I have been battling Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis in my left foot for years and Hokas are the only shoes that have kept me on my feet! I bought these for trail running in rain, snow and mud and they provide the great cushioning, however the toe box is too tight and I need a wide size so I had to return them. I would try men's as recommended but unfortunately they do not sell any sizes smaller 7 and I need a 6.5. Please consider adding some cushioned GTX trial running shoes in wide sizes for women in the future!

These shoes!!!! They have the GTX sole for slippery conditions. I have 2 pair of Arahi, if it is slightly wet on pavement/floors they are like being on an ice rink. I wish this style came with a non-slip sole!!!! Plus they have Wide options. The GTX is a lovely shoe but not wide enough. It did take my insoles well as do the Arahi 6. Unfortunately there is no Wide option for this style - why not? So unfortunately I have to return them. I was wondering if I bought. Men's size 8 would they be wider? I wear a Ladie's 10. So sadly I am beginning the return process after I finish this review. I sure loved the color combination that I got! I wish the Arahi 6 came in Gore Tex soles!!!!

They run about 1/2 size short. I wear a 7 1/2 and too short. Just sent them back to exchange for an 8.

fit is good
I have higher arches so the arch support isn’t enough for me to be comfortable

I have not tried out the waterproof feature of these shoes, but I used them for several long hikes in the desert. The are very comfortable and I look forward to trying them on a wet trail. The reason for only 4 stars is because the fit was a little odd. They are the perfect length and width, but the fabric over the top of my foot did not touch my foot and wrinkled up when I pulled the laces tight. I took a thin ortholite insole out of an older pair of Cliftons and put it in the shoe, directly on top of the insoles that the shoes came with. That made the fit perfect! I do have a narrow (and apparently not very tall) foot.
I like the bright orange color of these shoes as well.

I bought this product to wear when walking my dog through varying terrain and under varying weather conditions. Owing to a persistent drought, I only recently got to try them out. They are not as cushy and comfortable as the Bondi 8 which I wore all summer, but the sole is rugged and better equipped to deal with wet, slippery conditionshence it will be safer.

Hokas are by far the most comfortable shoe unfortunately the soles wear out quickly. At the price point for these shoes the soles should last more than three months. I am not overweight and use them for walking. Disappointing.

Super comfortable sneakers. I'm been wanting to try these shoes for some months already. I love them. Feels like walking in clouds. Super happy to have them. Worth the price!

I wanted to love these but they didin't feel like the toe box was big enough,,
Really nice well made shoe that just didn't work for my foot.
Return was really easy.. I didn't do the 30 day trial cause I know they weren't going to work...

These are nice looking & very light weight. Feels like you’re not wearing anything. I also loved that they are waterproof. I had to return them because I’m a bit overweight & needed more support/cushioning to help with my lower back, leg & heel pain.

These style was clunky and big. This is a totally subjective review about appearance. If you are not put off by that, I think it might be a good shoe.

I'm an avid Hoka wearer as my military injuries force me to wear the best quality running shoes I can get my hands on. It's very normal for me to have to replace my running shoes three to four times a year due to the fact that my back is a complete mess. While looking for yet another new pair, I fell in love with a woman's size 10.5 which is the same size I wear in men's sizes. Unfortunately the gamble did not pay off quite as I had hoped it might as they fit properly lengthwise but are to wide and airy in the front half of the shoe. However, I would definitely recommend the shoe to anyone looking for a true quality running shoe just stick to men's or women's as it may apply to you

The shoes fit well comfortable as all my Hoka shoes are, but I did not like the sick green color tending toward teal .

Very cushy soles, mostly very comfortable except that the toe box didn't have enough 'give' (when I bent my toes, as in running) due to the rubberized collar around the edge. The design of the round toe box was ample and would have worked except for my long toes: the restriction on the top of my toes felt like they were being squeezed...uncomfortably so. As a result, I am going to return this pair of Challenger 7's and go with the SpeedGoat 5 pair I ordered at the same time.

Flashy shoe. The thick soles are nice but toes and heels are really pointy. Feels like I have two inches of padding around my entire foot. Pretty boxy, especially the instep. Feet definatly don't look very streamlined in these. I even checked to make sure I ordered a womens size. Very roomy shoe.
I'd also recommend:
On, Dansko, Birkenstock, Van's, Converse, Sanrita

Only issue is the grips at the bottom seem slippery when some areas are wet from the rain or humidity. I hope the ground where I'll be hiking ( Japan ) won't be slippery.

Fantastic shoes! This is my very first Hoka!
However, my shoe size is usually 8 8 1/2 so I ordered 8 1/2 but it is about a size bigger than my feet. My European size is 38 this one is European size 40. I just ordered a smaller size. Also, it seems a little wide but it might be due to its oversize. All together looks like a great shoes. I can't wait to wear it.
