Not as comfortable as my Hoka Bondi's. Did not like the fit or the stiffness of the gore-tex.

This was my third pair of HokasClifton's, Biondis and now the Challenger. I couldn't wait for them to come in.then they did, and I put them onand almost immediately something in my knees felt funny. So I took them off and waited for the lock laces and it wasn't so badthinking they were maybe too tight and using the wrong socks. They feel really RIGID. Yesterday, I took the longest walk and I could not wait to get home, and I wanted to chop my left foot off because it hurt so bad. This morning, I put my Biondis on and all is well againwow. Too late to return and it really sucks because I love the new color combo, but I just can't wear these any more.

There is no way these shoes are Gore Tex, my feet were soaked, so disappointed in the quality for the cost, Hoka's arent what they used to be.

I have worn Challenger for years with great fit and comfort - wore out my 6's.These 7's are a huge disappointment! Too narrow in the tow box, the raised lip pm at the heel is not comfortable- my heel slips!!! I tried to get them to feel comfortable but they don't work! Returned.

This shoe is NOT waterproof. I bought this shoe so that I could walk in the rain and keep my feet dry. I just went out for a rainy walk and my feet got soaked. I didn't even try to walk through puddles. I would really like to return these shoes. I like HOKAS and have worn them exclusively since seeing them at the expo for the Chicago marathon in 2010.

The Challenger 7 GTX has my feet burning and hurting so bad. My job requires me to walk most of my 10 hour shift and these sneakers have my feet hurting after my shift. I only worn them to work one day and never put them back on.

The shoes fit well but they weren't comfortable. They are listed as well-padded but they're not. The sole is stiff, which is great for trail shoes, but the padding in the shoes isn't great, which is why I tried them. I returned them

I am a brooks girl and every time I receive my package from brooks withering or trying the shoes I m in AWEEE. I decided to try these because of how trendy this brand is now and they felt so light but not light in a good way more like light as in cheap! Felt like I ordered off of temu. Also not comfortable at all, no cushion, they feel hard and uncomfortable.

This is my 9th pair of hokas- I am completely married to the brand. I wanted a trail/road combo shoe good for wet PNW running, similar in weight to my beloved Clifton's. So, I asked for the Challenger 7 GTX's for my birthday.
*disclaimer- the shoes rock. Quality check, not so much.
Upon receiving my order, I noticed a defect in the left shoe. The glue where the tread wraps up to the toe box (the "nose" of the shoe) appears to have failed and is peeling apart.
I called to make an exchange but Lucas (very kind) from customer service unfortunately let me know that the exact shoe I had purchased (size and color combination) is officially sold out. No other shoe retailer is selling this colorway eitherThis was the reason I bought from Hoka directly!
I'm frustrated that it seems like my only option is to send them back, wait for the order to be accepted and reviewed, then go through the entire buying process again only to be left with a shoe I purposely didn't buy. Around the holidays, this whole process will take exponentially longer I'm sure.
I purchased these specifically for an upcoming race to match my girlfriends- feeling dejected that I am at a loss due to a clear defect that went unnoticed during QA.
Do I just keep the shoes knowing they're going to fall apart faster? Or, go through a lengthy, annoying process just to have a mismatched shoe I purposely didn't select? Feeling like this birthday order didn't go my way and I wish customer service could somehow make things right for this quality issue. Don't let me down now, Hoka!

The Challenger hurts my feet and I will be returning them. I really want Stinson but I couldn't find a solid color. Do you have a solid color Stinson?

The sneakers are ill fitting and I think it is because of the design. It is not helping with balance either, I feel like I am going to fall every time I wear them. Not worth the price or the hype.

They are comfortable. but make a popping noise when I walk. They also make my feet hot... I have never had this issue before with other tennis shoes.

this shoe is not comfortable like the Hoka's that I have owned in the past. They have a firmer bottom that just doesn't do it for me. They are also ugly and look like orthopedic shoes for old people.

i am so upset with this purchase. i work on my feet at a very active/outdoor job that includes rugged terrain and lots of climbing. i had heard nothing but good things about hokas so decided to try these out as my first pair. as soon as i got them i was disappointed. they were not nearly as comfy as everyone made them out to be. they definitely have a lot of support but did not have "plush" comfort in any way. even with my own insoles my feet would ache at the end of a simple 8 hour shift. and i mean ACHE. for DAYS. i got the goretex as well due to the nature of my job but it honestly did not make any difference. i even wore them for a month with the hopes of breaking them in. absolutely no luck, and now i can't even return them. i took a chance on these shoes because i'd heard such amazing things and i'm honestly SO disappointed. they aren't as durable as i was hoping either. and only waterproof for about an hour of rain. after reading the reviews i went a half size up and they fit fine, maybe a little too big (but i KNOW the 8 would've been too small)
so if you're thinking of buying these shoes, i would recommend sizing up, and return them right away if you don't like them because they will not get broken in.

Bought these as recommended by my doctor. He said it would be like walking on marshmallows. They were stiff and hard and NOTHING like walking on. marshmallows. And they're crazy expensive. For the same price I ordered 2 pairs from an ortho shoe site.

Unfortunately this is my 2nd pair of Hokas that I'm having issues with . This pair is causing me ankle pain . My last pair caused blisters. I think it might be time to try a different brand of shoes .
