My first pair ever of Hoka and they did not disappoint. I walk my pups four hours a day and these shoes provide the comfort and stability I need!>

This shoe hurt my feet and I had to return them - so disappointed because I really need a good pair of shoes for walking and working.

I have bought this exact Hoka shoe in the past year and loved it. This new one was totally different in a bad way-different fit, different feel, poorer quality. I suspect it was made in a different factory. I’m very disappointed.

My first hoka was Bondi. They were very comfortable. I ordered this pair, same size. They are light but felt cheap and the toe box was too narrow. I don't think this comes in wide sized so I have to find a different waterproof all black shoe.

I love the style and the look, but it is too narrow for me, and it is very stiff. my feel hurt only after a few minutes. Have to return it.

I used these Hoka's for walking my dog in the mornings. I wanted a lightweight waterproof Hoka for the summer. My feet were wet after walking. I returned them.

The shoe is comfortable but keeps rubbing on back of heel after tightening the laces. Most shoes need breaking in but shoe seemed too stiff for my taste

Pair felt like they were custom made or already broken in when put on first time.

The Challenger ATR 7 GTX have been my absolute favorite running shoes (I even wear my old pair for every day and yard work use). This style has been perfect for my new-found love of trail running in the ever-rainy Pacific Northwest. My feet are never wet, the mud wipes away easily, and the studded tread is great for both road running and trail runs. This new pair does feel more narrow than the last, but it's possible that I just need to break them in more for my foot shape or try a different lacing technique.

I generally love Hoka shoes, have bought them for work and for running. This pair was awful. I've worn them twice, and the soles feel like hard, slippery plastic on the trails instead of the softer, grippy feel I've come to expect. Very disappointed!!

The gortex shoe it's so stiff. And when you go to bend your foot, the material is so harsh, it pinches the side of your foot. To the point that you stop what you're doing. This shoe is not functional

These shoes are great on all kinds of terrain! I've worn them on gravelly or grassy trails, road-running, hiking, & dog-walking, and my feet have always stayed dry. I have normal-width feet but I've been wearing a metatarsal pad on one foot and there is enough room in the toe box that they are still comfortable. Size-wise I normally wear a 7 in Brooks Adrenaline and got a 6.5 in these and to me they feel about the same in length, and slightly wider/roomier in the toe box.

I had the Challenger previously and loved them. Unfortunately the Challenger ATR 7 GTX is way too much shoe. There fore i am in the process of returning them. Also I ordered an 8 W and they seem a bit too large. You might like this show but for me as someone who is 5'3" and weighs 102 small bones, too much shoe.

The 10B is too narrow and the 10.5B is too big in the toe and heel. There isn’t a wider option available in size 10. I first purchased a size 10B Hoka Challenger 7 in late September ‘24 - it fit great and my feet stayed dry through wet grass, walking 2-3 miles per day. But by April ‘25, they were no longer water proof and a rubber piece on one sole fell off. To replace that pair, I ordered 2 sizes of the same model because I have a different model of Hoka (Arahi 7) that is 10.5. It’s frustrating that neither pair of the new Challenger 7 fit. Due to the quality of the previous shoe, I will probably not get this shoe again.

I REALLY wanted to love these shoes, and I did at first, everything from the fit, the low profile and comfort was spot on. However, when I tried to wear them out after it had rained the night before, I was slipping all over the place! I was really bummed since these shoes checked all of the boxes for me, the fact that they are Gore-Tex was also a hopeful sign for me(I work in law enforcement so anything that keeps my feet clean and dry is a plus). I think these would be an excellent shoe for someone who does a lot of walking but not if you are looking for a slip resistant shoe.

The fit was loose, but mainly there was no arch support for me. Also, the material seemed cheap, as what looked like a material change online was just a plastic decal on the actual shoe! Flimsy.
