For almost two years I've worn the same pair of Bondi 7 or Gaviota 3 Hokas daily - both as workout and daily shoes. Since both models have been updated, I decided to purchase the Clifton 9 as a replacement. They fit well with (and without) my orthotics, providing sufficient toe box room, a well cushioned, flatter and slightly stiffer sole (thinner maybe?), and slightly tighter heel. I've worn them and worked out in them (lifting and running) for several days and hm very happy with my purchase. I purchased the black and rose gold, which turned out to be less "in-your-face" than the black and white I usually wear. These really do look nice. Happy purchase!

This is my second pair of Clifton 9's. I walk at least 2 miles a day in them, 7 days a week, and they last me about 7 months before the tread on the bottom makes them unsafe in wet weather. I read that 500 miles is about right for a walking shoe, so I'm satisfied that my Hoka's do just fine. Very comfortable, and I like the choices for colors. I got the black with rainbow accents and they came with cool rainbow shoelaces that I swapped out for the black. They look great.

Hoka Clifton's are great for walking, especially if you need a lot of cushion and support.
