I have 3 pairs of the Clifton 7's and LOVE them!!! However when HOKA decided to "redesign" the Clifton's the Clifton 9 are too bulky and the shoe rubs my ankles the wrong way and not comfortable. I need a wide shoe box however these are too bulky!!

My family and I love this brand but I recently purchased the Clifton 9s as a birthday present for my mom and she has been in extreme pain from these shoes. The shoes are uncomfortable every time she wears them and actually have caused her to have multiple foot cramps. As a family of HOKA wearers we are extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Unsure if there was a recent manufacturing change or something but this is something the company should definitely look into.

I would not buy these they hurt my feet to stand in them pinch sides it feels like also

I purchased these as a birthday gift for my daughter she wore them for a month before they started coming apart. She contacted customer service, even sent them pictures and they said she needed to send them back but they couldn't replace them with the same color. I think customer service should make it right buy just sending her a new pair regardless of color and she shouldn't have to send the original pair back.

I have to agree with the comment if it isn't broke, don't fix it. I loved my Clifton 8s and should have returned the 9s but I kept hoping I would break them in. It has been months, and I can't get use to the Clifton 9s. I would like some advice on what shoe would be similar to the Clifton 8. I love Hokas...just not the update to the Clifton.

I worse it for work and by end of the day lateral side of my left feet is throbbing and killing me. It's so painful. I love hokas but this was an awful experience.

They are too big.

I've had my Clifton 9's for about 4 1/2 months and enjoyed running in them but I'm seriously unimpressed by how the soles have worn down in that time. I run/walk 3-4 times per week, average about 4-5 km each run. The rubbish outsole is wearing off quickly and in many places is down to the foam. When I run the rubber outsole that is wearing off flaps around. The foam is starting to wear down and in places it is very smooth. For an expensive pair of runners you would expect them to last a lot longer and not show premature wear on the soles. I have photos of soles at 3 months use. 4 months use and today 4 1/2 months use showing the continued deterioration of the soles. I have contacted HOKA NZ THREE TIMES about the quality of soles and each time they have declined to do anything stating that it's normal wear and tear! This is obviously not normal wear and tear. The soles should be in a lot better condition for the limited amount of running that I do. Extremely unimpressed with response from HOKA NZ. I would not touch this brand again due to lack of quality and customer service. I tried to upload the 3 photos for this review but it wouldn't work

Not comfortable. And I don't like the curved sole.

I am a longtime hoka wearer, and have bought over 6 pairs thourghout the years. I was highly disappointed with this version (the clifton 9's) because within a few weeks the soles peeled off!! Very discouraged by the customer support experience given I beleive this to be a manufacturing flaw, but when I contacted support they could not exchange for a non-defective pair.

I was looking forward to these shoes because they came highly rated. However, I was super disappointed to find both of the soles coming off of the shoe at only 3 weeks of use. I had to send it back for a replacement, but it is not a good first impression of this brand.

Not much of a selection and shoes are very wide. Also, after I purchased I see a sale.

I've bought six or seven versions of this shoe and loved them all - except this one. The design of the sole. or insole makes my toes hurt! Also I feel the style is not attractive this time - the white trim marks on the black shoe are a bad design and make the shoes look clunky.
