I bought the Hoka shoes to get a more modern look (vs. my Clarks' Wave shoes), and to limit myself to one pair of shoes on an upcoming trip to Macha Pichu and the Galapagos. I love how they feel, especially during a walk. I have tried two 4-mile walks, and worn them often for daily use. Unfortunately, my right big toe hurts after a walk. Standing on my feet for 3 hours doing household chores causes the heel bottom to ache. I don't have either of these reactions when I wear the clunky Clarke shoes! So I am at a loss of whether to keep them or submit a return.

I have mixed feelings about the women's Challenger 7. Pros; The shoe seems to be the same in the parts that matter to me: fit, rebound, and trail eating tread. Still gives security on slippery leaf litter and steep, sandy, scree slopes. Cons: The heel pull tab has morphed from a loop to a horn. A big form change for an easily remedied inconvenience. As always I need to buy a half size up to get the width needed to fit over my massive bunion. The colour selection is truly regrettable. More suited to a low to middle income suburban street than an off the grid rooty, rocky, wilderness track.

Not enough cushioning on heals. After my 8hr shift, my heels were aching terribly.

I love the shoes but are way too big.

A very nice pair. It feels great and looks good on the feet.

It went perfectly for my hiking trip. My heel didn't hurt. The only problem I find is once awhile the front of the shoes get caught at the ground. I'm not sure how to explain it. This never happened to me before. Not sure if the shoes is a little big?

I purchased the Challenger in two colors. Love the bright shades available. I didn't give them 5 stars because the inner sole padding isn't as cushioned as my Clifton 9 pair. However it does provide amble toe room.

These are super cool looking & crazy comfortable. My only wish is that Hoka was 100% Vegan & that the parent company only supported 100% Vegan companies.

These feel great right out of box and nice wide shoe with good cushion on trails or pavement

I would like the shoe with mor cushion.

I seem to have low back & knee pain when I wear these new Challengers. But it could be coincidental. Other than that, I like them. I alternate with the comfy Cliftons.. I have swung a handful of skeptics over to the Hoka brand and they are happy walkers now.

Love it ! This shoe may be made a little more narrow at the toes but not to bad. The color are beautiful!

I've just started having a problem with plantar fasciitis and HOKA shoes were recommended. I meant to order HOKA Bondi 8 but ended up with these by mistake. I get a lot of compliments on them but not the complete relief I need. They are more comfortable than the other shoes I have.

Love the colors of these shoes, especially love that soles are colored!! I hate white sole sneakers.remind me of old lady shoes .

Very comfortable and look good too. I'm on my feet all day, and I keep going back to these!

I have very arthritic feet and need wide width, higher toe box, lots of cushioning and the ability to accommodate my AFO. HOKA shoes provide all of these features.
