodus Ultra 2 could be all if ever want for shorter faster and technical runs as well long/ultra days in the mountains.

I bought Saucony in the past and was very satisfied with the product. Although it's been a few years the current iteration appears to be of lesser quality. Very disappointing.

I bought these shoes approximately 4 months ago, replacing a pair of Peregrine 12s that had about ~300 miles on them. The heel on the 12 had failed at the exposed lightweight foam to the point rocks would cause pain in the heel and I would have to stop and dig them out. The 13s have been great as far as fit, comfort, the feel on the trail and grip on the terrain. I have approximately 300-400 miles on this pair and these have had the same heel failure as the 12s at the exposed foam in the heel. Last time only on the right foot but this time the right is about fully separated from the upper toward the inside and the left is starting to fail. This has now been an issue across a number of reviewers and across now multiple generations. Perhaps reconsider the exposed foam or simply do not allow it to extend out the back of the heel.

I have been buying Peregrines since the 9 came out. There are few trail shoes that work for me as I need a wide width and the Peregrine is a rare trail shoes that offers this width. I have generally been quite happy with these shoes. With the 12, Saucony introduced a wedge of soft material into the heel. I expect it is designed to allow the left and right sides of the heel to operate independently, so if you, say step on a rock on the right side of your heel, the shoe has less tendency to twist. Seems like a sensible innovation. The wedge, however, introduces a weak area into the shoe. The 12s failed on me after only a few runs and after burning through 2 pair of 12s I shifted to Altra Lone Peak's last year. I bought a pair of Peregrine 13s this spring. The wedge has lasted longer than that in the 12s, but it is still failing wel before the shoe is worn out. I have to dig rocks out of this wedge after every run.

I purchased the Peregrine 13 Wide shoes expecting them to fit just like my Guide 13 and 15 Wide. Unfortunately that was not the case. The toe box was nearly 1/2 inches narrower making the shoe too narrow for a comfortable fit. The build looked equally as good as the Guides. I am somewhat disappointed because I truly like Saucony shoes. Maybe this issue can be rectified so I can continue to trust the Brand.

Saucony does it again, the shoe is too narrow. I was only able to order a medium, as the wide were out. So, I have to return them, as the shoe is too narrow in the frame and too slim in the shoe, hurting my feet and ankle, my walk and gait.

This is my 4th pair of Peregrines. I really want to like this shoe, but it is not a wide shoe. I am preparing to thru hike the Appalachian Trail in 2025. I need a wide toe box which these do not have even though they are advertised as wide.

I have been a loyal Peregrine customer for many years. This is my 4th pair. Unfortunately, the shoe delivered feels cheaper in terms of materials and less cushioning. I am not super impressed.

They're fine. With the added stack height it's like running on stilts after previous versions. Turned them into hikers and found something else.

I have been doing extensive, hardcore trail running on Saucony Peregrines for over 5 years now. They are the best in terms of stability and comfort. Perfect for doing steep scrambles, too -- like Huntington Ravine in New Hampshire.
However, my Peregrine 13's have suffered the same fate as that of both of my sets of 12's: the heel split apart. The heels on my 12's split around 150 miles, though; on my 13's, it has taken just 60 miles for the first cracks to appear (although they haven't gone fully through yet). It is not fun when you are in the middle of a 12 mile run on rocky terrain, and sharp rocks keep getting lodged in the heel of your shoe, jabbing the heel of your foot.
Maybe Peregrines are no longer suitable for rugged trails? Maybe only use them on flat dirt/gravel trails?
If future versions of the Peregrine continue to have this type of heel design, I will have find something else, sadly -- and because Saucony does not have anything similar (4mm drop, aggressive lugs), it will have to be from a different brand.

The Peregrine 13s offer excellent grip, cushioning and protection. They feel much lighter than they look and perform excellent on technical trails. Unfortunately, within the first 20 miles the upper fabric began to separate across the crease point behind the forefoot (see pic). I have not seen this mentioned in other reviews, so I assume this is a manufacturing defect and not necessarily a design flaw. Hopefully your experience is better as I really enjoy the performance of these shoes and apart from the single defect, they seem substantially built with no other signs of breakdown.

I have tried everything to adjust one of the shoes. Taking the liner out of my old Saucony shoes helped a bit. I had worn the shoes thinking the one area would work itself out on my right foot. Mail ordering shoes is not a good practice going forward. Maybe a larger size was needed above other brands. I will keep trying. Good news is that the shoe looks great.

This is my second pair of these and this model is a huge step back! I wore them for the first long trail test and now have two giant blisters on the side of my heel. The shoe flexes far too much compared to my other older pair.

This is my 3rd pair of this shoe model. Unfortunately, it appears the internal foot base has been re-designed, and is much more flexible than the previous shoes I purchased. The result for me is a high degree of ankle and knee pain. I will be unable to use them further
