Tried to make these like Hokas. Not a good move. Just not the same.

Purchased these a week ago. The cushion is fabulous! I really want to love them but for my foot, they are not the right fit. They felt perfect to start but midway through my 5 mile walk, my toes started to get numb. The fabric around toe box is very stretchy (great for some people), for me, my feet slide forward and my toes hit the from. I've tried tying the shoes differently and also tried different types of inserts to fill space however, my toes hurt, I won't be able to wear them and can't return since I've worn them. Additionally the fabric on right shoe near toe, got a slight tear on my first wear.

Overall these shoes are great, but the shoe laces have snapped after only a short time. I have never had shoe laces snap on running shoes before. The design of shoe lace holes should be changed back to standard to avoid putting too much strain on laces when tying shoes causing to snap.

The tongue of the shoe rubs against my leg so much that I was afraid it would cause an abrasion. It’s just a little bit too long. I bought a pair of Hoka’s instead. They fit as well as the ASICS I’ve been wearing for 10 years. A week after I bought them I went to Europe for 3 weeks. I’d just started having plantar fasciitis pain, got in to see a podiatrist and got new orthotics. Haven’t had the slightest twinge of pain in my foot ever since buying the shoes. I have wide feet with a high arch and a high vamp.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka

I have always bought Asics Nimbus but these do not have a neutral foot strike like the old style. The drop from back to front caused knee pain. And the new design put pressure on the outside of my foot. Pretty shoe but that’s all.
I'd also recommend:

I have worn Gel Nimbus for years. These are nothing like previous versions. Much too wide. Did not feel comfortable at all.

I went to Fleet Feet to get my feet scanned and an associate recommended these shoes. I tried them on in store, loved them, and hurried back home to order them from ASICS.
First mistake: I ordered the white ones. I know, I know. Why order white running shoes when I KNOW they'll get dirty? Well, maybe it's because my white Hokas set my expectations high. I've only been using my ASICS for 2 months and they have gotten completely dirty lol but I'm willing to accept that it's on me!
Second mistake: I thought I liked lots of cushioning based on my affinity for Hokas. However, I'm not sure what it is with these ASICS but I do not love the cushion here. It's uncomfortable.
Overall, these actually hurt my feet when running when ironically I was going to use them as recovery shoes. Sad I can't return them, but at least I know to never buy or recommend these sneakers again.

As a long time Nimbus wearer I was excited to try these, but between the massive stack height and the lower drop, they just didn't work for me. I also found they ran 1/2 size larger than the 24's. I hope Asics brings back a similar style to the 24's which have been my all time favorite in the line!

I have always worn the same size in Asics, but these shoes are huge! I am trying to make them work with insoles, but they are not at all comfortable compared to other Asics shoes I have owned. Lack of padding in the tongue is an issue.

I have had plantar faciitis in the past and have bought nothing but Asics Gel-Nimbus for many years. I do not care for the Gel-Nimbus style at all. I prefer the previous sole style.

Not comfy. Not sure if I should have sized up, I bought my usual size. My feet hurt so much with these and after 3 miles my toes got numb for some reason. It was such a strange experience. Wore once, could not stand it, I had to find a different option. The color was so pretty, I wish it would have worked out.

I am more of a walker than a runner and I wore my nimbus 23's for YEARS. It seemed obvious to me that my next shoe should just be the upgraded version. These are so different from the 23's in my experience when I am walking as I roll through my foot and land on my toes it feels like my big toes significantly drop - this might be an advantageous running feature but walking in them felt weird.

I have been running with asics gel nimbus sneakers for 25+ years and this is the worst designed shoe ever. I bought my daughter a pair too and she also dislikes the design. If I could still buy the 24 I would. Please go back to that design. Focus on cushion, stability and lightness, those are the features that brought me to the nimbus in the 1st place. The 25's are light but in a poor quality feel, they are not a stable shoe and the cushion feels like it will break down quicker than with prior models.

I'm trying to wear these shoes every once in a while but they aren't like the nimbus 24 at all. They hurt. But they were expensive so I'm trying to wear them. I'm not sure how to explain how but these are very weird on my feet. But there's no option to buy the 24s anymore.

The GEL-NIMBUS 25 hurt my knees so badly I had trouble walking for a week and had trouble walking up and down the stairs. I can't wear them at all. Very disappointed. I have never been so unhappy about a pair of shoes.

I'm really surprised I got invited to do a review since I have already contacted ASICS regarding my disappointment in this shoe. I have been running in ASICS gel nimbus for over 10 years and this is the first shoe that o have given up on. Too many changes were made and this was a completely different shoe in just one generation.

Gel-nimbus 25s are VERY different from the 24s ! No longer the ultimate cushioning shoe. Stiff sole. So disappointed in ASCIS.

These are the worst shoes I have ever bought. Unfortunately, I took off the tags thinking they were Asics and I've never owned a pair I didn't like so I could not return them. When I put them on they immediately hurt my feet. Bring back the Gel nimbus 11. They were by far the best shoe ever made.

I wear size 7.5 Wide Asics. For these particular shoes, I had to make two purchases: one size 7.5 W and another size 8 W. Both were tight at the toes both lengthwise and widthwise. And the shoes did not feel roomy or comfortable at all.
There was a mistake in designing and manufacturing this shoe in my opinion! I will go back to buying older, less expensive Asics shoes when I forget about having to pay twice for the two returns.
