I love my Hoka Mach 6 shoes. However, rain goes right through the mesh and I live in the Pacific NW, so lots of rain. I tried these since they are water resistant hoping for the same fit. They don't feel anything like my Mach 6. They run large (my heel slips around) and the arch doesn't hit my foot right. I also don't get that wonderful cush and spring forward feel that the mach 6 gives me. I hope Hoka's comes out with more rain proof styles!

Only shoes I buy for all my endurance events and every day for that matter! Worth the money - my feet always thank me! :)

I've tried so many different brands of Hokas. However, I loved the Challenger 7 Gore-Tex because I love how they feel when walking, jogging, or running on city streets.

I bought the Challenger 7 GTX because its colors are beautiful, and I love my Bondi 8 so much I thought I could trust the brand. I have knee osteoarthritis and need lots of insulation to protect me from pounding on cement sidewalks and hiking trails. But this had very little bounce, padding or protection compared to the Bondi. Worse, one of the shoes keeps coming up in the back when I walk, and I have to tie it very tightly to keep it firmly on. This has never happened to me in my life before. I'm a perfect size 7B and have no fitting problems. I decided to keep the shoes because I don't think they are dangerous, and they look so pretty, but I won't be wearing them when I'm going to be doing much walking. I expected more since they're more expensive than my go-to shoe, Allbirds. But Allbirds are much better for my needs, and I don't think I'll be experimenting with Hoka again. Expensive and don't do what a high quality running shoe should do? No.

There is no way these shoes are Gore Tex, my feet were soaked, so disappointed in the quality for the cost, Hoka's arent what they used to be.

Just received these & originally had 2 nd thoughts on the fit and comfort of these shoes. When I put them on they seemed quite large & stiff. After awhile, they got more comfortable. They actually fit pretty well, even though the bottom is quite flat & not cushioned. They are very different from the HOKA Mach 5 that I have been wearing. I’m keeping them because they make my feet feel quite secure.

Good sneakers. Good for walking. I wear 9 and ordered 9. They feel a bit too big. Have used them twice and walked total of 6 miles.

I bought these because I loved the color, when I put them on, I was skeptical, but when I took them out for a walk, I was very impressed with the soft comfort, like walking on pillows and I can feel the support and stability! I'd recommend these and will be ordering a couple others styles that are meant for just walking! I waited a year to purchase, as I just loved the color I'd chosen, I wish I'd gotten them sooner

This is my first pair of Hokas I've tried. I usually wear a 9 in athletic shoes and ordered a 9 and they fit as expected. They do have good cushion and some arch support. Before I go running in them, I have been wearing them around the house to get a feel for them. They seem fine, but I wouldn't say they are spectacular. They make my feet look HUGE. I compared them to my other size 9 running shoes and those looked about an inch shorter and narrower than the Hokas. It is definitely the sole that makes the shoe look so big. Not a real fan of that, but if they are comfortable to run in as I hope they are, I guess I don't care, but I wouldn't wear them for atheleisure because of how big they look. If you have small feet, then the size may not bother you much. Hokas definitely have some fun color combos, which is what attracted me to them. They aren't boring, I'll give them that. They are pricey, so the question is would I order Hokas again? I don't know, I think the jury is still out on that.

I use the Challenger 7 GTX for all my hikes. Did two 13 mile plus hikes in them and they are great. I wish they'd bring back more colors. I may try the Stinson, but I like the waterproof feature on the Challenger I recommend them to my girlfriends

Like they are rugged & waterproof; but the worst foot feeling to wear during the rainy season. Feet feel miserable. My other Hoka are better.

Since my doctor told me I had plantar fasciitis I searched for a shoe that would give me pain relief from my feet and knees. I tried hoka and have been a proud wearer every since. The soles of these shoes are like little clouds from heaven. Hoka is now my go-to shoe.

I got the Challenger 7 GTX to go for morning walks across different terrains, including (lots of) wet grass. I needed something waterproof and with some traction, but that could also function on paved roads. The shoe is fantastic for that. I love my Bondi 8s for walking/running on roads, but the Challenger 7 GTX is perfect for my morning walk needs. It seems a bit longer than the Bondi 8--I can fit my orthotic in a size 8 Challenger GTX, whereas with other Hokas I have to go up a half size to fit the orthotics comfortably. Everyone says it's narrow, but I have narrow feet so I don't notice that. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a waterproof walk/run shoe. I'll definitely buy it again.

I have worn Challenger for years with great fit and comfort - wore out my 6's.These 7's are a huge disappointment! Too narrow in the tow box, the raised lip pm at the heel is not comfortable- my heel slips!!! I tried to get them to feel comfortable but they don't work! Returned.

I wore these sneakers to Six Flags Great America. As most know, that's an all-day event that requires walking. My feet did not ache one bit.

Very nice, as always with Hoka. The only issue is the length and width. I can wear them, and didn't return them, but I would order a 1/2 size larger for the best fit.

Challenger 7 got me through the Camino and are my miracle shoe. So I was excited to find the same model with gore Tex. However, after purchasing , and walking long distance, they didn't have the same comfort feeling as the regular ones. The fit was stiffer and it seemed that I could feel the top edge of the shoe rubbing my ankle bone. I kept trying to break them in by wearing often to soften the feel, but unfortunately they don't seem to be getting any better but too late to return. So probably attribute it to the gore Tex which I've read can make a shoe stiffer and less breathable. Also, didn't seem to be as much cushion, but hard to know why they aren't as comfortable. The regular ones were amazing right out of the box, no breaking in. My only wish is that they would make more colors, like white ones. I'm really getting tired of the bright colors and would prefer more muted.

Very comfortable! I love the colors and the style. However, they are big for a size 5. I kept them because I do like the style and no smaller options. Or sure I would buy again.

This shoe is NOT waterproof. I bought this shoe so that I could walk in the rain and keep my feet dry. I just went out for a rainy walk and my feet got soaked. I didn't even try to walk through puddles. I would really like to return these shoes. I like HOKAS and have worn them exclusively since seeing them at the expo for the Chicago marathon in 2010.

I have several pairs of Hokas and love all of them except for this one. The shoe is narrow (made my foot fall asleep) and tilts down towards your big toe when walking. Should have listened to the reviews - had to return.

I love these shoes so much, I started with brooks then to oncloud then hoka. And I will never go back unless it's a cute shoe I really like. But these by far are my favorite these do not and have not ever made my feet hurt!

There is a very hard part of the shoe that rubs against the inside part of my foot, very painful. Bulky shoe, does have good cushion but be ware of the middle inside area that rubs. Not a good looking shoe
